3 PreDesigned Moulding Stacks Step : In Drag and Drop, Click Through: Mouldings, Top Mouldings (or Bottom Mouldings for light rail), Stacked Mouldings, Select the desired Stack. Step : Highlight the chosen Stack. Step : Drag the stack and drop it on a Wall Cabinet. Step : Select which wall cabinet you want to place the stack on from the menu provided.

Step : Highlight the chosen Stack. Step : Right Click on the desired Stack. Step : Select SPECS from the menu provided. Step 5: When the screen appears with the instructions, press PRINT at the top to print. 5

5 Placing PreDesigned Hearth Hood Kits Placing Hearth Kits from Drag and Drop: Step : Double Click on Walls. Step : Double Click on Range Hoods. Step : Double Click on Hearth Hood Kits (choose height option). Step : Double Click on Hearth Kit (choose desired width). Step 5: Drag and Drop the Hearth Kit into the design. Step 6: The Ask Attachment screen will pop up and allow you to choose any desired attachments, when complete, click Place

6 PreDesigned Islands Step : In Drag and Drop select BASE.. Step : Select OPEN and SPECIALTY. Step : Select ISLANDS. Step : Click on island choice. Step 5: Drag desired island to floor plan. 5 6

7 Attaching PreDesigned Split Turnings Step : Right Click on desired cabinet. Step : Select ATTRIBUTES. Step : Open the ATTACHMENTS tab. Step : Click on ADD. Step 5: Select EXTERNAL ITEMS. Step 6: Select Split Turning Kits. Step 7: Select desired style/finish. Step 8: Click on PLACE

Step 5: Drag onto wall/floor plan. Step 6: Create desired width by dragging from left to right. To View Spec Information: Step A: Right click on kit in drag and drop. Step B: Select SPECS. 10 Attaching Decorative Inserts Step : Highlight the wall cabinet that you wish to add a decorative (Art glass, Textured glass, or panel insert) insert to. Step : Type the nomenclature of the chosen insert into the quick search box. Step : Double click on the appropriate size range to fit your chosen cabinet and it will attach itself to the highlighted cabinet. Step : To view, simply create a rendering of your design and your insert graphics will appear. 0

11 Attaching Matching Interior Step : Type OS into the QuickSearch box. Step : Highlight the OS option in the Drag and Drop menu. Step : Drag it onto the wall cabinet. -or- Step : Highlight the wall cabinet you want to add matching interior to, and double click the first OS option.

12 Drag and Drop Menu: Attaching Modifications Step : Type the Modification Code into the Quick Search Box (located below Drag and Drop). Step : Highlight the correct modification. Step : Drag the modification over the desired cabinet and release the mouse. Step : Right Click on the cabinet to make sure the modification took. Step 5: Type in any modification code in the Quick Search Box to add to cabinets on your floor plan. REMEMBER: You must familiarize yourself with all nomenclature to use the Quick Search features and your speed will be greatly increased!

19 Placing Panels: Back of an Island Step : Double Click through Base, Panels, Back Panels (Wood), Cross Grain Veneer Back Panel (BP96.5CRSGR for standard height; 968 for raised bars OR V-Groove (BP8.5VG for standard height; 896 for raised bars). RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH GLAZE FINISHES. Step : Drag the selected panel over the desired wall and release the mouse. Step : Left click again on the LEFT SIDE of the placement zone (left as you stand facing it) and release. Step : Drag the cursor along the length of the wall to size the panel. Step 5: Left click again to finish. (Dragging right to left will leave the panel too short). 5 9

20 Placing Decorative Doors: Back of an Island Step : Double Click through Base, Panels, Door Only for Back Panel. Step : Highlight the correct doors size. Step : Drag and Drop the door onto the back panel. ALWAYS PLACE DOORS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. Step : Use this method to place additional doors if necessary. 0

