3 Chapter 1 Preface 1.1 Purpose of This Document This document explains the restrictions and advisory notes regarding the use of FUJITSU Cloud Service K5 SF (hereinafter SF ). This information must be confirmed before using SF. We recommend that you read through this document beforehand. 1.2 Intended Readers This document is written for everyone who uses the SF service. It is assumed that readers have the following knowledge: Basic knowledge regarding SF Basic knowledge regarding the FUJITSU Cloud Service K5 IaaS (hereinafter K5 IaaS ) Basic knowledge regarding web browsers Basic knowledge regarding the OS that will be used 1.3 Structure of the Guides Please read the following related guides based on your purpose and usage. 5 Chapter 2 Restrictions This section explains temporary restrictions on usage of SF. This content will be improved in the future. Migrations from Windows Servers Migrations from CentOS Servers 2.1 Migrations from Windows Servers The migration (scan) function that creates virtual appliance templates from existing Windows systems (servers) cannot be used. For this reason, it is not possible to perform WL-PKG development from existing Windows systems (servers). 2.2 Migrations from CentOS Servers Migrations from CentOS servers meet the following condition will fail. 6 Chapter 3 Advisory Notes This section explains the points to consider when using SF. Please be careful about these points when using SF. 7 3.1 Proxy Settings Depending on the user s network environment, it may be necessary to configure a proxy to access the web UI and APIs of SF. For details on proxy settings, contact the corresponding network administrator. 3.2 Internet Explorer Settings (When the SF Management Portal Cannot be Accessed) After logging in to the PaaS Portal, if the SF Management Portal cannot be accessed due to an HTTP 403 error, compatibility view settings may be enabled in Internet Explorer (hereinafter IE ). Disable compatibility view settings for the SF Management Portal in IE and then try accessing the SF Management Portal again. Setting example: when using IE 11 "Tools (Alt + X)" -> "Compatibility View settings" If web sites that contain "fujitsu.com" are set in the "Websites you've added to Compatibility View (W)", remove them from that list. If this setting change does not improve the situation, unchecking "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" in the "Compatibility View settings" may resolve the problem. 3.3 Periodical Backup of User Resources We recommend that users periodically back up the WL-PKG source code and software data stored in SF. Such data may not be retained in the following occasions: Maintenance of this service Unexpected trouble during use of this service Termination of this service 3.4 Concurrent Execution of SF Functions Do not execute functions of the SF portal and the SF APIs concurrently. Otherwise, SF may unexpectedly quit or malfunction. If the problem is not resolved even after performing corrective actions explained in the Error Reference, confirm that other SF Portal or SF API functions are not being executed and then execute the target function again. 3.5 The versions of WL-PKGs Any version number containing micro versions (2.1.7, for example) cannot be specified as a version of a WL-PKG. Specify a version only up to a minor version (2.1, for example). 3.6 Text Input When Editing a Virtual Appliance Template When editing a virtual appliance template using the VM Builder, ASCII characters can only be input in the fields other than the description. If an alert pops up, follow the directions. 6 Copyright 2016 FUJITSU LIMITED

8 3.7 Licenses for Software in the Software Library When using the software library in the VM Builder, the user is assumed to possess the licenses for the software registered in the software library. Check whether you possess valid licenses for the software in the software library before using it. Users who do not possess such licenses are not allowed to use the software library to create virtual appliance templates. 3.8 File Sizes of Middleware and Applications When including middleware and applications in a virtual appliance template, ensure that the total file size is 3 GB or smaller. If the total size exceeds 3 GB, the virtual appliance template cannot be created. 3.9 The Project Catalog Is Unsupported In the VM Builder, do not select projects displayed in the Project Catalog in the configuration information. SF does not support software in the project catalog Actions to take in Web Browsers When a Password is Changed If you changed a password in the SF Portal while operating the VM Builder, close all web browsers and then log in to the SF Portal again Access to the Repository of Source Code Management For the URL to the repository of Source Code Management (GitLab) displayed starting with http, replace http with https. Source code management does not accept any access other than that which uses https Parameters of System Configuration Definitions The names and values of the parameters of system configuration definitions that can be specified during stack creation depend on the WL-PKG. If anything is unclear, contact the developer of the WL-PKG Errors during Creation or Deletion of Stacks When creating or deleting stacks, if the error below is displayed, an error may have occurred in K5 IaaS. If there are no problems with parameters, check the operation status of K5 IaaS. Stack creation failed. Please confirm the parameters(504) 3.14 Deletion of Virtual Appliances That Were Registered with K5 IaaS during Creation of Stacks The names of the virtual appliances (images) that are registered with K5 IaaS during creation of stacks using SF are the same as the names of the corresponding software stack definitions. 9 an image registered with K5 IaaS, select the image with the same name as the corresponding software stack definition. As multiple images with the same name can exist, a registered image and an image created during stack creation may have been registered with the same name. In such cases, check the creation date and other information of the images to select the image to delete. Be careful not to delete the wrong image by mistake. If the name of the software stack definition in the WL-PKG is unclear, contact the developer of the WL-PKG. Virtual appliances (images) are registered in the default project set by a K5 IaaS user. The registered images are configured so that they can be referred from the project in which the stacks are created, by the virtual server image sharing function of K5 IaaS. When deleting an image, delete it from the default project. For details on the virtual server image sharing function, refer to Sharing Virtual Server Images in the FUJITSU Cloud Service K5 IaaS Features Handbook Time Required for Stack Creation As it takes a long time to create stacks in SF, perform stack creation when sufficient time is available and wait for the completion of the operation. The execution status of stack creation can be confirmed on the stack list screen of the SF Portal. The stack creation function of SF performs K5 IaaS stack creation (orchestration) as well as automatic generation of virtual appliances. For this reason, the time required to create stacks in SF highly depends on the contents of the software stack definition and system configuration definition, both of which are contained in the WL-PKG to be used. In general, the initial stack creation for a WL-PKG takes 30 minutes (the second and subsequent operations take shorter, as registered virtual appliances are reused) Error Upon Multiple Simultaneous Executions of Stack Creation When multiple stack creation operations are executed at the same time in SF, the error below may occur. 10 3.17 Unknown Error The Unknown Error message may be displayed in the following conditions. Take the corrective action corresponding to each condition. However, the service is still accessible by specifying the URL of the source management service Initial Login to Windows Server 2012 R2 When you log in to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 for the first time, the message Do you want to find PCs, devices, and content on this network, and automatically connect to devices like printers and TVs? is displayed. Be sure to select Yes as the response to this message. If No is selected, it will not be possible to log in to the virtual server. If you need to log in to the virtual server, it will be necessary to recreate the stack. 11 3.20 Points to Consider When Deleting Users or Changing Passwords in K5 IaaS When deleting the K5 IaaS user or changing the password that was used during stack creation, delete any images that have been registered by that user beforehand. For details on how to delete images, refer to Delete image in the IaaS API Reference - Foundation Service. SF uses the K5 IaaS users and passwords that were used during stack creation to register and use images in K5 IaaS. As the images registered in K5 IaaS are associated with the information of K5 IaaS that was used during registration, if the information is deleted or changed, the images can no longer be used nor deleted. If an image cannot be used nor deleted because you deleted the associated K5 IaaS user or changed the password by mistake, request the help desk to delete the corresponding image. 10 Copyright 2016 FUJITSU LIMITED
