7 Introduction 1 7 Introduction The Travsys Smart Comms Agents(TSCA) provides an easy to use graphical interface replacing the green screen command line interface. The interface supports multiple airline hosts providing an easy to use common graphical interface. Graphical components are available for the following host applications: Check-in Boarding The system consists of a generic client that handles the user input and interfaces to the peripherals such as ATB and BTP printers. The application integrates seamless in airport platforms such as Travsys (tm), Cute (tm) and Muse (tm). For advanced or expert users access to the emulator screen is provided for native application entries. In the following sections detailed information is given about the use of the application. For configuration and installation consult the TSCA Administration guide. 1.1 Home Screen After starting the TSCA the home screen is displayed. The home screen is the central place from where host sessions and other applications are accessed. The actual content of the host screen is setup by the system administrator. The below screenshot is just an illustration. Figure 1. Home screen In the central area of the home screen the available applications and sessions will be shown, double clicking on a application or session opens a new tab with that application or sessions.

When hovering the mouse over the pictures more detailed information is shown. Figure 3. Tabs The small red or green dot on the tabs indicate the status of the sessions, green is the session is connected and ready for use, the red dot indicates some problem. To close a tab simply click the cross. 1.2 Web Connect Its possible to integrate TSCA with the Travsys Web Connect service. In that case the TSCA is loaded and started from the Web Connect server. This includes the configuration. Other than the initial startup there are no further differences in the way the TSCA operates. For more information about Web Connect contact Travsys B.V.

10 10 2 Travsys Smart Comms Agent Users Manual Checkin In this section the Checkin process is explained. 2.1 Check-in overview After opening a session the Main Checkin screen opens. Depending on the configuration you either have to login or the flight screen is shown directly Figure 4. Checkin screen The screen is divided in several area's. The flight status - Shows the host status, the active flight and some details from the active flight. Main toolbar - From here the main functions are available, which buttons are shown depends on the active screen. Main content area - Depending on what part of the check-in this area shows the main content. Message area - Here status and other informational messages are displayed. 2.2 Login screen The login is used to enter the host signon code and possible passwords. The actual content of this screen depends on the host. Depending on the configuration its possible the login is done automatically and this screen is never shown.

11 Checkin 11 If allowed by the administrator its possible to remember the username and password so the next time login is automatic. If the login is successful the next screen is usually the Assign Flight screen, 2.3 Assign Flight This screen is used to select the flight for check in. If the flight number is known it can be directly entered in the input fields.if supported by the host, it is also possible to show a list of flights for today and select the flight from that list.to retrieve or refresh the list, click on the Flight List button. Double click on the list will activate the flight. Once the flight is activated the next screen is usually the Main Checkin screen. The Flight status will be shown on the screen.

12 Travsys Smart Comms Agent Users Manual Main Checkin This is the main working screen for checkin passengers. Main checkin screen. The Main toolbar has a number of options available: Assign Flight Activates the Assign flight screen, use to active another flight. Flight Info Brings up the detailed flight info screen. Lists To call up various lists. Signout To signout of this session. Native To access the native emulator session. This is only for advanced users. The Command Pad area contains additional functions for working with the passengers. In the Edits section pax data can be modified. In order to check-in a passenger or a group of passengers, they must be selected for check-in. To find the passenger either type in a few letters in the search input box or scroll to the list. Once found select it and click the Select Pax or Select Group button. Select Pax only selects the Pax for check-in, Select group will select the entire group. Alternatively a pax may be selected by using the passport reader, just swiping the passport will automatically select the passenger and fill in the additional API information. Detailed flight info is available via the Flight Info button.

13 Checkin Select for Checkin After selecting a pax or group for check-in the following screen is shown. Group selected for check-in As you can see, the pax list now only shows the pax selected for check-in. This first thing to do is to complete the possible required information such as baggage, onwards, API data etc. Optionally the seatmap can be consulted for selecting specific seats. Once done clicking the Checkin button will complete the check-in. To print bagtags or boarding passess click the BT or BP button. When ready with check-in press the Back button to go back to the Main Checkin screen. In the following pages more details about the edits is shown. 2.6 Editing passenger data Passenger data can be edited by selecting the passenger from the passenger list and entering the information in input fields in the detail area on the screen. You may need to click the Load details button to have complete information. The edits a grouped in several categories which can be selected by clicking one of the tabs. The actual available tabs may vary between hosts. Edit pax tabs. Except for some specific cases, the updated information is not directly send to the host. Click the Apply updates button to send the edits to the host, or Cancel Updates to undo the changes.

14 Travsys Smart Comms Agent Users Manual General edit Select the General tab to enter this screen. The exact layout of this screen may vary between different hosts.. General pax info Baggage edit To add or remove baggage click the baggage tab. Baggage edit. To add bags, fill in the number and total weight of the baggage, then click the Add button. To remove or unload baggage, select the tag number that must be removed and click the Remove button. Make sure to destroy the tags! Use the Reprint button to reprint the selected tags. Note that changes on this screen are directly sent to the host Norec edit To edit norecs click the Norec tab

15 Checkin 15 Norec edit. This screen is used to added passenger who have a valid ticket but are not in the departure control system. Just fill in the details and click the Add button. Note that changes on this screen are directly sent to the host Staff edit To enter staff information click the Staff tab. To apply the updates to the host click the Apply updates button Onwards edit To edit onwards click the Onwards tab. Note that changes on this screen are directly sent to the host Comments/Meals/Facts edit To edit comments, meals, fact click on the tab. Select category From the drop-down box select the category, then in the input field enter the text or code, finally click the Add button to add the comment. To remove a item select it from the list and click the Remove button.

To apply the updates to the host click the Apply updates button. Seat change To change seats, select the pax from the pax list, this will show the old seat, now just type in the new seat nr. Optionally use the Seatmap Variable class edit Variable class edit. To apply the updates to the host click the Apply updates button.

The information show here depends on the host. Some information must be filled in. To apply the updates to the host click the Apply updates button. 18 18 Travsys Smart Comms Agent Users Manual Seatmap screen The seat map screen shows a map of the plane with the available seats. Depending on how this screen is reached, seats can be selected or de-selected. For single pax check-in a single seat can be selected, for group check-in the number of seats that can be selected is the number pax in that group. To select a seat simply click on the seat. Click another time on the same seat to de-select. The seats are color coded, see the legend for the meaning of the colors. The Refresh button reloads the seatmap from the host. The Clear button clears the selection,

19 Checkin Flight Info The Flight info screen. Flight info. On this screen detailed flight info is shown. Its shows aircraft details, status, gate comments etc. In addition it shows the number of book/accepted/standby passengers and the number of available seats. All this broken down by class and segment. Click the Refresh button to reload the information from the host. 2.9 Timatic Not yet defined Reports Not yet defined.

27 Native Screen Color 27 settings. For each possible attribute the foreground and background color can be set. The available attributes depends on the selected emulation. ALC like emulations usually don't have attributes so in this case only one item is shown in the list. For protocols like UTS which do have attributes more items will be shown. Click the Apply button to update the settings. 4.5 Setting font To change the font click the Fonts button.