21 Placing Decorative Doors: Sides of Cabinets Step : Double Click through Base, Panels, Decorative Door End Panel Kits (includes ¼ skins, decorative doors and mounting screws). For Wall: Wall, Panels, Decorative Door End Panel Kits For Tall: Tall, Panels, Decorative Door End Panel Kits Step : Highlight the door that fits the placement (right/left side of the cabinet) and size required. Step : Drag and Drop the Decorative Door Kits onto the side of the cabinet. WED TED BED

22 Placing Authentic Ends Step : Right Click on the cabinet that you wish to upgrade to AE. Step : Select Attributes from the menu. Step : Click on the ATTACHEMENTS tab. Step : Click on ADD. Step 5: Click on Construction Modifications. Step 6: Click on Authentic Ends. Step 7: Select right or left side. Step 8: Click on APPLY

23 Placing Appliance Panels Step : Remove all appliances that are going to be receiving decorative panels. Step : Refrigerators: Click through: Tall, Panels, Refrigerator Door Panels, Selected Option, located correct size and configuration. Dishwashers: Click through: Base, Panels, Dishwasher Door Panels, Selected Option Step : Drag and Drop the APP Panel into the spot where the appliance should be. Step : If necessary, right click on the APP Panel and go into the attributes to modify the size so it will fit into the allotted space. Step 5: Create the rendering to show the customer the Custom Appliance Panels. REMEMBER: These will not price out correctly and are only for rendering purposes. Step 6: DELETE unnecessary panels. Step 7: Order all Appliance Panels as ACCESSORIES. NOTE: THIS TIP IS FOR RENDERING PURPOSES ONLY. DELETE THESE ITEMS BEFORE CLOSING SALE. 5

24 Ordering & Pricing Appliance Panels Step : Fill out the correct APP form in the Thomasville Specifications Guide. Step : Open Accessories and Extra Costs. Step : Click through: Accessories, Appliance Panels, Selected appliance type and Option#. Step : Drag and Drop the APP Panel into the Accessories and Extra Costs worksheet. Step 5: In the Quantity Box, type in the number of Square Feet calculated on the APP Form. Step 6: Set Door Styles and Pricing. 5 NOTE: THIS TIP IS FOR PRICING PURPOSES ONLY AND WILL NOT SHOW UP GRAPHICALLY.

25 Printing Appliance Panels Forms Step : In Drag and Drop, select TALL. Step : Select PANELS. Step : Select REFIRGERATOR DOOR PANELS. Step : Select desired OPTION # (-). Step 5: Right Click on appropriate configuration or model. Step 6: Select SPECS. Step 7: Select PRINT

26 Using Horizontal Fillers with Decorative Overlays: As a Valance Step : Open up an Elevation View of the wall where the Horizontal Filler will be placed. Step : Click Through: Walls, Valance, Horizontal Fillers. Step : From Drag and Drop, drag the filler to the first cabinet that it will attach to (ALWAYS WORK LEFT TO RIGHT). Step : Left Click to Place the filler against the cabinet. Step 5: In Ask Attachment pop up menu, select desired overlay, and click PLACE. Step 6: Size the filler width by dragging it to the second cabinet that it will stretch towards. Step 7: Left Click to Place the filler

27 Using Horizontal Fillers: As Moulding Step : Open up an Elevation View of the design. Step : Click Through: Mouldings, Top Mouldings, Find the filler that you need (ex. TF696FH). Step : From Drag and Drop, drag the filler to the top of your wall cabinets. Step : Stack additional mouldings on top of filler if desired. 7

28 Placing 5 o Fillers Step : In the Drag & Drop Menu, Click Through: Base Corner, 5 o Fillers. Step : Select the appropriate XF0 (Use the first XF0 if there are no adjacent cabinets, use the second XF0 if the adjacent cabinets are already in place). Step : From Drag and Drop, drag the filler to the 5 o angle. 8

