1 ART Vendor Application The name of this event might require a little explanation. Rifle is poised at an interesting juncture. It's not alpine, and not exactly desert, not old-time West nor fully modern, and folks like sports and arts and all types of culture. Rifle is the kind of place that allows a person to truly embrace the things that interest them without the fear of not fitting in. promises to attract many visitors to participate and experience one or more of the activities featured, a mountain bike race, a 5K run, an all-sports swap meet, a gun show, food trucks, arts and crafts, music and family entertainment. IMPORTANT DATES Application Deadline: August 16, 2017 Acceptance August 30 Refund/Cancelation Deadline: September 8 (full refund) September 15 (partial refund) No refund after September 15. RREDC! 2 ELIGIBILITY is a juried arts and crafts show. Any artist or craft person exhibiting his or her own handmade works of art. (Not manufactured, not imported) Any community service, civic, or social organization, or educational institution selling only its own works of art. Criteria for judging include quality and uniqueness of items. Readymade items will be considered only if there are remaining spaces available after the arts and crafts vendors are chosen and will also be juried in by the quality and uniqueness of items. Un-deposited checks will be destroyed unless you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your application. SINGLE SPACE: $150 $75 inaugural year discount! Deposited after acceptance August 30 SINGLE SPACE NON PROFIT: $75 $50 inaugural year discount! (proof of non-profit status required) DIGITAL IMAGES Digital images submission form must be included with your application. digital images to: siltbeauchamp@live.com See quality requirements. SALES TAX Vendors are required to record gross sales for the day of the event, collect and pay city sales taxes during one of the designated check-out times and BEFORE leaving the event. Vendors are required to pay a city sales tax of 4.25% and self-pay the required state taxes. Information will be sent upon acceptance. BOOTH CONSTRUCTION a 10 X 10 space is provided. All necessary building material is the responsibility of the vendor. SHARED BOOTHS Up to three artists may share a booth, however, a $20 fee will be added to the space fee for each additional artist and all must complete separate applications and digital images. All must be juried in. LATE APPLICATIONS submitted after the August 30 deadline must include a $40 late application fee. Late applications will be juried against existing wait list only when space becomes available. REFUND POLICY Space fees are refundable for cancellations received in writing by or standard mail by September 8. Half of the space fee will be refunded (after the event) for cancellations received between ART Vendor Rules Keep this page for reference RREDC!

4 BY SIGNING THIS APPLICATION FORM, YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THESE RULES/REGULATIONS: Space selection and placement is final and at the discretion of the committee. Vendors must be ready by 10:00 am. Vendors must provide their own tent/canopy, tables, and other display materials. This is an outside event; we do not cancel for weather. There are no refunds in the event of inclement weather. Vendor parking is available on the 2 nd street lot. See included map for parking location. Pick up parking permit at time of check-in. Work displayed is at the risk of the vendor. The committee is not responsible for the loss, damage, or possible theft of any products and equipment. Vendors are encouraged to carry their own liability insurance policy to cover their booth, product, rented space and staff. Vendors may only sell items that have been juried into the event. This is a non-smoking event. This includes refraining from vaping/e-cigarettes. Alcohol cannot be brought into the event. Pets are prohibited. (Exception made for certified service animals.) Weights are required for booth shelters. Each corner of each canopy is required to be weighed down by AT LEAST 25 POUNDS. We recommend sand bags, cinder blocks, or filling 5 gallon buckets. Stakes are not allowed. Unsecured tents are a safety issue and will not be allowed. Unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the event. Unprofessional behavior includes, but is not limited to: inappropriate language and any unkind behavior towards any persons at the fair. This applies to all individuals who stand in for or accompany a vendor. Children are welcome to the fair. Vendors are required to supervise their children and will be held responsible for their children s behavior towards other vendors, fair staff, fair attendees and the property of others. Booths with religious or political affiliations are not admitted. Preaching, political campaigning, and other similar activities on the part of vendors is not allowed. I agree to follow all the rules outlined. Any one member of a business who signs this agreement agrees to hold all representatives of the business responsible to this agreement. If WAW determines, in its sole discretion, any work exhibited by me does not conform to the standards set forth by the rules and policies, I agree to remove such work from the booth space immediately upon request of the staff. Failure to remove such work or otherwise comply with all applicable rules and policies may result in the immediate termination of my participation in the fair, without refund or recourse. I agree that images and artist information may be used by WAW for promotional purposes. I hereby release WAW, its committee and volunteers as well as employees of the City of Rifle and trustees from any and all liability on account of personal injury or property damage caused by theft, fire, public catastrophe, acts of God or any other cause. I agree to indemnify WAW if I suffer any loss or damage on account of any act on their or their agent s part. I agree that WAW, at its sole discretion, may prohibit the conduct of any activity whatsoever which it deems detrimental, violates the rules and policies and/or not in the best interest of the event. Only 3 photos will be presented to the jury, do not send more than 3. You may include 2-4 items in each photo. QUALITY Make sure your images are high quality photos that accurately show the breadth of your work and details of your craftsmanship. Every type of item you wish to sell must be represented in these images. FORMAT Digital images should be in jpeg format with a resolution close to 300 dpi. File size should be around 1MB, should not be pixelated, and should fill the screen without having to zoom in. Send original images (non-web) whenever possible.
