There are three room-drawing methods: Rectangular Room, Room by Size, and Freedraw (to draw rooms of any shape).

2.1.1 Add a Rectangular Room Select Rectangular Room, then tap and drag your finger on the drawing area to draw a rectangular shape to your desired dimensions. Lift finger from screen to complete room. If your Pop Up Room Label Entry setting option is turned on, then M2 will display the Room Details menu each time you finish drawing a room. In this window you can choose to change the room name/label and then hit Done on the top right to complete. If you don t want to see this pop up window appear each time you draw a room, then simply turn the Pop up Room Label Entry setting option off. To resize, tap on the room to view the Room Details window, tap Resize, and then select Resize by Drag. Use green middle or corner handles to adjust wall sizes or angles, and then tap the check icon on the top left to finish Add a Room by Size Select Room by Size, then enter your desired dimensions for the room s width and length. You can also customize the room name by editing the label. Hit Done to complete the room.

2.1.3 Add Room by Freedraw Use Freedraw to draw non-rectangular rooms. When entering freedraw mode, a panel of new icons appear on the bottom menu to facilitate the free-drawing process. Tap on the screen to pick a starting point, and then slide your finger in the direction you want your first wall to go. You can either stop when the wall reaches your desired length, or use the size entry panel to enter a value and then hit Apply. Continue this process for each wall of the room. Undo/ Redo: If you make a mistake, then press Undo to cancel it. To repeat the last operation, press Redo. Use the check icon at upper left to auto-close the shape and exit freedraw mode. Command list on bottom menu in Freedraw mode: Connect to Disto: Connect to Disto laser meter to measure. First make sure Bluetooth is turned on for both your Android device and your disto. Tap on disto icon in M2 and then select your disto name from the Devices list. (If you don t see your disto listed there at first, tap Scan)

Size Entry Panel: Enter dimensions manually and previously-drawn wall will be resized to the length you typed when you press Apply. The Size Entry Panel accepts numbers with decimal points such as 8.5 (it will yield a wall length of 8 6 ). You can also type wall lengths in the format of 8 6. Switch Starting Point: Switch the purple starting point to the other end of the room.

Triangulation: To draw an unknown angled wall, drag finger to desired wall dimension. Then turn Triangulation on. Open size entry panel and enter measurement from the purple starting point to the bold large blue point. M2 will adjust measurement (shown above orange dashed lines) and calculate the angle between last two walls based on measurement entered. You can change the second point by tapping on another bold large gray point to select it. Alignment Options: Ability to turn assistance feature on or off by checking or unchecking them. Auto close shape will close a shape when you bring a wall close to your starting point. Snap to room side will help you align walls based on existing room walls. Snap to closed room corner will help you align corners based on previously-drawn rooms. By default, M2 only allows you to toggle the line/wall between 45 and 90 degrees. If the Snap to 45 or 90 degree angle option is unchecked and turned off, then you can swing a wall/line to any degree. Subtraction: To find the difference between two measurements while drawing walls with the Disto, capture the longer measurement first, tap on the subtraction icon, and

then capture the shorter measurement next. M2 will then calculate the difference between the two measurements and make that your wall length. Shortcut Tips: When you draw two lines with a right angle, you can auto-close the shape by selecting the check icon to complete the rectangular room. To figure out one odd angle, draw all other walls first, leave angled wall for last measurement and select the and M2 will compute angles Onsite Measure with Disto (E7500i/E7100i model) Requirements: Leica Disto E7500i/E7100i, Android 5 or up and supports Bluetooth Smart 4.0 To pair initially, from the Android home screen, choose Settings -> Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth. Make sure your Disto is powered on with Bluetooth turned on. In Freedraw mode of the M2 app, tap icon on the bottom toolbar to connect to your Disto. A window will appear as M2 connects to the Disto, and then you will be brought back to the Freedraw screen when the connection has been established. Now every measurement captured on your Disto is transferred to M2 app while in Freedraw mode. Once your Disto is connected to your M2 app, you can begin drawing rooms using the Disto: Tap and slide to point a wall/line in your desired direction, and then capture the actual wall length measurement with the Disto. The Disto measurement will be transferred to the previously-drawn wall/line. Continue to tap and slide to the next wall with a direction and measure with Disto to capture actual wall length. Repeat the process for all remaining walls. Use Undo/Redo for any mistakes

System Settings is for configuring program behavior for all projects. Use System Settings to set measurement system and size format, set default drawing and pop-up window settings, and create and manage multiple product catalogs.

Carpet & Vinyl Layout Settings: Margin: options to add cut margin along length ( Length Margin ), width ( Width Margin, both sides ( Both Margin ), or none ( None ). Roll Cut Option: option to group cuts from the same floor/layer to one roll cut on cut sheet. Choose between options of None or Roll cut by layer. Speed Option: options to minimize time to compute the layout of carpet/vinyl ( Quick layout ), optimize the waste ( Optimized waste % ), or balance between the waste and the computing time ( Balanced ). Cut Margin: customize cut margin, which is the cut or trim margin to add to each cut or fill piece. It is set to 3 by default. (Choose to apply to length margin, width margin, or both margins through the Margin option above) Max T-seam Count: customize maximum number of T-seams allowed in one room. It is set to 2 by default. Round up to Pattern Size: if this feature is turned on, then the program will round up to the carpet pattern size. If this feature is turned off, then the Pattern Match Width Factor and Pattern Match Length Factor features will be accessible. Users can customize the pattern match width and length factors.

