1 KMV Power supply with relay output AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS They work as a power supply for inductive, capacitive, photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors. They have a electrical configuration in direct current. These equipments allow the connection of NPN proximity sensors (switching the negative), PNP (switching the positive) and Namur models (which act with the variation of the consumption current). The unit has an internal amplifier that can detect the sensor activation and immediately it energizes an output relay. The operation is signaled through a led mounted in the frontal panel of the instrument.recommended for making the D sensors set loads in alternating current such as: magnetic keys, solenoids, etc. They are manufactured in moldeld for mounting on mm DIN rail (DIN ) or fixed by two screws (DIN 0). 3 KMV Level ontrol KMV/0Vac This instrument is a level control used in reservoirs, containers, wells, etc. The control is executed from a mechanical key command (dry contact) or through proximity sensors keeping the level of the tank between minimum and maximum limits. The instrument is supplied with voltage source becoming easy the onnection of the proximity sensors (capacitive, photoelectric, ultrasonic) for the detention of low and high levels. It s mounted in injected in for mm DIN rail (DIN ) or it can be mounted through two screws (DIN 0). The unit has a jump mounting inside the box and its has the function to program the mode of operation (Reservoir or Well) according with the type of the proximity sensory used for monitoring the high and low levels. Technical haracterisitics AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS Tank Mode In the tank mode operation the controller energizes the relay output switching the command pump (turn on or off). When the low level sensor is deactivated it turns the pump on and when the liquid is in high level the second sensor will be active turning off the pump. Pump Well Mode The relay output will be energized when the high level sensor is actived turning the pump on to avoid that the liquid overflows. The output relay will be off only when the low level sensor is deactived. 4 AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS KMV Power Supply with Timer This instrument is a power supply for inductive, capacitive, photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors with electric configuration in direct current. It alows the onnection of NPN proximity sensors (switching the negative), PNP (switching the positive) and the Namur models (which act according to the the consumption current). This equipment has an internal amplifier that detects the sensor activation and aftewards it activates an universal timer (programmable multifunctions) that sets the relay output stage composed by a reversible contact. Applied for processes control and industrial automation equipments and where time delay is required. It also has two potentiometers mounted in the front panel for the delay adjustment within the previously programmed range in the dipswitch keys. ON / OFF Delay Function Every time this function is selected by the potentiometers will be simultaneously activated: P (with commands the ondelay) and P (responsible for the offdelay). In case one of the timers will not be require just set the potentiometer at the scale least canceling completely the equivalent delay. OneShot Function Recommended for supplying previously determined duration pulse, applicable for extending quick detections and where it is required only to detect the passing and not the presence of the object. Output Programming The relay output can be programmed to operate regularly deenergize (normal), or regularly energized (inverted) just acting on the S key. Time Range The delay time range can be within 0 to 0 seconds, available in ranges, defined by the S and S keys. 5 AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS Timer Amplifier for KMV Photoelectric Sen sors It is a power supply ex clu sive for pho to elec tric sen sors that do not have de output stage incorporated.the unit has an internal amplifier that detects the sensor activation and afterwards it activates a universal timer (programmable multifunctions), that at its time, activates the output stage, composed by a two reversible contacts relay. Recommended for controlling processes and equipment automation where the time de lay is re quired. KMV/0Vac Sensitivity Adjust KMV has an adjust sensitivity potentiometer (P) that has the objective of re duc ing the am pli fier sen si tiv ity, al low ing the set to dis crim i nate re duced ob jects within any dis tance be tween the trans mit ter and the re cep tor (within the spec i fied lim its on the chart above). Instantaneous In this way, the re lay out put in stantly sig nals the light beam in ter rup tion. Rec om mended for ap pli ca tions where the unit must in form the pres ence or pass ing of an ob ject in real time.. Time ondelay The ondelay pro vides a de lay on the pow er ing the out put relay, in re la tion to the sensor activation. Recommended for eliminating sensor false activations, be sides the con trol func tions. Time offdelay In the offde lay, the ac ti va tion of the out put re lay is ex tended in re la tion to the sensor, making it recommended for the sensor quick activation situations. Time on and offdelay This is a com bi na tion of both pre vi ous func tions, the ad justed time is the same for both de lay. Darkon mode This way, the out put re lay is kept deenergized and when the ob ject to be de tected cuts the beam light, the re lay is en er gized. Lighton mode This in verts the out put, it means, the re lay is kept en er gized and when the ob ject breaks the beam light, the re lay is deenergized. 