1 Date of Issuance: November 2007 UPDATE: End of Sale and End of Manufacturer Support Notification for Avaya CS7000 Audio Conference Bridge This notice updates the original End of Sale notice issued February Please note the following important changes: - The migration offer is being extended until 31 st December The new migration materials listed in this notice MUST be used for all migration orders. - The migration materials defined in the previous end of sale notice will not be available after 31 st December Meeting Exchange Enterprise and Service Provider Edition R5.0 supports 2000 ports on a single server; the available migration options have been adjusted to reflect this capability. Review: End of Sale Summary On April 1 st 2007 Avaya announced that it would no longer make new CS7000 systems available for sale. This notice applied worldwide and extended an earlier EOS notice issued in July 2006 due to RoHS requirements. Sales of Hardware expansions and Software upgrades will be supported for a period of two years after the worldwide end of sale announcement, thus sales of all CS7000 components will cease on December 31 st Avaya will continue to provide Support according to the Avaya Manufacturer Support Policy for the CS7000 until December 31 st This represents the minimum period of support all CS7000 platforms from Avaya Global Services. Update: Offer Strategy CS7000 customers can take advantage of a number of different migration scenarios, each of which offers investment protection and the opportunity to migrate to the industryleading Meeting Exchange platform. The migration options include a special software license carry over element for investment protection.

2 1. Software License Carry Over for Investment Protection a. Until December 31 st 2008 licenses can be carried over at 50% off the current list price. The existing agreed upon discount structure can be applied in addition to this special offer. b. Additional licenses for capacity increases are priced at the current list price. 2. Opportunity to migrate to the industry-leading Meeting Exchange Platform a. Industry-proven software solution sold for last 20 years to Service Providers and Enterprises b. Based on Next generation hardware platforms, scalable from 24 to18,000 ports c. Web Conferencing Integration with Lotus Sametime, Adobe Breeze, and Live Meeting/LCS d. Support a Services Oriented Architecture Framework to deliver richer capabilities and embed conferencing into business applications and business processes e. Support for SIP, TDM, and Mixed Technology Environments f. Industry-leading set of conferencing management, administrative, and management applications & end user features g. Rich set of APIs 3. New Hardware platforms are sold at current list price a. The new generation Hardware platforms (application and media servers) in the Meeting Exchange portfolio are based on industry standard thirdparty platforms that achieve high levels of scalability, redundancy, and reliability. The following options can be considered: 1. Remain on Existing CS7000 Platform and Expand a. Capacity Increases supported December 31 st 2008 b. Support provided until December 31 st Run existing CS7000 system in parallel with the S6200 or S6800 replacement a. Discounted License carry-over for Investment Protection. The discounted license carry over pricing applies to the number of RTUs (ports) currently enabled on the existing system. Any ports on the new systems in excess of this will be priced at the current list price e.g. if the existing system has 192 ports and you are migrating to a new system with 300 ports, the first 192 ports are priced at the discounted migration offer, the excess 108 ports are priced at the current list. b. Systems can be run in parallel for a period of 60 days after which time the existing CS7000 system must be decommissioned. 3. Replace CS7000 system with one of the migration offers defined below

3 a. Discounted License carry-over for Investment protection. The discount for the license carry over applies to the number of RTUs (ports) currently enabled on the system being replaced. Any ports on the new systems in excess of this will be priced at the current list price. Maintenance pricing for legacy solutions is subject to periodic increase, making a migration to the new platforms a more cost effective long-term decision. Update: Migration Offer for Systems up to 2000 ports For a pure VoIP solution, the CS7000 can be replaced with Meeting Exchange Enterprise or Service Provider Edition Release 5.0 on a S6200 platform. In this deployment, the S6200 acts as a conference application server and software media server and is capable of handling up to 2000 ports of conferencing. The 2000 port capacity assumes out-of-band network 1 configuration If a TDM configuration or a combined VoIP/TDM configuration is required, the resulting equipment configuration is dependent on the number of TDM ports requested. TDM configurations up to 2000 ports (E1, T1, ISDN, or T3) are supported via external media gateways. Update: Migration Offer for Large Enterprises and Service Providers over 2000 ports For a pure VoIP solution above 2000 ports, the CS7000 can be replaced with Meeting Exchange Enterprise or Service Provider edition running on the S6800 platform. This solution is a combination of one or more S6200 Conference Application server(s) and the S6800 VoIP Media Server. This solution is particularly suited to very large deployments up to ports. If a combination of TDM and VoIP is required at these larger port configurations, multiple external media gateways may be required, a high density media gateway with T3 capacity is available. Redundancy Several different redundancy and Disaster Recovery options are available to avoid the potential for service-suspension in the event of hardware, software, network, or site fault occurrence. Redundancy is available for the S6200, S6800 application servers and media servers, as well as for CRS and TDM gateways. 1 In an out of band DTMF network, DTMF codes are sent in a separate data stream.
