2 If you have a new computer with Windows 10 or if something happens to your Windows 7 computer and you have to buy a new computer with Windows 10, I will explain and show about Browsers in Windows 10. Next is about Browsers.

3 Windows 10 comes with Microsoft Edge on the taskbar and it is the Default Browser. But, Windows 10 does have Microsoft Internet Explorer, but you have to search to find it. If you were using Internet Explorer in Windows 7 and still want to use it, I will show you the search next. Note the guru table here always recommend not using Edge, and Internet Explorer and use other Browsers. That s why I will show you latter how to download new Browsers.

4 How to find Internet Explorer in Windows 10? You first click on Search in the lower left and then start to type in Internet, which is next.

5 When you start typing Internet, like Inter, you then see it. You can click on it to open it. We recommend not using it after you download new Browsers. Next is how to Download new Browsers.

6 How to Download new Browsers? I recommend you have at least one or two more Browsers, like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Opera The reason to download two if something happens to one of them, you can use second one. Also, I do second one for my wife with a different home page. Note we recommend not downloading the Safaria Browser, because Peter Cronas found that it poses major security risks for Windows PC users. We recommend you download from ninite.com. It allows you to download all of them at the same time.

7 If you have a new computer with Windows 10, we recommend you also download Classic Start Menu, Malwarebytes, and others you want from ninite.com. Note if you want to download Avast Antivirus and use it vs. using Windows 10 Defender, it comes with a Avast SafeZone Browser. I tried the Avast SafeZone Browser and it is good, but if you decide not to use Avast Antivirus anymore and you Uninstall it, you will lose the Browser. That s why I don t use it. 8 When you download Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, the Icons show on the Desktop. You can add Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox to the taskbar. The reason to do that, because it is easier to get to them. Next is how to Pin to Taskbar from the Desktop.

9 You go to the Desktop and right click on the icon, like Mozilla Firefox and then click on Pin to taskbar. You follow same process with Google Chrome. Next is what happens.

10 You then see them on the taskbar. They always go to the end of the icons on the taskbar. This is a sample with new ones you add to the taskbar. Next is a sample of where they are when there are other icons on the tasker.

11 Here is a sample of them at the end. The reason I was able to show you before is you can left click on them and drag them to where you want to put them that I did on the last page. Next is how to Unpin Edge if you don t use it and just use the ones you download.

12 You right click on the Edge Icon and then click on Unpin from taskbar. Once you click on it, Econ Icon does not show. Like I mentioned before, you then can drag the Firefox and Google Chrome to left, which I did. Next is what happens.

13 You no longer see the Edge Icon. If you download Classic Start Menu, it has a Search. If you use it and don t want the Windows 10 search, you can unpin it from the Taskbar, which is next.

14 If you don t want to use it, you right click on it in the taskbar and a new window opens and then hover over Search and you see Hidden. You then click on Hidden and next what happens.

15 After you click on Hidden, it does not show on the taskbar. The reason to do that is you have more space and you can just use the Search in the Classic Start Menu. If you want it on again, you have to right click on the taskbar after the all the icons, and then hover over Search again the click on Show search bar. Next is how to change the default browser to another browser.

16 How to change the default browser to another browser? If you don t have the Classic Start Menu, you use the search. If you have the Classic Start Menu, which I recommend, which is next.

17 Once you click on it in the lower left, you start to type in Default, and you see two of them and you should click on the first one. Note if you do Windows 10 search, you also see two of them, but the first one is the second one. Next is what happens.

18 A new window and you click on Set your default programs. Next is what happens.

19 It goes in process and then the window changes and you see a list on the left and then click on the browser you want as default, like Google Chrome or Firefox. I will zoom in. Next is a sample.

20 You then see the one I clicked, Google Chrome. Then click on Set this program as default at the bottom and it becomes default. I will zoom in. Next is what happens.

21 Once you click on Set this program as default, it changes the default browser from Edge to Google Chrome. Once finished, click on X in the upper right to close it. Next is about default browser.

22 What happens with Default Browser? If you have a link on a program, like Windows Live Mail on your computer, it automatically goes to the Default Browser. Next is How to set up the home pages on your Browser.

23 How to set up the home pages? You have two options to use home pages. One option is to add pages. Once you do that, you can set them as Home pages when you open the browser. The second option is use just use one page and add other sites on the bookmarks bar to use on your home page. Each browser is different to put your first home page. First you type in the site you want on your home page, like your . Next, I will show you with Firefox that I use.

24 To open Firefox, click on this icon in the taskbar. Next is a what happens.

25 Firefox opens with a Start Page. You type in you want and it shows a list depending how you typed in before. Next is a sample.

26 Here is a sample of starting to type in for thevillagescomputerclub.com and you see a Google search list. If you see it, you can click on it or type the full html and click on Enter Key. Next is what happens.

27 You then see it on your home page. Next is Google Chrome and after that how to add a new tab to add another home page on Firefox and Google Chrome.

28 To open Google Chrome, click on this icon in the taskbar. Next is a what happens.

29 Google Chrome opens with a New Tab, sometimes it may be different. You type in you want and it shows a list depending how you typed in before. Next is a sample.

30 Here is a sample of starting to type in for thevillagescomputerclub.com and you see a Google search list. If you see it, you can click on it or type the full html and click on Enter Key. Next is what happens.

31 You then see it on your home page. Next is how to add a new tab to add another home page on Firefox and Google Chrome.

32 To Add Pages, you have to create a new Tab. You click on + in Firefox. In Google Chrome it is different. Next is what happens.

