How do I synchronize my Android device with my computer? How do I launch TerraGo Mobile? How do I obtain more information? What is TerraGo Mobile? TerraGo Mobile for Android is a geospatial application that allows you to interact with GeoPDF files on your Android device. You can obtain coordinates of any point on a map, pan and fling across a page, specify an area in which to zoom on your map and specify application behavior preferences. You can add single- and multi-point GeoMarks to your map. A GeoMark is the TerraGo collaboration component that has a location and attributes. GeoMarks are collected and viewed by TerraGo collaboration software such as TerraGo Mobile, TerraGo Composer and TerraGo Toolbar. Using the GeoMark Editor, you can attach GeoForms, media files and hyperlinks to your GeoMarks. You can complete forms attached to new or imported GeoMarks and then export the data to your peers. You can measure distances and the area within a boundary and then convert those measurements to GeoMarks. You can view map coordinates in Google Maps and track your map position with a GPS. TerraGo Mobile for Android displays map coordinates in latitude and longitude WGS 84 Decimal Degrees and Military Grid Reference System. 3D GeoPDF files are unsupported at this time.

2 What s new in this release? What s new in version What map am I on? When viewing the TerraGo Mobile projects list with your GPS enabled, the application will highlight in blue any map name overlapping your current GPS position. TerraGo Mobile Data Manager TerraGo Mobile Data Manager allows for a file(s) to be moved to and from the device via the use of a web page broadcast over Wi-Fi from the device. In order to use the feature, the device and system accessing the page must be on the same Wi-Fi network. When the device is displaying the TerraGo Mobile projects list, accessing the Data Manager icon on the top right corner brings up a dialog with the URL, login and password information. While the application remains on the projects page, files can be moved to, copied or deleted from the device. Ships with Sample Map TerraGo Mobile now ships with a sample map to allow for easier exploration of the application for new users that have not yet prepared their own data using the TerraGo Collaboration Manager. Initial load of map is fit to frame TerraGo Mobile has been modified to show an initial display of a map fit to frame. Subsequent reloads will open at the area and scale last displayed on exit. Save and Send to options on Export When exporting GeoMarks, a new dialog allows for selecting between Save and Send to. If a compatible file manager is installed on the device, Save will launch the file manager application to allow for selecting the save location. The application will display the last used location by default. If no compatible file manager is installed, the device will save the file to the default location, the Export folder under the TerraGo Mobile application space. When the Send to option is selected during export, the file is still saved to the default Export location on the device, but the TerraGo Mobile application will also display the list of configured export options, such as Bluetooth, Mail, etc. What defects were fixed in this release? Defects fixed in version , 8670, 8699, 9169 TerraGo Mobile has been modified to ensure the GeoPDF file reports the correct coordinate values. After updating the software, projects previously showing a coordinate shift must be deleted and reloaded to see the updated information TerraGo Mobile has been modified to include a close button on the GeoMark editor to make it easier to return to the map after entering information about a GeoMark. If using the device back button, the application has been modified to only require one click of the back button to return to your map instead of two TerraGo Mobile has been modified to address an issue with the GPS turning off and not restarting when the application use has been disrupted by the launch of another application. TerraGo Mobile now correctly returns to its proper GPS state when the application regains focus TerraGo Mobile has been enhanced to accept GeoPDF files that have been compressed using JPEG compression. A corresponding enhancement to the TerraGo Collaboration Manager allows for the creation of these files. Please note that these JPEG compressed GeoPDF files may cause problems if sent to a user using TerraGo Mobile for Android version

