Captains First Officer Simcard Motherboard Ethernet 3 Introduction A backpanel is a professional solution which has been developed by Sismo Soluciones to avoid unnecessary welding and simplify the mounting process for enthusiasts around the globe. As you may imagine, if you are building a Plug&Fly module from scratch, you will need to make a great number of connections between the SC-MB and the electronics. This can be done by soldering and wiring by using our GIC Cards, but it is a lengthy process. A backpanel is essentially a full interface card which follows the contact map of Sismo Soluciones. With this solution, the only necessary action for the user is to connect the Modules in the correct place by following the contact map, contained below. In the case of the Pedestal, most modules can be connected directly onto the backpanel with bottom pins (the same type of connection as the image at the top of this datasheet). There are four exceptions, and you must use IDC Flat Ribbon Cables to connect the following modules: Pedestal Light Panel Module, Fire Suppression Panel Module, Trim Control Panel Module and the Cabin Door Panel Module 4 Parts included One Backpanel for the Pedestal, with all the green connectors for power supplies and black connectors for the IDC Cables already installed. 1un AC to AC Converter of 12V to 5V, fully mounted. 1un dimming circuit with a relay for the Pedestal Backlight, fully mounted. The SimCards for a fully functional Pedestal Module are included. 3 These SimCards are fully installed on the Backpanel. The SimCards Ethernet are installed with bottom pins directly on the Backpanel without soldering. 1un Ethernet cable RJ-45 is also included. 5 Wiring Schedule A wiring schedule is a manual for the structure of the circuit. If you are building a Pedestal with Sismo Soluciones parts, you must follow the structure of the circuit exactly. Each input, output, display and potentiometer must be connected to the correct pins of the SC-MB. Otherwise, the script will not work. 5.1 Modules Coding Convention There is a code written on the backpanel for each of these modules. This information is clearly displayed on the backpanel. The contact map has been designed so that the user can install either an RT or a VHF. In case the user wished to install an RT, the functions in the Backpanel would be the following: Displays working, Inputs working (R Down Freq A, R Down Freq B, R Top Freq A, R Top Freq B, TFR, Test, HF Sens A and HF Sens B) and Outputs not working. The RT connectors not used in the Backpanel are the P2-RT-IN and the P3-OUT. Both sides of the Backpanel are used. One side is used to install all of the SimCards, with bottom pins.
