1 AD903 Input/Output (2 to 4 wire) Adapter 4 Performance 4 Durability 4 Value 4 Compatibility Performance: The AD903 allows the connection of almost any other audio device, input or output, to a cabled intercom system. Typical applications include: 1) feeding the signal from a stage microphone or audio mixer output into the intercom system so that intercom users can monitor the program from a distant point; 2) feeding the intercom conversations out to an audio amplifier, and; 3) connecting the intercom system to another intercom system which is operating on a different voltage or standard. The AD903 is connected into the intercom system as is a belt pack, via the 3-pin female XLR on the rear. A 3-pin male XLR is provided for looping onwards to the next station in the system. The AD903 is powered by the intercom power supply. Input and output are accessed via the 4-pin male XLR, also on the rear panel. Front panel high/low switches and 15-turn potentiometers allow the user to level-match virtually any input or output, from microphone level to line level. A third potentiometer is used to null the sidetone effect, reducing cross-talk. The input stage of the AD903 includes a studio-quality microphone transformer. The output is also transformer isolated. Frequency response has be carefully shaped to optimize both intelligibility and long-term listening comfort. Durability: The ribbed, extruded aluminum case; polypropylene end bezels; internal support system for the PC board; carefully mounted components; best-quality XLR-type connectors, and; recessed controls, all contribute to the outstanding ability of the AD903 to withstand rough usage. 2 AD913 Transceiver (Walkie-Talkie) Adapter 4 Performance Transceiver not included. 4 Durability 4 Value 4 Compatibility Performance: The AD913 permits communications between a cabled intercom system and any number of standard, simplex, (press-to-talk) transceivers. One of your transceivers is dedicated as base, and connected via its accessory mic/spkr jacks to the AD913. Transmissions from other transceivers (on the same frequency) are then heard at all intercom stations on the same circuit as the AD913. These stations may then transmit to the remote transceivers by simply pressing and holding their signal light button. The AD913 is connected to the intercom system as is a belt-pack, via the female 3-pin XLR on the rear. The AD913 is powered by the intercom power supply. Connection to the (base) transceiver is made through a 6-pin male XLR, also on the back panel. Pro Intercom can provide connecting cables for most popular makes of transceivers. 3 AD950 Telco In ter face Durability Value Compatibility Performance: The AD950 was de signed to be a sim ple tele phone in ter face ded i cated spe cif i cally to con nect a Pro Intercom (or com pat i ble) in ter com sys tem to a tele phone line. The min i mum num ber of in di ca tors and switches have been used. It is pow ered by the in ter com power sup ply and the phone line and needs no AC adapter or other source. It con nects to the in ter com just as if it were an other in ter com beltpack via the rear panel 3-pin fe male XLR. A male XLR is pro vided for loop ing on wards to an other in ter com sta tion, in case it is more con ve nient to lo cate the tele phone con nec tion some where other than at the end of the sys tem. A dou ble RJ11 jack sits be tween the XLRs. One is used to con nect to a live telco jack while the other is used (if de - sired) to add an in ex pen sive tele phone so that its key pad can be used to ini ti ate the con nec tion from the in ter com site. The front panel has three LEDs: green to in di cate that DC power from the in ter com power sup ply is pres ent; yel - low to in di cate that the AD950 is On Hook (hung up); and red to in di cate that a call is be ing re ceived to ini ti ate con - nec tion to the in ter com. Con nec tion is made by sim ply mov ing the Hook switch from On to Off. To match the many tele phone line lev els which can oc cur in dif fer ent ven ues, a multi-turn Level con trol is pro vided, and to give it an even wider range of lev - els, a High-Low switch is fit ted. Once con nected, any stan dard tele phone, in clud ing cell phones, or a tele phone net - work can join the in ter com by sim ply di al ing the num ber of the tele phone con nec tion over a tele phone com pany's network. 7 MC10 Multi-Circuit Se lec tor Switch Du ra bil ity Com pat i bil ity Performance: The MC10 is the truly pro fes sional way to pro vide ac cess to as many as 4 in ter com cir cuits at a re mote lo ca tion. A head set sta tion (belt pack) plugged into the 3-pin XLR on the MC10 will be con nected to the cir cuit cho sen by ro tat ing the se lec tor switch. This make-be fore-break ro tary switch con nects the belt pack to the new cir cuit be fore dis con nect ing it from the cur rent one - pro vid - ing a smooth, squeal-free tran si tion. A ca pac i tor is pro vided to iso late the cir cuit ground from true ground, help ing to elim i nate pop and RF in ter fer ence. The se lec tor switch is fac tory set for 2 cir cuits but may be changed to 3 or 4. Cir cuit ca bling is con nected to the MC10 via 12-po si tion screw-ter mi nal strips on the rear of the PC board. Ei ther side may be used to con nect the cir cuits, with the other side then be ing used to ca ble on wards to the next lo ca tion, if re quired. The nor mal con fig u ra tion as sumes that all con nected cir cuits are pow ered by the same power sup ply or mas ter sta tion. There fore the ter mi nals re lat ing to pins one and two of the XLR are com mon across the four cir cuits. In the event that the lo ca tion be ing served needs to switch be tween two or more com pletely sep a rately pow ered sys tems, links on the PC board may be re moved with a sharp blade. The MC10 is de signed to fit in a stan dard sin - gle-gang elec tri cal box. Where con duit and out let boxes are not avail able, the MC10 will fit per fectly into a Wiremold sur face mount box. 8 SB-1 Splitter/Isolator 1 into 4 or 1 into 2+2 Durability Compatibility Per for mance: The SB-1 pro vides a con ve nient method of split ting a sin gle cir cuit run into as many as 4 spurs. It has one in put and four out put XLR con nec tions. One ca ble run from a sys tem mas ter or power sup ply can be run to a re mote lo ca - tion then be split among sev eral sta tions. Daisy chain ing can be min i mized, elim i nat ing the need for two ca bles be ing con - nected to belt packs. Most sys tem mas ters and power sup plies pro vide a max i mum of three con nec tions per cir cuit. SB-1 s can be used at the sys tem mas ter or power sup ply lo ca tion to mul ti ply the num ber of home-run con nec tions which can be made to each cir - cuit. The SB-1 is equipped with an Iso late but ton. When this but ton is de pressed, two of the XLR out put con nec tions are iso - lated from the in com ing com mu ni ca tions cir cuit, while power is passed through to a newly formed cir cuit.