30 Switching Suppliers Automatically Switch Items: Step : Open the current design that you wish to price in another vendor. Step : Click on EDIT and select SWITCH ITEMS. Step : Select the catalog that the design was built with. Step : Select the catalog that you wish to switch to. Step 5: Click the AUTOMATIC button. Step 6: Click OK in the box that warns you not all items were able to switch. 6 NOTE: Always remember to delete catalog settings (doorstyle, finish, etc), appliances & mouldings prior to switching catalogs. 5 0

31 Switching Suppliers Manually Switch Items: Step : Highlight an item from the Currently Used column. Step : Find the equal item on the Available Catalog column. Step : Click the MANUAL button. Step : Repeat steps - until all items have been switched over to the new supplier. Step 5: Click the APPLY and OK buttons. Step 6: Select Catalog Options: Door, Wood, Finish, Upgrades 5 6

32 Drag and Drop Menu: Placing Cabinets Step : Highlight the cabinet to the left of the one you are about to place. Step : Locate the next cabinet in the Drag and Drop menu. Step : DOUBLE CLICK on the new cabinet to place it to the right of the highlighted cabinet. Step : Place additional cabinets as detailed in step. REMEMBER: 00 naturally wants to place items in the floor plan from left to right. Items are placed to the right of any highlighted cabinet as long there is sufficient space remaining and you are not turning a corner. If it doesn t work it usually means you re double clicking on a category, not a cabinet.

33 Drag and Drop Menu: Replace Feature Step : Highlight the cabinet you wish to replace by left clicking on it-it will be surrounded by a blue dotted line when highlighted. Step : Go to the Drag and Drop menu and locate the cabinet you wish to replace the old one with. Step : RIGHT click on the new cabinet nomenclature in Drag and Drop. Step : Select Replace from the menu options. Step 5: The new cabinet will take the place of the old one in your design. REMEMBER: Replace will NOT work if there is insufficient space to the right of the existing cabinet for its replacement and will NOT turn corners. If you need to replace multiple cabinets at one time, select the first one, then hold down CONTROL and select the others. Then follow steps -5. 5

34 Showing the Sink Base Code Step : Right click the open Grid Area. Step : Select Display Settings. Step : Highlight Attachments (Sinks ). Step : Change the Fill to Transparent. Step 5: Apply the Change & choose OK.

35 Placing Base Board Moulding: On a Wall Step : Double Click through Moulding, Other Moulding, Wall Moulding, BBM8. Step : Drag the BBM8 over the desired wall and release the mouse. Step : Right Click on the BBM8 and select Up/Down from the menu options. Step : Lower the moulding to 0 off the ground for Base Boards or x off the ground for wall moulding. Step 5: Right Click on the BBM8 and select Edit Shape from the menu options and remove any unnecessary BBM8 (it will often line the wall behind cabinets). 5 5

36 Placing Vaulted Ceilings Step : Open up the ROOM catalog in the Drag and Drop Menu. Step : Click through: Decorative Items, Wall/Ceiling, and select a wall (most common is TC.Wall/Ceiling). Step : Left click and drag the TC.Wall/Ceiling to the placement zone of the wall with the angled ceiling. Step : Left click near the wall to set the TC.Wall/Ceiling. Step 5: Use your mouse to slightly extend the width of the TC.Wall/Ceiling (see below) and left click to place. Step 6: Right Click on the TC.Wall/Ceiling and select Drag from the menu options. Step 7: Drag the wall as far left to the end of the wall as possible

37 Placing Vaulted Ceilings Step 8: Right Click on the TC.Wall/Ceiling and select Resize Width from the menu options. Step 9: Drag the wall as far right to the end of the wall as possible. Step 0: Right Click on the TC.Wall/Ceiling and select Attributes from the menu options. Step : In the Dimensions tab change Depth () to the width of the room plus the thickness of the wall so the TC.Wall/Ceiling covers the entire room. Step : In the Dimensions tab change Width () to reflect the highest point in the ceiling: When looking at the wall, if your low end is to the right: set the Width () measurement to 0. If the low end of the wall is on the left side make the dimension in Width () the same as the TC-Wall/Ceiling). Step : Click Apply OK

