ANGELPOINTS R This document details the new features added to AngelPoints in update on October 5, NEW FEATURES AngelPoints includes the following new features: 1. Auto Logging of Event Hours 2. Delete Future Recurring Events AUTO LOGGING OF EVENT HOURS FOR VOLUNTEERS For most clients, tracking the hours logged by volunteers is a very important step in the AngelPoints Volunteering process. However, clients often have difficulty getting employees to return to the AngelPoints system after an event to track their hours. As a result, about 35% of employee volunteer hours currently go unreported. With AngelPoints , you may request that MicroEdge enable Automatic Logging of Hours for Volunteers. This feature will allow you to track volunteer hours automatically depending on the settings you choose when you set up the event. Once Automatic Logging has been turned on, a new section titled Automatic Logging of Hours for Volunteers will appear on the Create Event page below Event Details. NOTE: If you have the CRA Module installed and mark the event as CRA Eligible, the Automatic Logging of Hours for Volunteers section will be hidden in order to comply with CRA regulations. Page 24 of 67

EVENT OPTIONS When creating or editing an event, the Automatic Logging of Hours section allows you to choose between two options: Option 1: Use Activity or Event Duration Choose this option to log hours for the total duration of the event. For example, an event from 12 to 4pm would automatically log 4 hours for each participant. NOTE: If a participant has registered for more than one activity or shift, the total duration of all activities or shifts will be logged. For example, if there is an all-day event with three shifts of 4 hours each and a volunteer registers for two of the shifts, the logged duration would be 8 hours. Option 2: Custom Duration Choose this option to specify how many hours per day should be logged for each participant. You would choose this option when volunteers will be logging hours that are more or less than the total event duration. The number of hours you specify will be logged for every day the event takes place. For example, for a 3-day event taking place Friday through Sunday, you may specify 4 hours and each participant will be automatically logged for 12 hours (4 hours * 3 days) once the event concludes. NOTE: If your event is longer than 8 hours, Custom Duration will be selected by default and set to 8 hours per day. You may change the setting back to Use Event/Activity Duration, if desired, or modify the number of hours per day. ENABLING AUTO LOGGING OF HOURS To enable Auto Logging of Hours, clients will need to contact MicroEdge Professional Services (services@microedge.com). Professional services will then work with you to set up over the default Auto Logging of Hours templates. templates need to be updated if Auto Logging of Hours is enabled to reflect the fact that users will not have to return to AngelPoints to log their hours. There is no cost to enable Auto Logging of Hours. 1 Before enabling Auto Logging of Hours, clients should thoroughly understand how the feature will impact their AngelPoints system, including potential effects on existing events, templates and user notifications. EXISTING EVENTS Enabling Auto Logging of Hours does not retroactively compute hours for: Events that were finished Existing future scheduled events For example, if Auto Logging of Hours was enabled on December 1 st, any events that occurred or were scheduled prior to December 1 st would not have their hours computed automatically. NOTE: If you would like to discuss enabling ATH for pre-existing events, please contact us for more information at (services@microedge.com). 1 There may be a service fee if you choose to customize the default templates. Please discuss this with professional services when you are scheduling Auto Logging of Hours to be enabled. Page 25 of 67

TEMPLATES If you use Follow-up Notifications with your events, enabling Auto Logging of Hours will require modification of your templates. There are three templates that are utilized: Template 1: Notification with Auto Logging Disabled NOTE: If CRA Module is installed and CRA Eligible is checked for the event, this will be the default template used for all notifications. Template 2: Notification with Auto Logging and no Survey Template 3: notification with Auto Logging and Survey Link Page 26 of 67

USER NOTIFICATION TO SUBMIT HOURS Normally on a user s My Page tab, a notification is displayed with the number of events for which the user needs to submit hours. With Auto Logging of Hours enabled, only the following events will be counted: Scheduled Events with Auto Logging of Hours disabled for that event Recurring Events that have Auto Logging of Hours disabled for that event Flexible Opportunities (if enabled) Independent Volunteer Activities (if enabled) DISABLING AUTO LOGGING OF HOURS To disable Auto Logging of Hours, you will also need to contact Professional Services request it to be disabled. Due to the change in how hours are logged (automatically or manually), templates will also need to be updated if Auto Logging of hours is disabled. Once Auto Logging of Hours is disabled, all events that have not been completed will not be tracked. An will be sent to volunteers reminding them to enter their hours. Page 27 of 67