33 Here is what happens with Firefox Here is Google Chrome. Next it is explains it.

34 Once you add a new tab, you type in the second site you want on your home page, like we did before on Firefox. If you want more then two pages, you create another tap. When you set up more then two Home pages and you open the browser, it is slower. That s why you may want to use just have one or two pages and use the bookmarks bar. Next is how to set up the default Home pages that I just added with Firefox. Note I added 3 pages. After that is Google Chrome and I added 2 pages.

35 In Firefox, click on Icon in the upper right and then click on Options. Next is what happens.

36 It opens in a new tap and you click on Use Current Pages. Next is what happens.

37 In Chrome, click on Icon in the upper right and then click on Settings. Next is what happens.

38 You then see them next to the Home Page. When you close it on X in the open right to close it and then when you open it again you will see the home pages you set. Next is Google Chrome.

39 It opens in a new tap and you click on Set pages. Next is what happens.

40 A new window opens and you click on Use current pages and then click on OK. Next is what happens.

41 You then see the box has changed. When you close it on X in the open right to close it and then when you open it again you will see the home pages you set. Next is how to show Bookmarks bar with Firefox.

42 You click on this Icon and you see a list and then click on Bookmarks Toolbar and then click on View Bookmarks Toolbar and next what happens.

43 You then see the Bookmarks Toolbar and it shows Most Visited. To add the site that is on your page to the Toolbar, you click on this Icon. Next is what happens.

44 You then see the Name and you also change it. You then click on Other Bookmarks and you see a list and click on Bookmarks Toolbar. Next is what happens.

45 You then see it on the Bookmarks bar. But, for some reason it does not show the full name. When you click on another tap, you follow the same process to add it on the Bookmarks bar. Next is a sample that I did with the other two taps.

46 Here is a sample. Once you finish, you click on Done. As I mentioned before, the second option is use just use one page and add other sites from Bookmarks bar to use on your home page. Next is a sample with one page.

47 The difference about bookmarks bar vs. setting up two home pages is you can click on the sites in the bookmarks to go to them and you can go back and forth. Here is a sample with just one home page. Then click on Mail and next what happens.

48 You then see your on the home tap. Next is a sample when you click on the third one.

49 You then see The Weather on the home tap. You can always go back and forth. As I showed you before you can set just one of them, like the as your home page when you open it. Next is how to show Bookmarks bar on Google Chrome. After that is about folders.

50 In Chrome, click on Icon again in the upper right and then click Bookmarks and then click on Show bookmarks bar. Next is what happens.

51 You then see the bookmarks bar. Next is to add a site to the bookmarks bar. You first should click on the first page. Then click on this Icon in right. Next is what happens.

52 A new window opens called Bookmark added and you then see the first one on the bookmarks bar. Then click on Done. You then click on the second tap and follow the same process to add it. To go back and forth with just one tap, it is the same that I showed you with Firefox. Next is about adding folders.

53 After you add the Home pages on the bookmarks bar, I recommend you add folders when you add other sites you want to visit. You can add a folder and add a site to the folder. Note Firefox allows you to download a backup of Bookmarks. You then can put it on your external hard drive. The reason to do that is if something happens to your computer and you have to get a new computer. You can then import the Bookmarks backup to Firefox on your new computer. Next is how to add folder and site to the folder in Firefox.

54 First you go to another site that you want to add under a folder. Note I just did it on just one tap called The Villages Computer Club. Next is how to add a folder and add the site under the folder.

55 You click on the same icon I showed before and click next to the Folder again and then click on Choose. Next is what happens.

56 Window changes and make sure you click on Bookmarks Toolbar and then click on New Folder and the then type in the name, like Websites. Once complete, click on Done and next is what happens.

57 Once you click on Done, you see the folder on the Bookmarks bar and when you click on it, you see the site we added. Next is a sample of other folders I added and other sites.

58 Here is sample of the other 2 folders. When you click on a Websites again, you see a list of the ones I added. Next is how to do folders in Google Chrome. You first add a new site again.

59 You thenclick on the same icon I showed before and click next to the Folder again and then click on Choose another folder. Next is what happens.

60 Window changes and make sure you click on Bookmarks bar and then click on New Folder and the then type in the name, like Websites. Once complete, click on Save and next is what happens.

61 Once you click on Save, you see the folder on the Bookmarks bar and when you click on it, you see the site we added. Next is How to import the Bookmarks from Firefox to Google Chrome.

62 A new window opens. You then click on Microsoft Edge to see a list, which is next.

63 You then see the list and click on Mozilla Firefox. Next is what happens.

64 Window changes and you see Select items to import. You can do all or uncheck ones you don t want. Once finished, then click on Import. Next is what happens.

65 If Firefox is open, it asks you to close it. Once complete you see a Imported from Firefox folder. Then click on Done. Next is about the folder.

66 When you click on it, you see a list. You can right click on any of them and delete them. I decided to delete a lot of them except the Bookmarks Toolbar. Next is what it looks like.

67 This is what it looks like when I deleted a lot of them. Note you can left click and hold down on any of them and drag them to the bar. I decided to do that so it looks like Firefox. Once I did that, I deleted the Imported From Firefox folder. Next is what it looks like.

68 You then see it like I showed you in Firefox. The other reason so when I import them from Google Chrome to another Browser, like Avast SafeZone. Next I will explain about how to set up a Browser when you open your computer.

69 How to set up Windows 10 Startup to automatically open a Browser when you turn on your computer. I had a friend who wanted that, because she wanted to just see her when she turned on the computer. It also is a little slow. That s why I just use the Taskbar to open the Browser. Next is more about it.
