1 ISV Map Site Tools Upon initial load of the ISV Map Site, the Header bar, which displays Client specific details for the purpose of the site, slides down to reveal information. Then, after a short delay, slides back up to maximize screen availability for the map information. To get it back, just click on the Header bar name to toggle it back and forth. This principle applies to all tool bars on the site. Navigation Tools: Allows for general navigation within the map window. Search Tools: Allows for functions to be performed utilizing the map data. Skewer Tool: Allows for docking of minimized tool windows for quick access. Map Tools: Allows for additional functions within the map environment. Zoom: Gives you the ability to zoom in and out, plus pan within the map. Overview Map: Displays a zoomed out map in relation to your current zoom level in the map window. Map Scale: Displays the current map scale based on your zoom level. 21 March 2012 Page 1 of 5

2 Skewer Tool Help Recenter Windows Allows you to open the Help widget which contains information about the site, help documents, FAQs, Videos, and interface for reporting issues, request, and errors with the site. Allows you to ability to recenter windows within the map view window that may have been placed off screen Skewer Tool: The skewer is built to always hold the Help widget and the Recenter Windows button. In addition, at any one time, it can hold up to (4) four other items to be used for quick access. As you add more items, they get placed in the third position and push all other items down with the fourth getting dropped off the list and so on. 21 March 2012 Page 2 of 5

3 Navigation Tools Zoom In Zoom Out Pan the Map Zoom to Full Extent Zoom Back Zoom Forward Allows you to zoom in by clicking a point or dragging a box Allows you to zoom out by clicking a point or dragging a box Allows you to pan the map Allows you to zoom to the full extent of the map (same view as initial site load) Allows you to create a.jpg image that can be used for copying and pasting Allows you to cycle to the previous record search result Navigation Tool: There are a several shortcut functions that you may also use to perform some of the navigation within the map. The left mouse button, scroll wheel, and keyboard can be used to perform the same functions as some of the buttons, as follows: Hold down the left mouse button and moving the cursor around the map enables the Pan function. Hold down the SHIFT key, click and hold the left mouse button, drag a box across the map. This enables the Zoom In function to the specified area. Using the upward motion on the mouse scroll wheel allows you to Zoom In the map. Using the downward motion on the mouse scroll wheel allows you to Zoom Out the map. 21 March 2012 Page 3 of 5

4 Search Tools Search Identify Locate Select Buffer Allows you to perform a simple or advanced search on data based on entered information; you may reduce your search area to what is seen on the map by checking the box to Use Map Extent. Allows you to identify on items in the map to retrieve more information (Defined Layers represents customized data fields; Choose a Layer isolated search; All Layers everything) Allows you to enter and address to determine its location; allows you to utilize Bing Maps address and location search engines; allows you to enter a specific coordinates to determine its location Allows you select data by point, line, rectangle, or polygon by choosing your layer, choosing your draw selection graphic, clicking Add to selection box, and then clicking the Select button Allows you buffer data by point or line by choosing your layer, choosing your draw buffer graphic, entering the distance amount, and then clicking the Buffer button 21 March 2012 Page 4 of 5