Advanced Settings: Users can also customize maximum roll cut length, minimum reuse length, roll cut round up, linear length round up, or stretch rate. When Max Roll Cut Length is set to 0, it means that it uses its roll length as maximum cut length. Users can change this value by tapping on the number and entering a new value (i.e. 30 in the example above) in the text field window that appears. Min Reuse Length controls if an end of roll will be used as a cut, and then packs rest of cuts and shifts forward. Roll Cut Round Up can be set to control how much to round up a roll cut length. Linear Length Round Up can be set to control how much to round up the linear length of an entire row in the roll cut sheet. Stretch Rate is the percentage a carpet can be stretched if heated, and is 1% by default. This setting applies to carpet products only and does not apply for vinyl products. Font Settings: You can also adjust the text style on the diagram via Font Settings in the System Settings menu. You can customize the font, size, and color of room labels and room dimensions via Label Style and Dimension Style, respectively.

9 Product Database Setup 9.1 Create New Products Tap on icon on the bottom panel and select Products. The products catalog with all existing products will appear. Tap on the + icon on the top right corner to add a new product. You will be brought into the Create Product screen. When creating a new product, make sure to put a unique product SKU Item Name, and then tap on Type to select the appropriate product type from the pop up window that appears. (In the example below, we chose Carpet Roll as our product type) Customize any other properties to your liking, including: trade, unit, sales price, cost price, taxable (toggle on or off), display color, texture (select image from photo gallery), description, and vendor and manufacturer information. As you scroll down the Create Product screen, you can also customize Sell by Roll (toggle on or off to access roll sales and cost price), associate add-on(s) to the product, and set the width, roll length, horizontal and vertical repeat, and horizontal and vertical drop.

Touch the fields to view popup window and configure the key parameters such as: width of carpet/vinyl (pattern repeats of carpet), width and length of tile, sales and cost price, and so forth. To sell the product by container such as by box, switch on Sell by Roll option, select Box from the Sell by option that appears, and then set up the parameters below: Unit/Box (quantity of unit per container): quantity per container unit, Box Sales Price: sales price by container, Box Cost Price: cost price by container. 9.2 Create & Associate Add-Ons Add-on items are installation products or sundries that are used to help install main floor covering materials such as carpet pad, floor prep, and underlayment.

To create an add-on product, tap on the ADD-ON tab on the top of the products catalog screen, and you will see a list of all existing add-on products in your database. Tap on the + icon on the top right to create a new add-on. You will be brought to the Create Add-on screen where you can customize the product properties. Hit Done when finished. The program allows user to associate add-on items with a product. To specify an add-on item, tap on icon -> select Products -> tap on the icon to the right of the product you want to associate the add-on to -> select Edit. The Edit Product screen will appear. Scroll down, tap on Add-on, and then tap on the + icon on the top right of the Add-Ons screen and select an add-on product you wish to associate with this product. In the product database, products with addon(s) associated to it will have the number of add-ons in parentheses after the product name. In the example above, if we select a carpet pad as an add-on for the carpet product, then whenever this carpet is applied to any room, the carpet pad add-on is automatically applied to the room as well. 9.3 Edit a Product To edit an existing product in the database, tap on the icon to the right of the product name to view the drop-down menu and select Edit. You will then be brought to the Edit Product screen where you can adjust any of the product properties. Hit Done when finished.

9.4 Duplicate a Product To duplicate a product, tap on the icon to the right of the product name to view the drop-down menu and select Duplicate. The program will create an exact copy of that product, including any add-ons that are associated to it 9.5 Add a Product to Favorites To add a product to the Favorites list, tap on the icon to the right of the product name to view the drop-down menu and select Add to Favorite. Now, when you tap on the FAVORITES tab on the top of the screen, you will see a list of all products that you have marked as a favorite.

9.6 Delete a Product To delete a product from the database, tap on the icon to the right of the product name to view the drop-down menu and select Delete. The program will ask once if you re sure you want to delete the product; tap yes to confirm and the item will be removed from the product database. 9.7 Search for Products in Database If the database grows larger along the way, then using the Search function on the top will help speed up the estimation process. To search the product database for a specific product, tap in the Search for Product bar on the top and type in the keyword. The program will list all the products with that keyword in its product name.

9.8 Create & Maintain Multiple Product Databases Different regions may have different pricing for the same product. MeasureSquare supports multiple product databases that can address this situation. To add/create a new database: tap icon on the bottom panel and select Settings to open Project Settings -> tap System Settings -> scroll down and tap Product Catalogs. Tap on the + icon on the bottom right to create a new product catalog.

To rename an existing database: tap on the icon to the right of the database name -> select Rename -> enter new name and then hit OK. To share a database: tap on the icon to the right of the database name -> select Share -> choose an application such as to share the product database. To delete a database: tap on the icon to the right of the database name -> select Delete - > the database will be deleted immediately. To switch between databases: open product database and tap on the current product database name displaying at the top of the screen. A Product Catalog window will pop up displaying a list of all available databases. Tap on desired database to select it and hit Done to switch to show that database in the product catalog screen. To sync product databases to the Cloud: tap on the Sync icon on the top right and the databases will be synced to the M2 Cloud.
