2 App Use Download and Setup 1. Download app from Apple / Android app store search for Sandy Hook Promise Anonymous Reporting System app looks like 2. Once downloaded, open the app it will prompt you to input a password 2

3 App Use Set School Location 3. The app will then prompt you to input the school you will associate yourself to (school you attend, work in and/or reporting on) 4. Simply spell the name of your school and locations begin to be listed once your location appears, select it. It will now be permanently selected for all tips you submitted (unless you change location) 3

4 App Use Ready for Use 5. Then move yourself to the home page by pressing the house icon in the upper corner to move you to the home page its now ready for use Select House Icon To move you to home page 4

7 App Use Submit a Tip 8. Select the submit a tip button, incident and complete INPUT page Incident/Event Page Opens: User selects one that best represents what they are reporting 7 Tip INPUT Page Opens: User completes as many info boxes as possible - user scrolls down to view and complete

INPUT Page ATTACHING photo, screen shots and/or videos INPUT page: Once information is complete, the user can ATTACH a photo, screen shot and/or video USER selects to take photo, video or attach an existing photo or video from their library on their device 8 USER then is moved back to the SUBMIT button area where they can view that their attachment has been loaded

9 App Use Submit a Tip 10. Submit tip to Crisis Center and receive acknowledgement / case number INPUT page is complete and ready for submission to the Crisis Center --- NOTE user terms of use Acknowledgement and thanks to the user for submitting tip Statement to user/tipster that s/he can check the status, view replies or add more information to a submitted tip TWO Methods to check status, view replies or add more information: 1) Via the app and the review/update existing tip 2) NOTE: USER is also alerted to terms of use and informed that submission of their tip also acknowledges their acceptance of these terms 9 Via website and input of the tip ID number and password

10 App Use Call Hotline - 24/7 Crisis Center 11. Select the Call the Hotline button to speak to a crisis counselor User can submit a tip or check status of tip / provide more information to an existing tip App will prompt user to call the Crisis Center or cancel. Select call to speak to a crisis counselor 1 0

11 App Use What to Report 12. Select the What to Report button to learn of the common tips to report What to Report information page opens and provides a list of the most common tips to submit simply scroll down to read the entire list AND view our Know the Signs PSA 1 1

12 App Use Review/Update Existing Tip 13. User will receive an anonymous text alert when an update or request for more information is needed (APP ONLY) NOTE: Alerts sent through the APP are 100% anonymous we use anonymous gateways to protect the identity of the tipster. 1 2

13 App Use Review/Update Existing Tip 13A - Select the Review/Update button to check the status or update a tip USER selects tip s/he would like status on OR to submit updated information 1 3 UPDATE: USER completes the update box and attaches (Optional) photo, video, etc. then submits sending the tip to the crisis center

14 App Use Emergency Options 13B - Select the Emergency Options to dial 911 USER selects call 911 and the user is automatically routed to 911 to report their emergency 1 4

15 App Use Logout 15. Select the Logout to close and lock app USER selects Logout and the user is closed out of and locks the app The USER, when they re-open the app must then provide his/her passcode to Login and unlock the app 1 5
