5 Save time! Retrieve numerous articles with one click. Power search! Not just abstracts anymore! Explore the use of specific concepts not in MeSH or keywords Quickly explore ideas for grants, papers or teaching Do bibliographic analysis and concept clustering Can only download 500 articles at a time Full-text searching limited to newer pdf formats Default installation is to your bootpath, which may slow down daily startup. (You can disable QUOSA startup.) May not always behave as expected.

6 QUOSA will live on your computer (office or personal). All articles are downloaded to that computer. You can then read and analyze all those articles anywhere your computer is. First you must download QUOSA from the Library homepage:

17 To open an article, double click on it in the Results pane Then you can use open next to open each result in order. Click Document Summary tab at the bottom of the Organizer pane.

19 Your ability to retrieve full-text articles (PDFs or HTML) depends on whether UM has subscriptions or license agreements for the journals and/or databases. It may also depend on link resolvers and how they are set up. QUOSA supports pdf documents in Adobe Acrobat Version 6 and above. Certain QUOSA features, such as highlighting, work only with Version 7 or later. If you are not able to retrieve full-text articles when you think you should, please contact the Calder Library and then support@quosa.com (copy us). When you use QUOSA from home or remotely, you may not be able to receive everything you can from an office computer.

23 To do Concepts for Clustering, go to Advanced View, and click at the bottom on the Organizer Pane.

25 Go to Settings->Citation Manager- >Select Citation Manager Select RefWorks Perform PubMed search Select several articles by checking their checkboxes Click To Citations on the Browser pane toolbar. (Or Click Commands -> Sync and Link selected..." (in the lower section).) The Browser with RefWorks page will launch and you will be prompted for the login information. (RWUMiami) Select Import Filter/Data Source Format (default is RIS). Select Database Select Import References into folder Check box of the article to import Click Review You will see the citations you selected in PubMed listed in your RefWorks library/database
