4 1 Introduction This user guide describes the different functionalities and features available in the OnDemand Streaming Manager. It is meant to help the user operate the different components, from uploading to transmission, of the audio and video encoded streams to Triton Digital s streaming infrastructure. 2 Product Overview The OnDemand Streaming Manager is an interface that permits the user to upload and manage audio and video files to a website. This platform also performs the transcoding and publishing of audio and video files and allows the user to create playlists and podcasts from this library of assets. Note: By transcoding your files on your workstation you will save time uploading. Codecs such as DIVX and MP3 can compressyour media files without sacrificing quality, this is crucial when uploading large amounts of files into the console. When compressing your media files, always keep in mind that the screen size, frame rate and audio sampling rate must be equal or greater than your final output format. We recommend using DIVX compression which offers the best quality/compression ratio for video and MP3 for audio. 3 Video Assets Manager The Video Assets Manager window is the first tab within the interface which contains all video assets uploaded into the OnDemand Streaming Manager. From this window the user can upload and manage the video assets. All popular video formats such as QuickTime, Windows Media and mpeg are supported. Page 4
