1 PIXMA TS5020 Easy Wireless Connect setup - Mac OS X Computers Description mac / Wireless Network Solution Wireless Setup - Mac OS X Computers To be able to use the PIXMA TS series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Mac computer, the printer must first be connected to the Wireless Network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer. The instructions / screenshots below show the setup program steps when using the "Easy Wireless Connect" method to connect to the wireless network. The setup process consists of 2 parts: 1. Starting Easy Wireless Connect on the printer, and 2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the drivers and software. 1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on the printer. Prior to starting setup on the Computer, Smartphone or tablet device, start the Easy wireless connect on the printer. Then complete the setup on the computer or device. See the procedure below to start the Easy Wireless connect. 1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. If the power is on, the POWER lamp (A) will be lit. 2 Wait for the process to finish, before starting setup. 2. Press the HOME button (B) on the printer. If an error screen is displayed, press OK button, then press the HOME button. 3. Use the buttons (C) to select (D). 4. Press the OK button. 5. Select LAN settings and press the OK button. 6. Select Wireless LAN and press the OK button. 7. Select Wireless LAN setup and press the OK button. 2/17

3 8. Select Easy wireless connect and press the OK button. 9. Select Yes and press the OK button. 10. When the printer preparation is complete, the screen below appears. Return to the setup application screen and proceed with the setup. 2. Download and run the setup file. Get the Setup File ( Read the information taking note of the information concerning warning messages that may appear during setup then click the "Download" button. Start setup. 3/17

4 1. Start setup. Click Next on the first screen. 2. Select Start Setup 4/17

5 3. Select appropriate region and click Next 5/17

6 4. Select Yes on the License Agreement. 5. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey. 6/17

8 7. Select Yes on the Connection Method. *Note : (Model #) used in example. Actual model series number will appear in the setup program. 8. Setup continues. If the *Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and click Next. * The router being used and its network settings determines whether or not this screen appears 8/17

11 12. On the Add screen, select the TS series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column. Select the Canon TS(Model #) series* in the Use: dropdown list. *Note: the Model series varies by model, TS(Model #) series is used as an example only 11/17
