3 Introduction 1.1 General This Document describes the functional testing carried out with Konftel IP300 and 300IPX Conference handsets on a UNIVERGE 3C System. UNIVERGE 3C Software Version: _P2 Konftel 300IP Version at time of testing Konftel 300IPX Version at time of testing
4 2 Feature Description UNIVERGE 3C Version 8.5 onwards requires User Agent to be in place for the Konftel 300IP/300IPX handsets. The Konftel 300IP/300IPX handsets must be added to 3C with the System initialisation option of SIP > Verify User Agent being disabled. Once the handset/handsets have been added, it can then be re-enabled. 4
5 3 Service Conditions 3.1 Configuration of Konftel 300IP/300IPX handsets Once the Konftel handset is connected to the network, using DHCP it will be allocated an IP address. This address can be used in a web browser to configure the handset. Username : Admin Password: 1234 Under Settings - SIP Enable Account 1. Set the following: - Account name - (that will show on the display of the terminal) - User - Extension - Registrar address - 3C System IP/FQDN - Proxy address - Enable Keep alive Set to Yes for OPTIONS. - Realm - Leave as * to respond to any - Authentication Name and Password - Registration Interval Set to 300 5
6 Under Settings - SIP If using UDP then ensure that Allow Contact Rewrite is set to Yes. If using TCP then ensure that Allow Contact Rewrite is set to No. Under Settings - SIP If using TLS for secure signalling select the TLS option.when selected the Server and Root certficates will need to be uploaded into the device, followed by the Private key file and Private key password. 6
7 Under Settings Media you can customise the codec offering and priorities for each codec. Under Settings Media if SRTP is to be used then the recommended setting is Optional, this is then set in concjunction with the system initialisation setting on 3C of SRTP Enabled with Selective Security set to True. In the event of a call between the Konftel device supporting SRTP and a device not supporting SRTP, the call will fallback to RTP. 7
8 Under Settings Basic Settings such as setting Pins for the available profiles, Choosing the active SIP account and preferences related to Ring Level, tones for key presses and recording can be set. 8
9 Under Settings Network If DHCP is not being used then the network settings for the terminal such as IP, Subnet etc can be assigned. Settings related to VLAN preferences, 802.1x can also be modified from this page. 9
10 Under Phonebook Contacts personal contact entries can be added that can then be searched and dialed from the Konftel 300IP/300IPX. 10
11 3.2 Configuration of UNIVERGE 3C Before the Konftel 300IP/300IPX can register to UNIVERGE 3C its User Agent needs to be added manually. The User Agent needs adding under System Properties SIP and when being added you must ensure that the System Initialisation Setting SIP > Verify User Agent is Disabled. 11
12 Once the User Agent has been added, ensure the properties for the User Agent are set as per the following: 12
13 Once the Konftel 300IP/300IPX handset has registered to 3C it will appear as a new line under the Stations tab. Assign the relevant settings and address against the station before it can be used. 13
14 Once all Konftel 300IP/300IPX handsets are registered and configured, ensure the SIP > Verify User Agent item is enabled under System properties.
