Acts of God Cancellation Neither party should be responsible for any failure of performance due to strikes, labor disputes, accidents, government requisitions, restrictions or regulations on travel, hotel operations, commodities or supplies, acts of war or acts of God, natural disaster, or other declared national emergency that makes performance of this agreement inadvisable and/or illegal and makes it impossible to provide the facility for Japanese Anime Investment Group to hold the event. The agreement may only be terminated for any one or more of the above reasons by written notice from one party to the other. However, there shall not be the right termination for the sole purpose of holding this event at another facility and/or for the sole purpose of booking another event.
3 Dealer Room Booth Layout Booth Cost Booth (10' x 10') shall have a fixed cost: US$ for an inline booth and $ for a corner booth. Each booth will come with 1 table. Additional tables will be available for purchase Thursday if available (Price to be determined). Payment for booth space can be made by online (mizucon.com/exhibitors), by certified bank check, personal check or credit card in US funds to: Mizucon 2016 Dealers Room 115 Hillwood Dr. Falls Church, VA Or payment via Paypal to jaig@verizon.net (All Paypal payment please add 3% to total)
4 Booth Space Space for vendors shall be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. We will try our best to accommodate your location preference; however, we reserve the right within reason to relocate dealers if necessary. Electrical hookups, including phone connections and internet service are available through the M.A.C.C center. Please contact the center at (305) for your requirements. Please note: All dealer displays and product items are to be placed within the boundaries of your booth. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact ( preferred) our Dealer Room Coordinator at dealers@mizucon.com. Dealer Room Security and Protection of Valuables Dealers shall be responsible for their own property, merchandise and money, and under no circumstances will Mizucon and the M.A.C.C. or its personnel will not be liable for loss or damage including, but not limited to: merchandise, equipment, or revenue. Dealer Room Exhibit Hours Access to the exhibit hall will be permitted to attendees during the following hours. The exhibitor or an appointed associate must be present in the booth at all times. DATE SETUP VIP OPENING CLOSING Thursday, Aug 18th 6:00pm-12:00am N/A N/A N/A Friday, Aug 19th 10:00am-12:30pm 12:30pm-1:00pm 1:00pm 8:00pm Saturday, Aug 20th 9:00am-10:30am 10:30am-11:00am 11:00am 8:00pm Sunday, Aug 21st 9:00am-10:30am 10:30am-11:00am 11:00am 6:30pm Dealer Room Setup Before unloading and setting up your merchandise, dealers MUST have a Florida State Tax Vendor Form. It is the responsibility of each vender to pay their own sales tax. The Dealer Room will be cleared of the general membership after closing on Sunday. All times may be subject to change. Dealer Memberships and Badges Two (2) badges will be provided for your first reserved booth and, if applicable, one (1) additional badge per even numbered booth. Additional badges may be purchased for $15 each before August 1, 2016 or $25 on/after August 1, Badges will be available during Dealer Room Setup hours of operation only. Dealer badges must be worn at all times by any person working at a booth. Badges may not be sold, loaned, or otherwise transferred to persons who are not working for you. Dealer Room badges may be shared among employees, but the practice of using one badge shared among multiple employees simultaneously is prohibited and could result in the confiscation of badges. Every individual working your booth(s) must wear a badge at all times. If you are with a production house, animation/comic studio, or other part of the industry and wish to have more badges for your industry (i.e. non-retail) personnel, please contact our Dealer Room Coordinator (dealers@mizucon.com).
5 Mizucon Dealer Room Polices Refund/Cancellation Policy Should dealers find they cannot attend Mizucon 2016, or need to reduce the number of booths purchased, they may cancel booths by contacting the Dealer Room Coordinator to make arrangements. Dealers should also cancel any services they have ordered through the hotel. Adult Materials Policy In recent years, there has been a marked increase in the number of minors and families attending anime conventions, including Mizucon. We ask that dealers, particularly those with adult merchandise, please keep this in mind when setting up. The acceptability of adult displays is at the sole discretion of the Dealer Room coordinator; failure to comply with warnings may result in removal from the Dealer Room, the revocation of dealer status and forfeiture of dealer fees. In addition, all dealers selling adult material must ID purchasers to make sure they are 18 or older. Weapons Sales Policy Attendees are prohibited from carrying items such as swords, knives, daggers (live steel) unless such items have been peace bonded tied Head of Con Security may require items be removed from sale if there is an apparent danger to attendees. Bootleg/Piracy Policy Mizucon does not allow the sale of bootleg merchandise such as burned CD/DVD, music or DVD s without legitimate copyright, etc. Mizucon does not allow the advertising of bootleg or knockoff products/services, and "shuttle" service to other locations for the purchase of such products or services. We have a three warning policy. Consider this your first warning. The Dealers Room Coordinator will make a second warning at the beginning of the show. The third time you will be asked to leave. Failure to comply with the Mizucon Bootleg Policy or a subsequent violation will result in removal from the convention and forfeiture of all dealer fees. Items that MAY be sold at Mizucon 2016 include: Garage Kits/Figurines Dojinshi/Fanzines Fan Art subject to Artist alley rules(in the Art Show) Any and all genuine imported Japanese merchandise. Any and all legitimate American-produced merchandise. Items that may NOT be sold at Mizucon include: "Knockoff" or bootleg merchandise (for example: Ever Anime CDs). Grey Market CDs (re-imports from other Asian countries) Bootleg videotapes, video CDs, or DVDs (this includes bootlegged videos recorded on blank videotapes with printed labels; pirate copies of any titles that have been released commercially in the United States, Japan, or elsewhere; titles taped off the air in Japan and any and all fan-subs). Any posters, idol cards, etc., which read "Kodak," "Fuji," etc. on the back. Unlicensed reproductions or gray market of any products actually released, scheduled for or announced for release by an American company.