DELETE FUTURE RECURRING EVENTS In the past, when an event manager deleted an event that had already taken place the only confirmation was one to confirm deleting that specific event. The manager was not given the option to delete the series for future dates if desired. With the update, event managers will now be prompted with an additional option to delete future events if the event currently being deleted is part of a recurring series of events. Clicking This Event displays the confirmation below: Are you sure you want to delete the event {Event Title} from the system? Deleted events cannot be recovered. OK or Cancel. If you click OK the event will be deleted permanently. Clicking This and Future Events displays the confirmation below: Are you sure you want to delete the event Event Title and all future events in the series? Deleted events cannot be recovered. OK or Cancel. If you click OK the event will be deleted permanently. Page 28 of 67

ANGELPOINTS R This document details the new features, enhancements, and known issues included in the AngelPoints release. NEW FEATURES AngelPoints includes: Certified Compatibility with Internet Explorer 9 Reports tab now defaults to Advanced Reporting page Pre-Event Surveys for Waitlist Participants CERTIFIED COMPATIBILITY WITH INTERNET EXPLORER 9 Up until now AngelPoints has only been certified compatible with Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8. This left many users with Windows Vista and Windows 7 who had Internet Explorer 9 limited to using Compatibility mode. With AngelPoints , Internet Explorer 9 is now certified compatible in full default mode. Internet Explorer 9 compatibility issues that were addressed are described in the Resolved Issues list on page 6. REPORTS TAB NOW DEFAULTS TO THE NEW REPORTING PAGE For users with access to Reports in AngelPoints, clicking the Reports tab will now take you to the New Reporting page by default. To access the Classic Reports page, simply click on the Classic Reporting link in the upper right corner. Page 63 of 67

REPORTS LIST The panel on the left side of the page displays a list of all reports available to you grouped into collapsible categories. This menu contains links to old reports as well as the new reports. New reports will be distinguished by green New! icons. Hovering over a report name with the mouse cursor will display a Tool Tip description of the report. CONTENT To the right of the Reports list is a Content area where you can define text to be displayed by clicking the Edit link. If the description is more than 4 lines long, the Read more expander link displays to hide the rest of the text (this can be disabled in the Edit form). When the Read more link is clicked the text is expanded and the rest of the page shifts downward. The edit form will also allow you to upload images and define a basic layout. PRE-EVENT SURVEYS FOR WAITLIST PARTICIPANTS In previous versions of AngelPoints, when an Event had a Pre-Event Survey, participants were not required to fill out the survey when joining the Wait List. This meant that participants who were moved to the Event Roster from the Wait List were never given a Pre- Event Survey. This was an issue for clients using the Pre-Event Survey as a liability waiver. AngelPoints will now require participants to take the Pre-Event Survey when attempting to join a Wait List. PRE-EVENT SURVEY REQUIRED FOR WAIT LIST REGISTRATION The Pre-Event Survey will be required when Wait List is enabled, the Event is full, and there is a Pre-Event Survey. Joining a Wait List from Search for Events page brings you to the Event Details page and displays the Survey popup. The Survey popup behaves the same way as it does for regular event Sign-Up. Page 64 of 67

Clicking Join Wait List from Event Details Page will also display the Survey popup. The Survey popup will behave the same way as it does for regular event Sign-Up. If a user closes the Survey without completing it (by clicking the X top right on the popup), the user will not be added to the Wait List. A note in blue will state Please complete the survey to complete your registration. RESOLVED ISSUES The following issues have been resolved in this update to AngelPoints. Type Case/Link Summary Bug EVS-7260 [IE 8/9] Clicking a RTE action such as bold, italic, underline, or font causes the text box to lose focus. Bug EVS-7282 [IE 8/9] Import Details formatting issue. Bug EVS-7316 [IE 8/9] Links to each IVA should be below the date on Submit Hours page. Bug EVS-7322 [IE 9] Blank group picker for CRA Search. Bug EVS-7349 [IE 9] Unable to add images in RTE using file manager icon. Bug EVS-8056 Reports tab needs to go to the new (advanced) reporting home page by default. Page 65 of 67
