1 Mobile Armor PC Encryption Installation Instructions R.6 BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Please print these instructions so that you may refer to them throughout the installation process. Copy off all work-related and important data files to flash drive, usb external drive, Home Folder (P: Drive), Shared Drive (R:), Remove all USB flash drives and USB external drives from your NeoSystems PC before proceeding with the installation. Be sure to use the Windows Internet Explorer browser as you perform the installation process. The installation has not been tested with other browsers (e.g. FireFox, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.). Before proceeding with the installation, save your work and close any programs that are currently running on your NeoSystems PC (except your Internet Explorer browser). Installing Mobile Armor Client Software: Using your NeoSystems PC Windows Internet Explorer browser, open the NeoSystems Client Tools Web portal page: Select the PC Encryption Instructions link on the NeoSystems Client Tools Web portal page. When you select the PC Encryption Instructions link, a PDF file containing these instructions will load. Click on the following link to download the PC Encryption Installation program: PC Encryption Installation When you click on this link, the following Window will appear:

2 Note: Please contact NeoSystems Technical Support if you receive an error messages after selecting the PC Encryption Installation link above. Select the Run button when the above File Download Security Warning window appears. After you select the Run button, the following download progress Window will appear: Note: Please do not interrupt the file download process. Depending upon your Internet bandwidth, the file download process will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

3 When the file download process completes, the following Window will appear: Select the Run button when the above Internet Explorer Security Warning window appears. Select the Unzip button when the following WinZip Self- Extractor armor[1].exe window appears. Note: If the WinZip Self-Extractor window does not appear, select the WinZip tab from your Windows toolbar.

4 Select the OK button when the following WinZip Self-Extractor window appears: Select the Close button on the WinZip Self-Extractor armor[1].exe window (see the above screen shot). Note: The extraction process creates a folder on your C: drive named C:\PCEncryption. Open Windows Explorer from your PC and navigate to the C:\PCEncryption folder. Once you ve opened the C:\PCEncryption folder, you will see the following files: Double-click the PreInstall.cmd program file. Note: If your PC has the Hide extensions for known file types setting turned on, you will not see the.cmd file extension. Note: The PreInstall.cmd program will perform the following: Close all of the open programs on your PC. Automatically reboot your PC. Perform an integrity check for your PC s hard drive after it reboots.

5 IMPORTANT: After your PC reboots, the integrity check may take up to 1 hour to complete. Please do not interrupt the integrity check process. You will not be able to use your PC during the integrity check process. After your PC reboots and the integrity check process completes, login to Windows using your normal credentials. INSTALLING DATA ARMOR: Open Windows Explorer from your PC and navigate to the C:\PCEncryption folder. Once you ve opened the C:\PCEncryption folder, you will see the following files: Double-click the installdataandfilearmor.cmd program file. Note: If your PC has the Hide extensions for known file types setting turned on, you will not see the.cmd file extension. When the DataArmor for Windows-Installation window appears, enter the following parameters and select the Continue button.

6 After you enter your Citrix credentials and select the Continue button, the DataArmor window appears (asking you to reboot your PC). Select the Yes button. Note: It is important that you select Yes to restart your PC. After your PC reboots login to the DataArmor login screen using your Citrix credentials.! NOTE: There is a compatibility issue with the new HP 8740 PC and the Microsoft wireless mouse. Your PC may hang at the Loading Data armor screen when starting up. If it does, power down the PC completely by holding down the Power button. Unplug the mouse usb. Leaving the mouse usb unplugged, turn on the PC, sign into DataArmor, and wait for the normal Windows screen to appear. Then plug-in your mouse usb. Please see Neo I/T for a replacement mouse. INSTALLING FILE ARMOR (for removable media like flash drives): Open Windows Explorer from your PC and navigate back to the C:\PCEncryption folder. Once you ve opened the C:\PCEncryption folder, you will see the following files: Double-click the installdataandfilearmor.cmd program file again.

7 You will see a pop-up telling you that DataArmor is already installed. Select OK to continue. Please do not interrupt the FileArmor installation process. When the Installation Complete window appears, select the Close button.

8 After you select the Close button, the following window will appear: Select the Yes button to reboot your PC one last time. After your PC reboots, the DataArmor login screen will appear. When it appears, enter the following parameters and select the Continue button. IMPORTANT NOTE: If your Citrix and Windows login passwords are not the same (i.e. they are out of synch with each other), please refer to Appendix A at the end of these instructions. INSTALLING FILE ARMOR UPATES PATCH: Open Windows Explorer from your PC and navigate back to the C:\PCEncryption folder. Double-click on fawuamgr_install. This patch allows Windows Updates to install properly in Windows 7. The program will execute. No reboot is required. Your PC s hard drive will encrypt in the background. No further action is required on your part.

9 Appendix A: Different Citrix and Windows Login Passwords If your Citrix and Windows login passwords are different (i.e. they are out of synch with each other), you must follow these instructions to login to your PC after DataArmor and FileArmor have been installed. NOTE : You will need to login to the network at the Tysons office to re-sync your passwords. After your PC reboots, the DataArmor login screen will appear. When it appears, enter the following parameters and select the Continue button. When the Windows login screen appears, enter the following parameters and select the OK button. Your WINDOWS password If the FileArmor login screen appears, after you have authenticated to DataArmor and Windows, enter the following parameters and select the OK button.