3 8679 TerraGo Mobile form handling has been modified to support and display dropdown list configured for multi-selection of values TerraGo Mobile has been modified to address an issue with the collection of a polygon GeoMark when using undo after closing a polygon. In the previous release, following a sequence of steps to create, close, undo and then reclose a polygon would cause the polygon to be malformed when redrawn TerraGo Mobile has been updated to support working on the Android v4.2 OS. In the previous release, users may experience a crash when returning to the application after attempting to capture a photo TerraGo Mobile has been updated to no longer archive non-geopdf files in the TerraGo archive folder TerraGo Mobile has been updated to be more responsive to a pinch to zoom action. What are the known issues in this release? Depending upon the parameters specified or transformations applied during GeoPDF file creation, the following projections may provide inaccurate information: Gall Stereographic, Oblique Stereographic Alternative, PG Polar Stereographic, SD Stereographic, Stereographic, Stereographic North Pole and Universal Polar Stereographic. The following datums may provide inaccurate information: European Datum 1950 and European Datum 1950 (1977). Depending upon your Android device, the number of GeoMarks on your map and the number of vertices comprising the GeoMarks, TerraGo Mobile for Android performance may be impacted. The Files and Projects lists may not refresh as expected. To manually refresh a list, tap the other tab to display that list and then tap the tab that contains the list you want to refresh. If you open a file using TerraGo Mobile for Android, the file is moved from its original location into the Archive folder. If you rotate your Android device prior to saving your URL (Links tab, GeoMark Editor), TerraGo Mobile for Android clears the text field and exits Edit mode. Depending upon the contents of the.twz file you are opening or importing, some files may not be moved from the Import to the Archive folder. Using the My Files application to launch TerraGo Mobile for Android and then tapping Home to return to the My Files application may continue to display TerraGo Mobile for Android. Tap Back to exit TerraGo Mobile for Android and return to My Files. TerraGo Mobile is currently tested and supported on devices using the English language setting. The application is known to not function properly when used on a device with a language setting that swaps the use of commas and periods from what is standard in the English language.

4 What are the installation requirements? TerraGo Mobile for Android should be installed on Android devices running operating system version 3 and 4. TerraGo Mobile is currently tested and supported on devices using the English language setting. How do I install or upgrade TerraGo Mobile? To install the TerraGo Mobile application on your mobile device: Go to and download the application. 1. From your device, navigate to the About tab within settings and confirm your device is running a version 3 or later Android OS. TerraGo Mobile will not install on devices running an earlier OS version. 2. Navigate to the Security settings within the preferences of your device and ensure that your device can Allow installation of non-market apps. 3. Download or move the application installer to the device and tap to launch the automatic installer. 4. After installing, find the application on the apps screen and launch the application. This will create the folder needed for loading data. 5. You can load data using any application capable of moving data to your device as long as it allows user control of the save location of that data, for example, applications such as Dropbox. You can also connect your device to your system and load data directly. Data will need to be placed in the following location in order to be accessed by TerraGo Mobile: Android/data/TerraGoMobileAndroid.TerraGoMobileAndroid/files/import To upgrade your existing TerraGo Mobile install: 1. Download or move the application installer to the device and tap to launch the automatic installer. 2. A message will display noting the new installer will replace an existing application, while leaving existing user data in place. Tap to allow the install to continue. How do I move files to my Android device with my computer? Via Wired Connection Plug the USB sync cable into an available USB port or powered USB hub on your computer. Connect the sync cable to the bottom of your Android device. The first time you sync your computer with your Android device your computer attempts to install the drivers necessary to run the device. If you are using an AT&T HTC JetStream, tap the USB icon in the status bar on the device. In the Choose a connection type dialog box, tap Disk Drive and then tap Done. On your computer, in the AutoPlay dialog box, click Open folder to view files. Navigate to the Android/data/TerraGoMobileAndroid.TerraGoMobileAndroid/files/import folder and then copy any GeoPDF files and TerraGo collaboration.twz files to this folder.

5 Via Wi-Fi If your device and desktop system are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, from the projects home screen on the device, click the icon at the top right to launch the Manage URL dialog. On your desktop machine, type in the provided URL in a web client such as Internet Explorer to access a page broadcast from your device that simplifies the process of managing the movement of data. The web page will remain available as long as the device remains on the projects page. The connection is secured via login and password that refreshed on each new use to ensure others cannot access the files on your device. How do I launch TerraGo Mobile? From the Home screen on the Android device, tap Apps and then tap the TerraGo Mobile icon. The TerraGo Mobile for Android splash screen briefly displays, followed by the Document screen.
