1 MICROSOFT POWER POINT COURSE NAME Adding Multimedia to a Creating Advanced Types of Shows Reviewing s Setting Up Slide Masters Creating s Printing and Viewing Your Starting Out COURSE OVERVIEW In this course, students will learn about the different types of multimedia that can be added to enhance their presentations; Well discuss how to edit audio and video files and talk about the different tools available to help with those tasks. Most people have probably seen some kind of slide show before; This section will deal with the various options available to the presenter, including the use of multiple monitors, hiding slides, adding narrations, and customizing other show elements; We'll also take a look at how to package a presentation for CD and install the PowerPoint viewer. This section will focus on reviewing and editing presentations; We'll take a look at comments and discuss how to add, edit, delete, and navigate through them; We'll also take a look at previewing changes made during the editing process. This section will focus on Slide Masters; We'll discuss the three different types of masters which can be made, as well as how to use and edit them. This section will go deeper into creating presentations; Topics will include using templates, managing text boxes, using editing tools, and formatting text. The final section of this course will cover PowerPoint's viewing and printing tools. To begin, you will learn the basics of PowerPoint; You will also learn how to create a basic slide show and how to get help in PowerPoint. This section will focus on adding different types of images to a presentation, including pictures from a file, Clip Art, screenshots, and photo albums; Participants will also explore tools for managing, editing, and formatting pictures, including new artistic effects, new background removal tools, and picture styles. 3 Essentials - Advanced Animation Techniques, Part One Essentials - Advanced Animation Techniques, Part Two Essentials - Advanced Techniques Essentials - Creating a Custom Show Essentials - Managing PowerPoint Files Essentials - Reviewing a Hand-out Masters Notes Masters edit the motion path, set start options, and modify the duration and delay of an animation. This module builds upon the skills taught in Module 8 by showing students how to set animation options, change the order of animations, use the Animation Painter, and use the Animation pane. Students can give their presentations a lot of extra pizzazz by using advanced presentation techniques; This module shows how to record and narrate a show, set narration options, use Presenter view, create a video from a presentation, create a show-only file, and present slides online. Custom shows are a great tool for audiences with different informational needs; This module looks at how to hide a single slide as well as how to create, edit, present, and delete a custom show. The course concludes with a discussion of how to manage files in PowerPoint; Students are shown how to optimize media compatibility, compress media, work with versions, recover unsaved files, and protect a presentation with a password. This module covers presentation review from start to finish, including how to send a presentation for review, compare presentations, navigate through mark-up, accept and reject mark-up, and end the review.
