3 Chapter1 System introduction Please set the display resolution 1024*768 before using this system. Lanvision Controlcenter is a full-digital remote centralized management surveillance based on computer, network, multi-medium, video image encodeing/decodering, communication, control, surveillance and any other technologies. It can manage PC-DVR, XL-DVR, DVS and any other peripheral surveillance equipments at same time. It works as a proxy to transmit video image (Video site) and visits Center control in B/S and C/S mode. This systém is widely used in bank, government, telecommunication, transportation, factories, warehouse, education, etc. It includes Control center, Video site, Client and E-Map. The system frame and work mode describe as below: 1.1 System Frame and work mode 1

4 Key words: DVS LVL server input card; DVR Digital video record; LVL Server Digital video record based on PC; XL-DVR XtendLan DVR recorder; Foreside server DVS, LVL Server and XL-DVR; Peripheral equipments All equipments in the system except Control center, including foreside server, Video site, Client (Client, E-Map and IE Client in system frame). Work mode: 1.Step 1: Peripheral equipments register in the Control center At first, peripheral equipments must register in Control center and get its authorization to acquire corresponding rights. Then, we assign resources (registered foreside servers) to Video site and set user s right level. Note: Register Fill peripheral equipments IP address, username, password, connection port and their affiliated relation in the Control center. 2.Step 2:Control center distributes resource for Video site and Client After peripheral equipments registered in Control center and got its authorization, Control center distributes resource of foreside servers to Video site and Client (Client, E-Map and IE Client in system frame). For Video site, the Control center distributes resource according to the resource configuration for Video site in it; for Client (Client, E-Map and IE Client in system frame), the Control center assigns resource according to user s rights set in it. 3.Step 3:Connection and Data transmitting After step 1 and 2, the Video site will connect foreside severs and display video image of it automatically according to the resource list get from Control center. When Client (Client, E-Map and IE Client in system frame) sends a request for video data and other operation according to its user s right, it will connect the Video site to get data or get from foreside server directly according as that the related server of requested video data is in or out the resource list of any Video site. 2

5 1.2 Control center It is the core of the system to mange all the foreside server, Video site and client. It offers services such as register authorization for all peripheral equipments and user in the system, right setup for users, relation configuration between foreside server and Video site, remote control and revise of foreside server etc. Each peripheral equipment and user in the system must register in the Control center. Control center organizes foreside equipments into group for Video site to transmit their video images to Client who requests them. Client should pass the authority authentication of the Control center firstly, then, Control center will provide resource list with its related Video site for Client to connect according user s right, So that user can know their (foreside servers and Video sites) status (such as online or offline) clearly. 1.3 Video site It is a stream medium, for reducing burthen of foreside server and saving bandwidth, works as a proxy of foreside servers to collect video images of related foreside servers in its resource list and transmit them to all Client who request to connect these foreside servers. Also, it provides services to display, store and play back video data locally, control PTZ remotely and send video images to TV Wall by decoder (Describe in detail in Send video image to TV Wall and Decoder work mode). It connects the foreside equipments and display corresponding video image automatically after getting resource list from the Control center. User can view all the video images that currently displayed and store them on local disks. Also, you can control PTZ camera remotely by using the PTZ Control function in Video site. Note: In system, the number of Video site must less than or equal to 16 in default. 1.4 Client It provides functions to view remotely, display and store video image locally, search video image and send video images to TV Wall by decoder (excluding IE Client Describe in detail in Send video image to TV Wall and System setup). Generally, it is available for chief to manage remotely. It includes common Client and IE Client based on Internet explore. 3

6 Client is managed by Control center. It gets resource list and lists all the connections according to user s rights. When you select one or all connections to connect and any other operations, it will connect the related Video site to get data or get from foreside server directly according as that the related server of requested video data is in or out the resource list of any Video sites. 1.5 E-Map E-Map is always installed in control center to deal with variety alarms, such as sensor alarm, motion detection alarm, video loss alarm, disk full alarm etc. User can view all the cameras video image according to his/her right. In Alarm display mode, when alarm happens, it will switch to display video image of related camera immediately. Also, you can connect the video image to TV Wall by using decoder (Describe in detail in Send video image to TV Wall and Add cameras to monitor) and control PTZ to check corresponding position. 1.6 Send video image to TV Wall Video site, Client (IE Client excluded) and E-Map have the function to send video image to TV Wall by using decoder LVD-416. Currently, our system supports 8 pieces LVD-416 card as upper limit to decode 64 channels and send 32 channels video image to TV Wall. 4
