3 Bionic Navigator 2.04 Installer (DB ) Installation Guide Description This Installer contains an executable file that will install the Bionic Navigator 2.04 (Software version ). Package Contents (1) Bionic Navigator 2.04 Installer (DB ) containing installation file for and Installation Guide. Software Installation Boston Scientific Neuromodulation (BSN) employees: To complete the installation of the Bionic Navigator 2.04 (Software version ), you will need your Clinician Programmer (CP) and another VPN-enabled BSN computer. This installation may only be performed on a compatible model CP, listed in this manual. On your BSN computer, after completing the VPN process, you will follow steps outlined below to 1) receive an activation key and 2) provide a confirmation key to allow BSN to track the installation. The steps below must be repeated to install on each compatible CP as each installation requires a unique activation key. If you encounter any issues during installation, please call Technical Support at the numbers listed at the end of this manual. Non-BSN employees: To complete the installation of the Bionic Navigator 2.04 (Software version ), you will need your Clinician Programmer (CP). This installation may only be performed on a compatible model CP, listed in this manual. To obtain activation keys contact your local sales representative. The steps below must be repeated to install on each compatible CP as each installation requires a unique activation key of 9

4 Software Installation on CP Verify that you have received the Installer by following the steps below: 1. Open pouch containing the Installer. 2. Turn on CP. 3. Navigate to CP desktop and ensure that all applications are closed. 4. Insert the Installer into an unused USB port. 5. Navigate to the installation file on the Installer. 6. Verify that the file displayed reads Install ForHardenedCP.exe as shown above. 7. Click on the Installation file for and click Yes on the security window pop up screen that appears of 9

5 8. Verify that the displayed Software Part Number is , as shown below: Note: The CP Serial number displayed here is for representative purposes only. BSN employees: To obtain an Activation Key, follow steps 9-14 and then continue to step 15. Non-BSN employees: Contact your local sales representative to obtain an activation key, then continue to step 15. Web Activation Portal 9. On a BSN computer, log onto the BSN VPN. 10. Once connected to the VPN, open a web browser and connect to the BSN Product Activation Portal using the following URL: of 9

6 11. Click on Activate CP. 12. Use the drop down arrow to select the CP Model number, then input the CP Serial Number and Software Part Version Number displayed on the CP screen into the appropriate field on the web page. Note: Serial numbers are case-sensitive. Note also that the letter O and the number 0 look similar and must be distinguished of 9

7 13. Click Get CP Activation Key to generate the activation key. Record the activation key, to be used in the following Software Installation on CP step 15. The activation key is valid for five (5) days. 14. Click on the Return to Product Activation Portal link. Software Installation on CP 15. On the CP, input the activation key generated from the web activation portal or provided by your local sales representative. 16. Click the Activate button. This process may take several minutes as the system is being reconfigured to support the new application. Various status messages will be displayed as the Installer installs the Bionic Navigator 2.04 software on the CP of 9

8 17. After successful installation, a Confirmation Key will be displayed. Note: The Confirmation Key displayed here is for representative purposes only. 18. Record the confirmation key displayed on the screen. 19. Click OK to complete installation. The installation is now complete. Remove the Installer from the CP of 9

9 20. On the CP, click on the Bionic Navigator 2.04 application icon to launch the Bionic Navigator software. Click Tools from the toolbar on the Start Screen and select About Bionic Navigator from the drop-down menu. The Software Part Number on the screen should now read Note: If the Vercise Neural Navigator application is also installed on the same CP, Bionic Navigator 2.04 can be accessed using the Vercise Launcher. Click the Vercise Launcher icon and select the Vercise DBS System icon Bionic Navigator to start Note: If you do not see a successful installation message, or the Software Part Number does not display correctly, contact your local sales representative. BSN employees: continue to steps Non-BSN employees: Contact your local sales representative to provide the Confirmation Key of 9

10 Web Activation on BSN Portal 21. On the Product Activation Portal, click on Confirm Activation. 22. Input the confirmation key from the CP into the displayed field on the product activation portal. 23. Click Confirm Activation button of 9
