1 EBSCO Host - H W Wilson ( Wilson OmniFile Full Text, (Mega Edition) provides electronic access to full-text articles, page images, article abstracts and citations from over 3,075 publications with Back files from 1994 onwards. The database provides access to information on virtually all subjects. Wilson s OminiFile Full-text (Mega Edition) contains everything that are covered in ten databases offered by Wilson, namely Education Full-text, General Science Full-text, Humanities Fulltext, Reader s Guide Full-text, Social Sciences Full-text, Wilson Business Full-text, Applied Science and Technology Full-text, Art Full-text, Biological and Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals Full-text and Library Literature and Information Science Full-text. Now OminiFile Full-text (Mega Edition) database is available through EBSCO platform. The Member of N-LIST Programme can access 3,075 titles with full-text from 1994 onwards in different disciplines and bibliographical details with abstracts are available for remaining journals. Select OminiFile Full-text Mega (H.W.Wilson) on the homepage of EBSCO Host and then click on Continue button to access articles published in OminiFile Full-text through its searching and browsing options. Click on continue button Select OminiFile Full-text Mega Browse To browse OminiFile Full-text (Mega Edition), click on publication option at the top of the EBSCOhost screen. It will display list of journals in an alphabetical order. User can also browse a journal by entering its name, subject and related term in text entry box. Select appropriate parameter by clicking radio button. For example, enter name of journal or related search term and click on Alphabetical to view journals beginning with the letters entered in search entry box or Match Any Words to view journals containing one or more of terms. Enter subject in text entry box and click on By Subject & Description to view subject-wise list of journals. * Do not log on to the URL directly. First log on to N-LIST website with your user ID and password, and then select EBSCO Host H W Wilson for accessing its journals N-LIST INFLIBNET Centre 1

2 Sort result by alphabet, by subject & description etc Browse option also provides Mark Items for Search feature to search several journals at the same time, or to combine one or more journals with other search terms. Click on check box at left side of journal name and click on Add button to add marked items for search in search text entry box located at top as shown below in screenshot. Click on Search to search results within selected journals. User can also sort or refine their browsing results from the left hand side navigation panel. The basic search box can be used for searching any term in all the fields. Enter the search term in the search text box and click on Search button. Click the Search Options link to use additional search options to limit and expand search. Click the link again to close the Search Options. 4 Advanced Search To use Advanced Search: 1. Click the Advanced Search link. 2. On the Advanced Search Screen, enter search terms in the text entry box. 3. Select from the available Search Options: Search modes Use specific search modes, such as Find all of my search terms, or SmartText Searching, or use search options that expand search such as Apply related words. Limit your results Limit the results by publication type, date range, document etc. Click the Search button. Search Result On search result page, click on PDF Full Text link to download full text articles in PDF format. User can revise their search by using Refine your results options available at left hand side navigation panel. Click Show More link to view all available limiters. 5 Search History: All searches performed using advanced search or Basic search during the session are available from the Search History/. How to Use Search History: 1. Run a search, and view search results. 2. Click the Search History link. The Search History window displays list of searching performed. To close Search History, click the Search History link again. Personal Account User can create a personal account that can be used to save search results, persistent links to searches, saved searches, search alerts, journal alerts to personal folder. Setting up a Personal Account: 1. From the Sign In Screen, click at Create a new Account link. 2. Screen for Create a New Account appears. Fill in the fields on that appear on the screen and click Save Changes N-LIST INFLIBNET Centre 5

6 User will receive message that provides user name and password. Click OK. User will be automatically logged in as a personal user. Saving Searches Login with username and password and click the Search History/Alerts link on search result page. The Saved Search/Alerts Screen appears. Enter a Name and Description for the search. Click on Save. To retrieve searches, click Retrieve Searches on Search History/Alerts Screen. Setting up Alerts/RSS Login with username and password and click at Alert/Save/Share link on search result page and then select Alerts from the resulting pop-up menu N-LIST INFLIBNET Centre 6

7 Set up alert parameters such as Frequency, Period of publication and result format. Now, click Save Alert to save the alert. User can also copy RSS link from Create Alert page and paste it to their RSS Feed Reader to get regular feeds.
