2 District Website Maintenance, Development, and Hosting (Additional Scope) Upgrading Plone Refresh/redesign of aps.edu main and sub pages Upgrading to next version of Plone Plone intranet development customized applications, robust search, outline and develop governance, iterative releases Accessibility Compliant with federal guidelines governing web content accessibility; WCAG 2.0 Level AA and WAI- ARIA 1.0 Ongoing and continuous Plone development to adhere to future and additional changes that are federally mandated in web content accessibility Web Team / Communications backup in the event of a website audit. They are currently responsible for implementing compliance with legal requirements for website accessibility. Maintenance Deploy and track new development System bug fixes (for current and new development/applications) System patches (when released by Plone org) Check daily or weekly logs for errors and report to web team Create documentation for new development Enhancements to current system add-ons and custom content types Emergency support and coverage in the event of a district emergency (e.g. traffic overload, fail safe measures; APS web team is unable to fix a problem, posting emergency content, etc.) Check new development into GitHub Use a ticket tracking system to log work and communicate with the APS web team Server Maintenance and Support Configure the Rackspace web server Notify web team on server maintenance conducted by Rackspace Deploy new development and test on production servers Create tickets or work with web team to create tickets for security testing on the website (done annually) Consulting Review and help gather website data for preparing strategic plans Work with Web Manager to refine project plans regarding web development Attend high level meetings and provide recommendations for new web/electronic initiatives that affect aps.edu
3 Assist the Web Team, maintain backups and a failsafe option in the event aps.edu goes down or is inundated with national level traffic Usability Development of intuitive interfaces to enhance efficiency and clarity of website for end users Expertise in usability with a focus on user-centered design and development Design and leverage user testing and results to drive website improvements for users Custom Application Development GIS expertise to refine the current map tool to include additional layers per the needs of the district Develop and build custom web applications for district departments in alignment with current applications
4 Website Maintenance and Hosting Services RFP No RR-RA Questions & Answers Is this RFP for the District site only or does it also include the school sites? If school sites are included, how many total Schools are there? This RFP is for the District Site Only. Is your request specific for vendors that work with the Plone CMS, or would you consider migration of sites to an alternate CMS? No, we are not considering transitioning to any CMS outside of Plone at this time. If a proven platform with a more competitive price point could not only meet, but exceed, the RFP S technical specifications, would the district accept an alternative to a Plone CMS? At this juncture, the district website is to remain in Plone until it is has been adequately evaluated that another platform would be a significant improvement. There has been no such assessment performed, therefore we are looking for an entity to provide continuation of services and maintenance that are specific to the system we currently utilize. Would the district consider a fully multi-tenant SaaS solution as an alternative to a single server solution hosted with Rackspace? The district is looking to stay the course with our current hosting solution. Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this? (like from India or Canada) Information would have to accessed, and shared with the IRS, to make sure you met all criteria to be a vendor. Whether we need to come over for meetings? Yes, you will need to come to our site for meetings. Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside the USA? (like, from India or Canada) No, you will have to available for on-site response.
5 Can we submit the proposals via ? No, the proposals can t be accepted via . Could we have clarification concerning what APS means on Page 10, to provide professional writing assistant services? We are not sure what this statement means about this RFP. STATEMENT IN QUESTION: Aps has issued this competitive sealed request for proposals for the purpose of obtaining responsive proposals from responsible parties to provide professional writing assistance services. On page 3, STATEMENT IN QUESTION, and page 10, they should both state to provide, Website Maintenance and Hosting Services. On page 10, APS also addresses costs by saying: A fee proposal shall be included; list detailed pricing for the services. Hourly fee Is the requirement that we need to detail the pricing for each of the services listed in the RFP: (i.e. - Plone Upgrade, Maintenance, Server Maintenance and Support, Consulting, Usability, Custom App Development) Or is APS requesting an hourly rate for these services under an awarded contract? Many of the services to be provided are intertwined; therefore we are looking for an hourly rate that would encompass all aspects involved.
