7 Meet the Team KENDALL HULET CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Prior to joining Cake, Kendall served as Senior Vice President of Product Management at Ancestry.com, where he led the creation of the company s mobile app and oversaw key features of the AncestryDNA product. Before joining Ancestry, he worked in product marketing at Monster.com. Kendall holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. LEVI KING CO-FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN In addition to co-founding Cake, Levi King is CEO and co-founder of Nav, a startup focused on helping small businesses better understand and access credit. A serial entrepreneur, Levi started multiple businesses prior to Nav, including Lendio, and has raised over $100m of investment capital to date. THE LONG VERSION Founded in 2016, Cake is an early stage, venture-backed startup located in Utah. Co-founder Jase Bosarge, a self-proclaimed tinkerer, had been experimenting with different presentation styles of search results that could facilitate academic research. One such idea was a suppression of the search index which would allow the web browser to preload the search results, saving the user a significant amount of time. As he applied that to a mobile experience and added swiping gestures, Cake was born. With a foundation of sound technology and intellectual property, the Cake team has been hard at work to make not only an innovative web browser, but more importantly a delightful and intuitive user experience. To date, mobile web browsers have been just modifications of a desktop experience.
