2 Writing Up Reports for PURE We ll be following the Risk Control Getting Started Guide Misc. Info. > CIS Info > CIS Client Info > PURE Open this each time you do a PURE report 2
3 Start in CORE Go to the Valuation tab and complete the manual cost grid 3

7 Adding & Deleting Forms Plus sign adds Stop sign removes 7
8 Survey Overview High Value Reports require Forms the Underwriting Report the e2value Full Residential any supplements necessary per the report (see below for Condos) Interior, Observation Only require the Loss Control Report any appropriate Supplements COC reports require add the COC Underwriting Report ONLY any applicable supplements Neither the Loss Control Report, nor the COC require an e2value Condos will be showing up as High Value. You will need the Condo Report Form the e2value Condo Valuation and any supplements as needed 8

12 Validate or Valuation These are what it takes to ensure that the form is correct and that the information is input correctly. Don t forget to use these! Won t get a value in e2value if you don t hit Valuation! Validate will let you know if there is anything that needs to be completed that hasn t already been done. 12
13 Save often Underwriting Page Answer additional questions as they arise Watch our for *** These are areas you need to add a number or language For all Recommendations in the Underwriting Form, a photo must be attached. You can confirm that this photos and information has been added by clicking the Recommendations tab 13
14 Underwriting Page There are a handful of comment text boxes throughout Risk Control providing plenty of opportunities to elaborate on most anything. If the comment being included pertains to water damage, it should go in the water damage section of the report. If the comment is about the kitchen photograph being omitted, it would go in the additional comments section at the end (since there is no kitchen section in the report). 14
15 Recommendations and Requirements Please refer to the online Risk Control Castle Training Manual for full details There are many options for Recommendations Work from the Underwriting Report If there are items that are given as Poor or Unacceptable, look through this form to see if there are Recommendations that would help Again, review the dropdowns Select the option you want Look at the narrative that comes up See if there are any additions that you need to make Location of concerns, etc. Don t worry about anything below Complete By except the Photos Upload Appropriate Underwriting Photo here We ll also upload Underwriting Photos to the Diagrams tab Should do two uploads for now i.e. in Diagrams (see below) and here 15
16 Photos Tab at the top of the page Do this after you complete the entire form Add the Home Photos here ***UW Photos do not go here See Diagrams Section below*** Interior and Exterior photos Follow the Client Special Instructions document for all required photos If a photo from this list that is required by PURE is unavailable, a narrative must be given Ex. The kitchen photograph was omitted due to the member making dinner at the time of inspection. The kitchen consists of custom crafted cherry cabinets with granite countertops. Special features of the kitchen include Label as Report Photos Not Internal Photos! 16
17 Photos Must have Front View, Rear View, Sides, Entry, Living Areas, Dining Room, Kitchen, Master Suite, Master Bathroom Also, photos of ALL Bathrooms & ALL Fireplaces are REQUIRED If not available, please give a reason in the UW Page under Additional Comments 17
18 Photos Can upload multiple photos at once You need to organize the photos in the order you want them to be in the report This is because once you upload them, there is no way to reorganize them within Risk Control So, you ll want to upload them into the correct order the first time: Front View, Rear View, Sides, Entry, Living Areas, Dining Room, Kitchen, Master Suite, Master Bathroom One way to do this is to organize your photos in Windows Explorer You can see the large thumbnails in Windows Explorer and rename the photos so that they import into the correct order For instance, the front view could be changed to the file number, with an A at the end of it A The Rear View could be changed to have a B at the end B Do this with all the photos in the order listed above to ensure they get imported correctly Then, you can select multiple photos and import them all at once 18
19 Diagrams We have to put the sketch or diagram here All homes must be measured Use your current sketch software; Upload the JPEG only You might see two sketches in this section. LEAVE THEM BOTH DON T DELETE EITHER PHASE I workaround All UNDERWRITING PHOTOS NEED TO GO IN THE DIAGRAMS SECTION OF THE REPORT Be sure to put all Mechanical photos, Detached Structures and Underwriting Concern photos here MUST HAVE PHOTOS OF ALL MECHANICALS & ALL DOGS If not available, please detail why in the UW page under Additional Comments Choose the name of the correct category for each photo Generic will be Additional Exposures 19
20 e2value FULL RESIDENTIAL Form Go to Form at the top of the screen This is the only part you need to do Client information is pre-populated Living Area Year Built Just like the Underwriting report, HIT SAVE BEFORE YOU DO ADDITIONAL AREAS Additional Areas Attached Structures 20
21 e2value FULL RESIDENTIAL Form The rest are just e2value entries Remember, for Construction Type, if the home has Brick Veneer, choose veneer, brick, not framing, wood You will need to fill out all of the e2value questions. But, you ll notice that the Kitchens and Unique Items are not in the form yet. You ll have to hit Save after you ve filled out all the initial questions to then access the KITCHENS & UNIQUE ITEMS. 21
22 e2value FULL RESIDENTIAL Form THEN, ENTER THE KITCHEN & SPECIALTY ITEMS When finished, go to the top of the form on the right and hit Validate This will let you know if you ve done a complete valuation or if there s missing data Then, hit SAVE Then, go to the VALUATION tab to see the totals While still in the VALUATION tab, either keep the value e2value and hit Save or you can increase the value by entering in your own cost per square foot in the box next to the e2value labeled OR You can also Override the e2value while in the Form tab, but you have to first go to the Valuation tab to get the results Hit Save after Overriding If you override the value, you must give a detailed explanation in the Replacement Cost Narrative in the Underwriting Report If you want to lower the value, please contact your manager first for a price check Be sure to Save one last time 22
23 Critical to PURE Wind Supplements Please follow the PURE Wind Can you have the inspector review this report? The credits show that it has Solid Backed Colonial with Storm Bars/Brackets, but then the recommendations call for opening protection on all doors and windows. Can you please have the inspector revise the recommendations in this report? The recommendations for the garage door bracing, and doors and windows should both be moved to the Wind Supplement section of the report, and they should use our pre-filled wordings. 23
24 Wind Supplements Can you please confirm the lack of opening protection at this location with the inspector? Per below, local building code requires opening protection for new construction, so it seems unlikely that the openings are unprotected. If possible, I'd like some follow up with this - we're relying on the local inspectors to be familiar with the building codes in their area. I recognize that it's possible that the openings are not protected but, if that's the case, it would be great if the note could explain that it's in violation with local code or that it received a variance. 24
