4 Course Goals By completing this course, you will be able to: Search for and view facility information for any facility in the United States. Edit, save, and submit updated facility information for your facility. View facility default preferences for your facility. Update facility default preferences for your facility. Complete and save facility attestations for your facility.

5 Before You Begin Before you can perform these tasks, the following conditions must be met: You must have scope over the facility that you are trying to add or edit information for or attest for. You must be a Facility Editor or a Network Facility Editor in order to: Enter or edit facility information. Edit facility default preferences. Complete attestations. Let s get started!

6 Tutorial Search and Edit Facility Information The following interactive tutorial will guide you through searching and editing facility information in CROWNWeb. View Tutorial Click View Tutorial to begin.

8 Tutorial What Are Default Preferences? A default preference specifies a typical method used at each facility for clinical data measurements (i.e., pounds instead of kilos). Why Set Default Preferences? When you set a default preferences for a field (such as unit of measurement, method, or frequency), you tell CROWNWeb that your facility uses that value for a majority of patients. By setting that value as a default, you won t have to enter it manually each time you enter data CROWNWeb will default to that value automatically. Of course, you can always override the default value for a single patient at any time by manually changing the selection on the screen.

9 Tutorial Edit Facility Default Preferences The following interactive tutorial will guide you through editing facility default preferences in CROWNWeb. View Tutorial Click View Tutorial to begin.

11 Tutorial Default Preferences in Action The default preferences you configure will automatically display on the Clinical screens in CROWNWeb.

12 Tutorial Default Preferences in Action (CONT.) You can override these preferences for a single patient: 1. First, enter the lab value. The measurement drop down becomes active. 2. Manually edit the selection in the drop down menu for that patient.

13 Tutorial What Are Facility Attestations? Attestation: n. A system user's explicit acknowledgement of or affirmation to the correctness of information provided. CMS currently requires all facilities who were not required to have a CMS Certified organization conduct the ICH CAHPS survey the prior year to submit an attestation through CROWNWeb. This data will be collected for each performance year beginning in January, and the reported performance will be for the prior year. Currently, CROWNWeb provides users the ability to perform the following attestation: In Center Hemodialysis and Consumer Assessment of Health Care Providers (ICH CAHPS)

14 Tutorial Who Can Submit Facility Attestations? Any Facility Editor. Multiple facility editors can submit different attestations on different days for the same facility. Facility Editors may submit the attestation for themselves or on behalf of another staff member at the facility. If the attestation is being submitted on behalf of another staff member, that staff member must have been entered into CROWNWeb via the Personnel screens for the selected facility. Attestations can be edited after they have been submitted.

15 Tutorial Submission Dates Facility Editors can enter attestations for 2018 attestations January 1, 2019 February 28, If any attestation has been submitted incorrectly, corrections can be made until February 28, 2019.

18 Tutorial Troubleshooting Commonly experienced problems, recognized solutions, and other key information: You can only edit facilities that you have scope over. Only a Facility Editor or Network Facility Editor can modify facility information. Other roles can read the information, but not modify. If you don t know which default method is used at your facility, check with your lab company.

19 Tutorial Summary To edit facility information: 1. From the Dashboard, click the down arrow to the right of Facilities. 2. Click Search Facilities. 3. Enter search criteria, and then click Search. 4. Click the desired facility. 5. Click Edit on the desired screen. 6. Make desired changes and then click Submit.

20 Tutorial Summary (CONT.) To edit facility default preferences: 1. From the Dashboard, click the down arrow to the right of Facilities. 2. Click Search Facilities. 3. Enter search criteria, and then click Search. 4. Click the desired facility. 5. Click View Default Preferences. 6. Click Edit Default Preferences. 7. Make desired changes, and then click Submit.

21 Tutorial Summary To complete facility attestations: 1. From the Dashboard, click the down arrow to the right of Facilities. 2. Click Search Facilities. 3. Enter search criteria, and then click Search. 4. Click the desired facility. 5. Click the Attestation hyperlink. 6. For the ICH CAHPS attestation Select Yes. Select the facility person s name you are attesting for. 7. Click Yes for the confirmation dialog box. 8. Click Submit.
