2 Airdrop Photos, Videos, Documents Between Devices (imac, ipad, iphone) Available - Photos, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Preview, Safari, Voice Memos, Finder Photos, - Sender - Select photo or video, memo, Click Share, Voice Memos Select additional photos, Click target Pages, Sender - In Menu Click Share, > Send a Copy, > Airdrop, Numbers, Select format (Pages, PDF, Word ), > Next, Keynote Preview, Sender - In Menu Click File, > Share, > Airdrop, Safari Finder Sender - Select file(s) to be shared, Click Airdrop in sidebar Note: The receiving device must be on to be detected Where do sent files go? Photos Photos Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Preview icloud Drive or on Files (my iphone/ipad) Safari Safari Finder Depends on File Type Constraints Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be turned on Personal Hotspot turned off If receive set to Contacts only, receiver must have sender in contacts list (w/ phone number and/or address) Device names - should be short but distinctive ios Settings > General > About > Name macos System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name! 2 of! 6

4 More Photo Sharing - Manually Organizing Photo Albums Use your imac as your primary photo repository 1) Copy all photos from your ipad or iphone to Photos on the imac Check Delete items after import (Note: if you want Photos to open automatically when connecting your ios device, Check Open Photos for this device ) 2) Open itunes and sync your imac and your ios device In the sidebar, click on Photos to choose which albums to copy back to the ios device On the Sync Photos page check Sync Photos and then select which albums you want to copy Click Apply 3) Open Photos on your ios device. Tap on Albums. Scroll down until you find the header From My Mac. All the albums you synced will be on the device. Any change you made to the Album on the Mac will be updated automatically.! 4 of! 6

5 Voice Memos - Record with your device s built-in microphone. Available on imac (Mojave), ipad, iphone. Open the Voice Memos app or ask Siri to open it. To record, tap or click!. To stop, tap!. On your ipad or Mac (Mojave), tap or click!. When you tap!, your memo is saved automatically with your current location as the title. On your ipad or Mac, click Done when you're finished recording. All your memos are available on every device that's signed in to icloud with the same Apple ID. Give More Descriptive Name - Select name (double click) enter new name [tap name in ios] Edit Voice Memo - Click on Memo to Edit, Click Edit [click in ios] Replace Segment - Move playhead to desired location Tap Replace to record over old recording tap or click!. Trim Beginning Tap!. Yellow handles with arrows appear on each and/or End - end of the memo in the lower recording graph. Drag yellow handles to new start/stop position. Tap Trim. Then tap Save and Done. Delete Part of a Memo - Same as above. Use trim handles to show what to delete. Tap Delete. Then tap Save and Done. Delete Voice Memo - Tap or click to select memo to delete. Tap! on ios or on your Mac, press the Delete key or choose Edit > Delete. The memo is moved to the Recently Deleted folder. Voice memos stay in the Recently Deleted folder for 30 days and then are deleted permanently. You can recover a voice memo if it's still in the Recently Deleted folder.! 5 of! 6

6 Electronically Signing PDF Documents Avoid printing, physically signing, and scanning a PDF document by signing it electronically in Preview. Create a Signature File on First Use - Open Preview. Click on the Markup icon ( ) and then the signature ( ) icon. Click on Create Signature > Camera. Sign your name on blank white paper and hold it to be visible to the camera. Preview will draw a virtual signature. Click Done. Electronically Sign a PDF - Open the PDF file you need to sign in Preview. Click on the Markup icon ( ) and then the signature ( ) icon. Click on a signature previously created to insert it into the PDF document. The signature can be moved or resized like a regular image. Note: You can create and save multiple signatures.! 6 of! 6