40 Creating Collinear Walls Step : Draw in Wall and set the length (ALWAYS use the Edit box to type in dimensions). Step : Draw in Wall and set the length. Step : Draw in Wall, set the length and set the angle at 80. Step : Draw in Wall, set the length and set the angle at 80. Step 5: Continue drawing remaining walls. Step 6: Hit ECS when all walls are in place to set the walls. Step 7: Right click on a wall and select Properties from the menu. Step 8: Highlight the wall that is to be a different height than the surrounding walls. Step 9: Set that wall at desired height. Step 0: Click APPLY and OK

41 Setting Cabinets at a 5 0 Angle Step : From the Drag and Drop Menu, drag the desired cabinet into the corner space. Step : Release the cabinet when you see the double horseshoe magnet. Step : In the Edit box, type in 0 for the OUT dimension. Step : Hit ENTER on your keyboard. Step 5: Continue placing adjacent cabinets. 5

42 Editing C-Tops Around Wall Jogs Step : Open Design, Countertops and Trims Menu. Step : Place a checkmark by Countertops, select the Square Foot Top and click on DESIGN. Step : Right Click on the countertop and select EDIT SHAPE from the menu. Step : Right click on the countertop to the right of the wall jog. Step 5: Select EXTRUDE from the menu. Step 6: Drag the extrusion the length and the width that will allow the countertop to surround the chase and not intersect it. 6 5

43 Editing C-Tops Around Wall Jogs Step 7: While in EDIT SHAPE mode, right click on the point between each base cabinet adjacent to the corner cabinet and delete the points. Step 8: Add a point to the countertop in center of the B6 in the corner (THIS IS USED AS A REFERENCE POINT). Step 9: Drag the new point into the corner of the walls. Step 0: Delete the points adjacent to the corner point. Step : Click on the green checkmark to save the changes

45 Placing, Saving and Using Notes Adding Notes. Select Notes from the Task Bar at the top of the screen.. Left click on Add Notes. A text box will appear with your cursor as you drag it over the grid.. Position the text box on the floor plan. Left click.. Type the note in the Add/Edit Note text box. 5. Touch the Tab key and the Tag Number is activated. The Tag Number references the note. 6. Click on OK. The note appears on the floor plan. Saving Notes. Follow steps - from above. Click on Save.. Name your file and click on Save. The note saves to My Documents KIT folder and has a.txt suffix.. Click OK on the Add/Edit Note screen. Editing Notes The note can be edited by right clicking on the actual note on the floor plan. Retrieving Saved Notes. Select Notes from the task bar and click on Add Note.. Place the text box on the floor plan.. Click on Open to access the saved notes.. Double click the note you need and click on Open. 5. Click OK in the Add/Edit note box. This will place the note on the floor plan. Drawing Reference Lines. Click Notes on the menu bar and choose a Add Line.. On the floor plan, left click near the note and move the mouse to the respective item.. Left click twice to set. Note: Tag numbers allow designers to provide specific information. Adding lines allows designers to identify specific parts, unique options, etc. Add Tag: Allows an additional tag to place if a tag number has already been assigned. Move: Allows the note to be placed vertically or on an angle. Rotate: Allows the note to be placed vertically or on an angle. Delete Notes & Tag(s): Will delete off the floor plan only. Edit: Takes you to the Add/Edit Notes screen so the note can be modified. 5

47 Creating Island Files Copy and Paste Islands Between Files: Step : Choose the Select Region Icon. Step : Draw a Box around the desired Island. Step : Right click the Island and choose copy. Step : Open the file in which the island will be placed. Step 5: Choose Edit and Paste. Step 6: Move your cursor to the desired location and left click to drop the island. Create multiple islands in a common Island File. It will assist with Time Management. Use islands found in Literature, Displays, and old Customer Files
