3 General Support Tips Always keep a record of your completion certificates (eg. Save the PDF, take a picture with your phone, save a screenshot, etc.) with a legible name and completion date. Ensure you have a reliable internet connection (home vs. café/library/hotel/etc.). System Access Access Career Central Learning directly by typing the follow address into your browser's URL search bar: WestJetters: Swoopsters: Do not use Citrix it creates an unstable between the course and the system and significantly increases the risk of technical issues To access your Career Central Learning Profile, select Learning from the Home drop down at the top, left side of your screen. Supported Browsers and Configuration Only use Internet Explorer or Safari to complete your online learning. Other browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge may work for some courses but are missing essential software required by the courses functionality. *Please note the difference between Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer below* Last Updated: 6-APR

4 If you are in Safari, please ensure Flash is enabled: How to Enable Adobe Flash in Safari Be sure to add the following websites: Clear your browser s cookies and cache.* How to Clear Cache and Cookies from Internet Explorer How to Clear Cache and Cookies from Safari *External links from the University of Wisconsin-Madison but these are incredibly helpful! Review the System Check tile in your Career Central Learning profile to ensure your device is set up correctly, specifically: Flash Checker Java Checker Last Updated: 6-APR

5 Internet Explorer Support In order for some learning content to function properly in IE you will be required to change the compatibility setting via your IE tools menu. Internet Explorer Compatibility View Settings 1. Select Tools from your menu bar, then compatibility view settings. 2. Add the following websites: a) plateau.com b) successfactors.com Last Updated: 6-APR

6 Internet Explorer Java and Flash Career Central Learning requires Java and Flash to ensure proper functionality of content, and record progress and completion. To ensure you have the correct plug ins, follow the settings below: 1. Select Internet Explorer Tools (gear icon) and select Manage add-ons from the drop down 2. In Toolbars and Extensions, locate Shockwave Flash Object and Java SE Runtime Environment are Enabled 3. Close the window and continue to Career Central Learning Last Updated: 6-APR

7 Safari Support The following settings will revert after every ios or Safari update/upgrade. Please ensure these settings are reviewed after an update/upgrade prior to completing online training. For security reasons, these changes can be reverted once courses have been completed. Apple Laptop or Desktop 1. Click on Safari on the top left-hand side of the screen, then select preferences 2. Select the Privacy setting 3. Under Cookies and website data, select Always Allow and ensure Ask websites not to track me is unselected 4. Select Security tab and ensure Warn when visiting fradulent website, Enable JavaScript, and Allow Plug-ins are selected 5. Select Plug-in Settings button 6. 8 7. Ensure Java is enabled and the following sites have been added and select Done Apple ipad If you are on an ipad, follow the steps below. Please note, ipads significantly increase the risk of technical issues due to poor wifi connection. When possible, it is strongly recommend to complete online training on a laptop or desktop computer. ipads are not supported for Annual training due to the increased risk of technical issues. 1. Tap Settings icon 2. In Settings, select Safari 3. Ensure the follow settings switches are in the off position (should be white, not green)* a. Block Pop-Ups b. Block All Cookies c. Prevent Cross-Site Tracking 4. Hit the home button and relaunch Safari If you are on a company-provided ipad and are unable to change these settings, please contact Honeywell. The contact information can be located on the back of your device SAML Error SAML error is a known error that is result of incorrect browser settings on Apple devices. Last Updated: 6-APR

9 To correct this error, please review the Apple Laptop and Desktop and Apple ipads sections. This error will be resolved by following all steps listed in the aforementioned sections Frequently Asked Questions Completion has not registered for my elearning course and I have a completion certificate what do I do? If you have a copy of your course certificate, please forward to ITServiceDesk@westjet.com and we can take care of this for you right away. Audit requirements dictate the need for proof of completion before we can manually record completion on behalf of a learner. Completion has not registered for my elearning course and I do not have a completion certificate what do I do? Unfortunately, we cannot manually record completion without proof of training as it opens the company up to risk in the event of an audit. We need to be able to demonstrate training compliance to an auditor and unfortunately our word is not sufficient. Career Central records every action taken in the system so when an audit request our learning records, they can tell the differences between courses completed by a learner and those recorded by an administrator I have outstanding instructor-led/station sign-offs/in-class skills on my Career Central Learning profile who do I contact? How do I review previously completed content? 1. In your Career Central Learning profile, select "View All" in the "Learning History" tile 2. Locate course by scrolling or searching using the search bar at the towards the top of the Completed Work page 3. Hover over the course name - DO NOT CLICK - and a new box should appear with the option to: View Details, Print Certificate and, Review Content 4. Select Review Content 5. A new screen will appear. Select the hyperlink of the course name to relaunch the course in a new window My course is frozen/stuck/won t move forward what do I do? Review and action the information listed in this document. Please be sure you are using a supported browser and have cleared your browser s cookies and cache.
