3 Junos Pulse on Mobile Release 2.0 Interoperability and Supported Platforms Please refer to the Junos Pulse Supported Platforms document for supported operating systems in this release: Junos Pulse Client Availability Junos Pulse for Apple ios Devices is available for download from the itunes App Store. Junos Pulse for BlackBerry devices is available for download from BlackBerry App World. Junos Pulse for Google Android devices is available for download from Android Market. Issues fixed in this release: Apple ios Authentication will not work if the configured Custom Sign-In URL contains a hostname such as The workaround is to replace hostname with wildcard (*) such as */iphone. (546909) User may encounter an error when editing an existing configuration. The workaround is to delete the existing configuration and recreate it again. (534492) Junos Pulse sometimes fails to launch from the ios 4 list of recent apps. This is an Apple bug. (529534) List of known issues: Generic Issues If you participated in the beta program, please delete the device registered during beta1 from Security Suite Gateway management console and then register the device again. We recommend that you do not use this release of Junos Pulse to connect to an R-7.1 beta SA Series Appliance. In order to ensure that the button is available on Junos Pulse after a user connects to an SA Series Appliance, you must create a bookmark named mobile webmail for the user role. Please note that this is case insensitive. (8) The Cancel button in the warning screen does nothing. This issue affects all devices. (14, 31) Security Suite Console Please refer to the Junos Pulse Mobile Security Gateway 2.0 release notes. Android Beta users should manually uninstall the beta version of Junos Pulse before installing Junos Pulse from the Android Market. Clicking NO on the security policy message while registering does nothing. (15) The Cancel button on the intermediate pages (Certificate, SSO, and Authentication) for Rewriter does not function. 4 Clicking on Cancel does not stop a webpage from loading inside Junos Pulse. Clicking on the Back button returns you to the Junos Pulse home screen. (45) When the antivirus feature is disabled and then enabled again on the Pulse Mobile Security Suite Gateway management console, the antivirus feature remains disabled on Junos Pulse until the client is uninstalled and reinstalled. (48) If a session times out, Junos Pulse does not show the disconnected status automatically until a button is clicked. (548665, 52) If Rewriter floating tool bar is enabled on SA, the user will see the Rewriter floating tool bar on Junos Pulse rewriter pages. The tool bar should be hidden. (549852, 85) Send logs using message service does not work. Junos Pulse displays a message Unable to attach the file. (118) When a device is registered from Korea, the send SMS command from the management console does not work. (151) If the Android device is not able to detect the phone number of the SIM card, Juno Pulse is not able to automatically populate the phone number field when registering the Security feature. (217) If no SD card is present on the Android device, Junos Pulse is not able to Send Log files as attachment. (222) When an enterprise user who has established a valid address on the Pulse Mobile Security Suite Gateway management console clicks on Backup, an unnecessary with a backup token is sent to the user s address. (231) If the device is not able to detect the phone number of the SIM card, manually entering a phone number during Security feature registration does not update the MSISDN field on the Pulse Mobile Security Suite Gateway management console. (232) When entering a connection URL, use http or https. The connection fails if you mix cases in http or https. (272) After a registered device is deleted from the Security Suite Gateway console, clicking on Security and then clicking on Virus Definitions, you would see an error message Update failed. Error encountered: Handset not found error. When clicking on Virus Definition again, you would see a message The security features of your handset are no longer registered, and the Junos Pulse app is stuck on the Please wait page. To get around this issue, you need to exit Junos Pulse, relaunch it, and then click on Security to be redirected to the registration page.(283) BlackBerry When switching back and forth between English and Spanish without uninstalling Junos Pulse, sometimes random strings appear in the previous language, as if the values were cached and not Copyright 2010, Juniper Networks, Inc. 4

5 reloaded on the switchover. For example, you might see about 5% of the strings in English and 95% in Spanish. Rebooting resolves the issue. When viewing the AV scanning screen in portrait mode in Spanish, a label extends too wide because of the text length and the number of files scanned wraps around multiple lines. For example, 213 displays as: This issue is not present in landscape view. Apple ios RSA Adaptive Authentication is not supported. (529077) A user launching Junos Pulse will not receive warning message if another session exists. In the case where multiple user session support is disabled or when multiple user session support is enabled but the limit has been reached, Junos Pulse will terminate the oldest session without a warning message. (535325, ) Under Settings->VPN->Status, the connected to value is incorrect. This is an Apple bug. (531069) After an iphone wakes up from sleep, a previously established VPN connection might not be successfully re-established and you might also lose Wi-Fi connectivity. The workaround is to wait for some time and re-establish the VPN session, and then disconnect VPN session. This is an Apple bug. (534113) When split tunneling is enabled, users connecting to an SA over 3G will not be able to access noncorporate intranet resources. Users connecting to an SA over Wi-Fi will not see this issue. We recommend that you do not enable split tunneling if the user uses 3G and Wi-Fi. This is an Apple bug. (535904) Junos Pulse does not display an error message when there is an issue with VPN session connecting to SA. (565446) When entering a connection URL, use http or https.
