1 DPC EDITOR How to use DPC Editor

2 LOG INTO DPC EDITOR The new DPC Editor will allow users to make a DPC card request online and once approved it will auto update. We will no longer use the paper form. Logging In You will log into the application with your VUNET ID and epassword.

3 DPC EDITOR HOME PAGE The next screen is the Home screen that has all the functions available. The Menu Overview is viewable to explain what each menu option means but you cannot click on anything in that view but you have the choice to hide the menu overview by clicking on the plus symbol. My Outstanding Requests will allow you to click on the page and view the request that you added to the DPC editor. You can also make changes to your request from this page. All Outstanding Request will allow you to view any other DPC editor request that has been made. You cannot make any changes to a DPC request that you did not put in. The system will alert you that the request is owned by another user and not changes are allowed.

4 SEARCHING FOR DPC When you click on DPC Look-Up, you will receive multiple options to search for the dpc. Type in the DPC card number, site, surgeon or CPT.

5 If you search by surgeon, you will receive the screen below to start typing in the first few letters of the surgeon s last name SEARCHIING

6 Highlight the surgeon s name and then click and then double click on the black check mark. SEARCHING

7 Once you double click on the check mark, you come back to this screen that has your surgeon s full name listed. You will then click on Search to bring up the DPC page for this surgeon. SEARCHING

8 You will receive all the DPC cards for this surgeon. The page has a limit of 25 cards per page and at the bottom of page, you may click on the next page number to view more cards. The user can sort the DPC Type column by clicking on top of the column and you will have all of the Proc together and all SPRG s together. To view and or edit a card, click on the icon of the page. DPC CARDS

9 EDIT OR DELETE ITEM When a user clicks on a card it will bring up the following page that gives you information at the top with a request number and who requested a change along with other information. You have the option to edit an item or delete the item. You will also have different tabs for Resources, Memos and Approvals, Inventory, Instruments and Equipment

10 To add an item, at the bottom of screen click on Add Items. Toggle Items View will give you a clean view of how the card will look without the deleted items and any item that was edited. When you add an item in any tab, the item will be green in color and in the action column, it will say add. ADD ITEMS

11 ACTIONS AND COLORS When you need to delete an item in any tab, the item will turn red and in the action column it will say delete. When adding an item it will turn the color green

12 MEMO ADDING A MEMO MEMO PAGE AND COPY MEMO Memo tab- Anytime you add an item you may want to add a memo and you will just click on the memo tab and then type in the bottom section of the page. When typing a Memo, make sure you click on Save Changes. Copy Memo will allow you to copy an existing memo to the replace with memo edit area. Delete Memo will allow the user to delete or undelete the memo added in the replacement area. It will also show the requester and approver when a memo is deleted. The Toggle Memo View will allow the user to expand the memo area especially if there are long memos that you where you would like to see all of it without scrolling.

13 This is where if you are requesting a change you will need to go to submit that change. If you are the Approver you will also go to this tab to approve or deny the change. APPROVAL TAB

14 If the request is a global change request click the option for global change and if that card is approved, it will approve only that card and then the request will go to Elaine Lehue for the global change fix. Any comments to the approver will be added in this space. If approved or denied, any comments will be added in this space. The user can continue to edit this DPC card request until it has been approved. Once approved and the user wants to edit, they will need to submit a new request. When finished with request, the user must click on Submit Request. To cancel the request, click on Cancel Request. If you are the approver, you will see the last two tabs and the requestor will only see the first two tabs. If the approver is to approve the request, they must click on the Approve Request tab. If it is denied, the approver will click on the Deny Request tab. APPROVALS

15 REQUEST LOOK UP Request Look up will allow you to look up any DPC card request by card number, request number, service or site. If you want to look at all the global change request, then the user will click in the box for global change request. If you want to view the entire approved and denied request, you will click the radio button for that request.

16 Note: If you try to edit a request that has been approved, you will receive a message stating you cannot make those changes. MESSAGE

17 LOG OUT OF DPC To log out of the DPC application, please sure to click on the Logout option and then you can close the screen out by the x in the upper right side.
