1 SCHOLARONE AbSTRACTS MyITINERARY GUIDE This document contains instructions for users who use the MyItinerary web and mobile application for ScholarOne Abstracts. For more training materials, please visit ScholarOne s Get Help Now site. 2 Suggested Browsers and Settings Please use Chrome or Safari if you are accessing the MyItinerary web application from your desktop. My- Itinerary web application will not work with Internet Explorer. NOTE: MyItinerary web application will not work with Internet Explorer. USING Get Help Now & FAQS One of your greatest help tools is ScholarOne s Frequently Asked Questions tab on our help site, Get Help Now. Search FAQs for the answers to commonly asked questions by typing keywords into the FAQ search field. We recommend you bookmark our help site and visit often. In addition, Get Help Now offers: 1. 3 MyItinerary Overview With our mobile and web application MyItinerary you can browse sessions, events, and presentations; view presentation details and add individual presentations or entire sessions to an itinerary. You have the ability to view schedule conflicts and withdrawals; search for items using varied criteria, view the conference venue map and access other conference information. You will be able to do many of the things you can do in ScholarOne Abstracts Itinerary Planner all from your device. NOTE: The MyItinerary web application will work on most smart phones such as Blackberry s, Androids, and iphones. It will not currently work on Windows phones. If you are using a desktop you can only open the MyItinerary web application in Chrome or Safari. When using a mobile device the suggested operating systems are ios 4.3 or later, Andriod 2.2 or later, Blackberry OS 7.0 or later. VIEWING YOUR ITINERARY When you visit your conference or meeting site on MyItinerary you will see the society logo, conference information, and the menu. NOTE: Most of the MyIntinerary features are optional. You may see some features described in this document that are not used for your socienty s conference. Page 3

4 SCHOLARONE ABSTRACTS Myitinerary MYITINERARY GUIDE guide VIEWING YOUR ITINERARY (continued) When you visit MyItinerary for the first time, if you have saved an itinerary in the full version of ScholarOne Abstracts Itinerary Planner, you will see the option to import the saved itinerary on the My Itinerary screen. This option is also available on the Settings screen along with the option to export changes made to your itinerary back into the full version. If your itinerary is empty, you will see the Import Itinerary from ScholarOne Abstracts option on the My Itinerary screen. (This option will also continue to be available on the Setting screen). 5 When you select the itinerary it is arranged by date. In the To field type in the address you wish to send the to and click Send. Browse Program Inside the Browse Program page, you can view sessions and events using the plus and minus buttons. The menu items are Home, Itinerary, which will take you back to your existing itinerary, Search and Society, which will take to the society home page. Page 5

6 Browse Program (Continued) Click the View link to see additional information about the session or event such as the type, location and learning objectives. Click circle to add to your itinerary. Page 6

7 Search The search section allows you to filter your search by Session Type(s), Session Topic(s), and you can Enter search text. NOTE: Auto-Expand all days? All results will be auto expanded. View Presentation Details Presentation details are viewable from inside Browse Program. Expand a session then click the View link next to a presentation title to read the entire abstract. Click + / - to expand days and sessions. Under the View page you can read all of the information located within that presentations abstract. Page 7

8 View Presentation Details (Continued) You can Take Notes and Save them for each individual abstract. NOTE: If you don t save notes you will not be able to them later. Click Take Notes to start taking notes for the selected abstract. Page 8

9 Adding sessions and presentations You can add or remove sessions/presentations with just one click. Click + / - to expand days and sessions. Select the button beside the sessions/ presentations you wish to add to your Itinerary. Green check marks will display next to the sessions/ presentations that have been added to your itinerary. View Schedule Conflicts & Withdrawals A red exclamation mark will display next to the session or presentation if there is a conflict with the schudule time. If a session or presentation has been withdrawn you will see a W inside of a purple circle. Page 9

10 Taking notes Select the Take Notes icon from the main menu. Inside the notes page you can add new notes, and see notes that have been previously written. You can also notes to your own account or to anyone you wish to share the information. In the To field type in the address you wish to send to and click Send. NOTE: Remember to click Save when you enter notes. Page 10

11 Conference information To view information about the conference select Conference Information from the main menu. You will then find information about the venue such as emergency numbers and other information. Viewing CITY MAPS If you choose City Maps on the main menu you will see the location of the conference on Google maps. You can zoom in and out to see details. Page 11

12 Venue Maps Select the Venue Maps button from the main menu and a map of the conference venue will display. Up to 10 Venue Maps can be added to the list screen. Page 12

13 Settings To make changes to your MyItinerary settings select, Settings on the main menu. You can Clear MyItinerary data, Clear Cached data, Sync with Google Calendar or Import/Export Itinerary to/from ScholarOne Abstracts. Import/Export Itinerary to/from ScholarOne Abstracts The Import button will import the saved itinerary into the mobile application. It will not overwrite what has already been added to the mobile itinerary. Users can also export their itinerary from their mobile device into ScholarOne Abstracts Page 13

14 Exhibitors View the list and navigate to more information about each Exhibitor. The Exhibitor Information screen can contain the physical location of vendor, contact information, website, description and booth location. Social media Access your conference Twitter feed without leaving MyItinerary. updates View late breaking news and updates from your site Adminstrator on your mobile devices when using MyItinerary. 15 PEOPLE View a list of featured speakers linked to a photograph and additional information about the speaker. (Up to 10 featured speakers can be added) Page 15