6 AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS KMV KMV/0Vac This unit has for purpose to detect the direction of rotation in engines, reducing, fans, elevators, mills, mixers, etc. It uses two Namur inductive sensors providing pulses for the control unit, which controls the moving rotation that can be clockwise or counterclockwise direction signaled by two relays. Re verse and Di rect Out put The di rect out put which is formed by one re lay with a SPDT re vers ible con tact, is ac ti vated when the mov ing di rec tion is a clock wise, op er a tion sig nal ized by a red led on the front panel. Anal o gously in anticlockwise mov ing, the re verse re lay is also ac ti vated, with their led, mak ing the di rect re lay to be im me di ately de ac ti vated. Pulses Output Sensor Sensor Rotation Direction Detector The out put stage is com posed by two open col lec tor tran sis tors, able to com mand elec tronic cir cuits or PL I/O in put card. When the rotation sense is direct, the pulses output will supply a pulse every time that a came passes through the sensors, being established that the A frequency signal is proportional to the axis speed. Analogously, the reverse output also transmits the pulses when the rotation is anticlockwise moving. A fault con di tion that makes the out put re lay to be deenergized, it hap pens every time when the speed sur passes the pre vi ously pro grammed value. Initial temporization When se lect ing the underspeed func tion, the start up bypass cir cuit is au to mat i cally ac ti vated; it has the func tion of hold ing the in stru ment work keep ing the out put re lay pow ered un til the con trolled equip ment passes through the ini tial in er tia and reaches the usual op er a tion speed. This tim ing is sig nal ized by a green led set up in the front panel of the in stru ment. Local and remote reset The start up bypass tim ing is ac ti vated when the equip ment is be ing pow ered, and it is also pos si ble, to ac ti vate it later through a re set but ton mounted in the front panel. With the lo cal re set but ton pressed, the out put re lay keeps pow ered, af ter be ing re leased (con tact open ing) the start up bypass tim ing count ing starts and just later it re leases the out put re lay. It is also pos si ble to ac ti vate the re set through an ex ter nal con trol cir cuit or an ex ter nal pushbutton (im pulse con tact) through and 9 ter mi nals, work ing as same as lo cal re set. Memory function It is im ple mented by set ting the S key on the ON po si tion. It has the func tion of block ing the out put re lay when some ir reg u lar ity hap pens, thus forc ing the op er a tor to re set the unit by the pushbutton or by the ex ter nal re set. The sen sor de tects the pas sage of a me tal lic tar get that can be: a cam, axle, crew, etc, or even a slot ted disc. It is also pos si ble to use tra di tional me chan i cal sen sors or reed switch to supply pulses proportionally to the monitored equipment speed. Output relay The in stru ment has a re lay out put, with pro gram ma ble con tact and ca pac ity to ac ti vate the contactor of the mon i tored equip ment. Operation mode The instrument can operate in three ways: Speeding where the exit contact signals the increase of speed in relation to the Set Point. Underspeed where the exit contact will indicate the fall of the rotation in relation to the Set Point. Window the instrument will request two values of rotation, in which the exit relay will be acted when the speed of the monitored equipment will be in this programmed interval. Analogical output The mon i tor still has an anal o gical out put (00mA or 0mA) pro por tional to the mon i tored ro ta tion, it can be used as feed back to the con trol ler. 10 AMPLIFIERS AND ONTROLS RD0 Monitoring and Transduction of Speed and Ro ta tion Dur ing in dus trial pro cess au to ma tion we have many con trol ap pli ca tions and speed monitoring in rotative equip ment such as: en gines, re duc tors, pumps, fans, mix ers, mills, etc. We can find two most fre quent con trols:: Speed Monitoring In this ap pli ca tion an in duc tive prox im ity sen sor is usu ally used and it is in stalled to gether with the mon i tored axis, de tect ing the pass ing of a me tal lic cam or the re lieves of an in dented disc. Thus, the sen sor gen er ates a pulsed sig nal with pro por tional fre quency to the mon i tored axis ro ta tion. The sig nal is trans mit ted for the Speed Mon i tor that com pares the time be tween two pulses with a pre vi ous de ter mined time, com mand ing this way the out put stage. Speed Transductor It con verts the sen sor pulsed sig nal into an a log i cal cur rent sig nal (0mA) pro por tional to mon i tored axis ro ta tion. The analogical current signal is useful to act rotation indicators, speed controllers, etc. Slotted Disc The slot ted disc showed here is a 0 tooth model, easy to in stall be cause it is biparted, it means, di vided in two parts in or der to make the axis set up easy.
