1 Creating an account: From your web browser go to: resources.servicedesignacademy.scot The page shown right will open. Click on the Dundee GovJam2017 link. If you are new to this site, click on the Create new account button. If you are a returning user enter your username and password and click on the Log in button. Complete the New account form.

2 The screen shown right will now display. To confirm your account, please go to your and click on the link send similar to the one shown below. The screen shown right should now appear. Click Enrol me to access the site. The screen shown below will now appear.

3 Registering for a Mozilla Backpack A backpack is a website which allows you to store and manage all your badges, including those which might be awarded from a different organisation. When using Mozilla Backpacks it is recommended that you use Mozilla Firefox or Chrome as your browser. Set up a Mozilla Backpack Go to the following link: Select the Sign Up button. Enter your address and create a password. Select Sign Up. A confirmation will now be sent to your account. Click on the link and complete the form shown right. The screen shown below will now appear.

4 Connect to a Mozilla Backpack Once you have a Mozilla Backpack account you can sync your badges from the Service Design Academy Online Resources site into your Mozilla Backpack. From the Service Design Academy Online Resources site, go to your profile at the top right of the screen and select Preferences. Click on Backpack settings. Sign in with your (the one you used to create your Mozilla Backpack account). Click Connect to backpack. A verification will now be sent. Click on the link shown, similar to the one below. Until this action is completed the screen shown right will show. Once the link has been selected. The screen shown right should appear. Add a Badge to a Mozilla Backpack

5 Once you have a Mozilla Backpack set up and have connected to your backpack through Service Design Academy Online Resources, you can sync your badges as follows: From Service Design Academy Online Resources, click on My profile. Click on the name of the badge issued. In this case Test Badge. Click on Add to backpack. The screen shown right will appear. Click Send. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen that next appears and click Yes. The badge should now be added to your backpack. To view the badge click on Backpack and Log in with your Mozilla Backpack and password. Submitting Evidence for Each Badge

6 To receive a GovJam Open Badge you need to submit either a completed participant GovJam Form along with photographs or a video diary or a reflective account of your choice. More information will be available on the day from the GovJam facilitators. To access the form, click on the link in the Your Reflective Portfolio section of the site. An interactive PDF form will open. Complete this form and save it, as you will need to upload this document as part of your submission. To upload your PDF or to submit any other type of evidence, click on the appropriate badge. Click on the link, then click on Add submission.

7 Click on the icon circled in red or drag and drop the files into the upload box to upload the file. Once you had selected the correct file, click on upload this file. Click on Save changes. You can now either Edit your submission or Submit your assignment. Finally click on Continue to submit your evidence. You should now receive an confirmation to inform your that your submission has been
