Example: iphone + earbuds CLASS- Using Your ipad & iphone Wednesday, April 19 th at 9:30 am Term 5 App Short for Application, is a new name for a program or software o App is commonly used for the programs we use on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets). o Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft now calls all programs/software, Apps. 6 Term 6 Smart Smart devices are those that can connect to the Internet o Smartphone a cellular phone that can also connect to the Internet for , browsing, and cloud services o Smart TV a normal television that can also connect to the Internet and run Apps that can display media. o Smart Home a home equipped with devices that can be controlled remotely across the Internet Example: TV Remote & Apple TV CLASS- Using Your SmartTV Wednesday, April 19 th at 12:30pm Term 7 Digital Personal Assistants Also called Intelligent Personal Assistants Software on a device that can help you perform services or tasks, based upon your input, location, and access to the Internet Examples: o Siri (Apple) o Cortana (Microsoft) o Alexa (Amazon) o Google Now (Google) Examples: Siri and Cortana Classes Using ipad & iphone / Using Win 10 Page 6
