1 PEPFAR Panorama: Dossier Dashboards User Guide November 2018

2 Introduction (Panorama Dossier Dashboard) In an effort to give users more control over the dashboards and visualizations we are introducing Panorama Dossier. Dossiers enable an enhanced level of interactivity by giving users the ability to filter data as well as a consistent navigation and look and feel. This guide* provides an overview of how to navigate, filter, and export within a Dossier. *If you would like further information on the data content of available Dossiers, please refer to the Q4 PEPAR Panorama Dashboard Tutorial Access and Execution: Dossiers can be accessed on the Dashboard page of the PEPFAR Panorama Landing Page: Dossiers dashboards are identified by having Dossier in the title (ie; Expenditure Reporting Dossier) Simply click on the thumbnail of the Dossier you would like to execute

3 Layout of a Dossier When the users enters the Dossier they can see Table of Contents, including Chapters and Pages on the left side of the screen. Users can see filters on the right side of the screen to customize their view. The center of the screen is dashboard/ visualization. Access your Table of Contents with your grouped visualizations Filter your visualizations in the center of the screen

4 Navigation within a Dossier Table of Contents Chapters: Dashboard visualizations within Panorama Dossier will be organized into Chapters (Bolded on the left side of the screen) Pages: Each Visualization/Dashboard within Panorama Dossier will be contained within Pages below a certain Chapter (Listed under the bolded Chapters on left side of the screen). These are a group of visualizations that pertain to the Chapter they are included in.

5 Filtering Two type of filtering are available in Dossier. o Chapter filters o Page filters Chapter filters: Filtering will apply to all included Pages within the Chapters in Panorama Dossier. The Dossier will contain views at OU level, SNU level, All Mech, Mech by SNU, Age/Sex Disaggregates, and Narratives dashboards that are currently found within Panorama. All the filters are under the Filter header as shown in the image. The filtering within Panorama Dossier contains filters for Fiscal Year, Fiscal Quarter, OU, SNU, Prioritization, Support Type, Indicator bundle, Indicators, Partner, Agency, and Mechanism. Note: If no filters elements are selected in each filter, all options will be selected by default If a Dossier has both Deduplicated and Non-Deduplicated data, use the Agency filer to view the non-deduplicated version of the visualizations deselect "Dedup" from the Agency filter Page filters: For more advance analytics, page filters help with filtering only page the filters are available. These filters do not have Filter header.

6 Exporting a Dossier Dossiers can be export in various ways depending on your needs: Exporting the entire Dossier: The entire Dossiers can be exported to PDF by following the steps below: 1. Go to File > Export to PDF. 2. Click Export and the PDF will be displayed in a browser. in the visualization as a CSV file, with revenue data for each product category displayed in a tabular format, with values separated by commas. PDF file: Export the visualization to a PDF file in a reader, such as Adobe Reader. You can view the PDF on any device with a PDF reader, such as another computer, a Linux machine, a Nook, or a Kindle. Excel file: Export the visualization to a stand-alone Excel file, to view and interact with the data. The exporting formats available vary based on the type of dossier and the type of visualization you are exporting. To export the visualization, follow the steps below: 1. Hover the cursor over the top of the visualization to export, then click the icon in the top right. Exporting just a Visualization Individual visualizations within a dossier can be exported to the following formats: Data: Save the data in a visualization as a tabular CSV file. For example, a Graph visualization contains a combination graph that displays revenue data across several different product categories. You can save the data 2. Point to Export, then select one of the following: To export a visualization as a PDF file, select PDF. The visualization is exported and displayed in a browser window. To export the visualization as a CSV file, select Data. The File Download dialog box is displayed. To export a visualization as an Excel file, select Excel. The File Download dialog box is displayed.

7 5. Make sure that File Origin is set to Unicode (UTF-8). 6. Make sure that Delimiter is set to Comma. 7. Click Load. 8. The CSV file will open in Excel with the data in columns and with formatting as seen below: To open the CSV file in Excel so that the data is shown in columns (with formatting) follow the instructions below: 1. Open a blank Excel workbook. 2. Go to the Data-tab and select From Text/CSV. 3. Select the file you want to import from your file system and press Get Data. 4. This will open the following window:

8 Navigation within a Map in a Dossier Interactive map Dossiers enables users to zoom in and out in the map and see their corresponding data. You can Fit to zoom by using the square[ ] icons to view a particular region in the map. You can click the Open Legend icon on the bottom right corner of the map (highlighted in yellow) to view ranges of the data metric. You can zoom by using the + and -' icons at the right to view data.

9 To toggle between metrics in the legend, in the legend click the blue arrows to view the ranges of the different metrics.
