2 Congratulations and thank you for becoming part of our team as part of Capita Translation and Interpreting. We are very excited to have you on board. Our Vendor Management team should have already provided you with the following: - Your own individual login for accessing the system; - Access to MultiTrans TM user guides To get you ready for using MultiTrans TM for live projects, it is important that your supplied login details function correctly and that you can access the tool with no complications. We would appreciate it if you could take the time to complete a short new user account access test to ensure you can successfully access the online Web Editor if required. We anticipate that this will not take more than 15 minutes to complete. Please support.multitrans@capita-ti.com if you have not received either of the two items referred to above. What will you need to complete this account access test? Within 24 hours of receiving your login details for MultiTrans TM you will receive an automated task notification by to advise you that you have a task to complete in MultiTrans TM. This will contain a unique Request number. The Request will contain a sample file to be used. The Request will include a note to confirm that the task is for the new user account test only. What do you need to do? If you are a linguist, you will be required to translate files directly within the online Web Editor in MultiTrans TM if they are compatible. In order to make sure you can access this area successfully, please follow the instructions below. Stage 1: Minimum System Requirements (Estimated 5 minutes) Stage 2: Accessing the Web Editor (Estimated 5 minutes) Stage 3: Web Editor - First time access (Estimated 3 minutes) Stage 4: Completing the Task (Estimated 2 minutes) Please note all screenshots shown below are from Windows 7. What you see on screen may vary according to the version of Windows you are using. Stage 1: Minimum System Requirements (Estimated 5 minutes) In order to successfully work with the MultiTrans TM portal and Web Editor you will need to make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. If you are unable to comply with any of the 5 requirements below, please support.multitrans@capita-ti.com. 1. Operating System: Microsoft Vista or later version should be used Please let us know ASAP if you don t have access to a computer with Vista or later. 2. Browser Version: Internet Explorer (IE) 9 or higher should be used. Upgrade to the latest version here. Please note, the Web Editor will not work in other browsers. If you are using Windows 10, you must log into the MultiTrans TM portal first through Internet Explorer, not Page 1
3 Internet Edge. Internet Explorer can be accessed through Internet Edge as shown in the screenshot below. 3. Microsoft Framework:.Net Framework 4 or higher must be installed. i. Check your version by going to Programs and Features in Control Panel, accessed from the Windows Start menu: ii. The next steps depend on what view you have selected from the 'View by:' dropdown list located at the top right of the window. Page 2
4 View by: Category iii. Click on 'Programs', iv. Click on 'Programs and Features'. View by: Small icons/large icons v. Click on 'Programs and Features'. Page 3
5 vi. You will now see a list of all the programs installed on your computer. In the 'Search Programs and Features' box located at the top of the screen, type the following and press enter: Microsoft.NET If you have Microsoft. NET Framework installed on your computer, it will appear in the list below and will indicate which version is installed. Page 4
6 If required, upgrade to the latest version by clicking the following link: Upgrade Microsoft.NET Framework It is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version for your Operating System. 4. Add Trusted Site: *.capita-ti.com to Internet Explorer security settings. Please refer to: Adding Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer which can be found in our linguist portal here: 5. Set Internet Explorer security levels to Medium 6. In Internet Options on the Security tab, click on Trusted sites and adjust the security level for this zone to medium. Stage 2: Accessing the Web Editor (Estimated 5 minutes) 1. Click on the 'Go to this task' link in the automated you have been sent. Important: If your default browser is not Internet Explorer you will need to copy the address that automatically appears in the new browser window, open Internet Explorer (not Firefox or Chrome) and paste this into the address bar at the top of the Internet Explorer Window. 7 Make sure you copy and paste the complete address. 2. Log in to MultiTrans TM using the login details you have been sent. 3. You will now be taken directly to the task you are assigned to. Accept the task by clicking on the yellow emoticon on the left, tick the 'Accept' checkbox and click 'Yes' when prompted. 4. When you have accepted the task a small grey 'Go' button will appear on the left. Click this button to open a new window where you will need to re-enter your MultiTrans TM log in details again to access the Web Editor. The first time you access the Web Editor you may see the following screen: Page 6
8 Click 'Run' to continue. This window will not appear next time you access the Web Editor. You will now see the following on your screen while the application loads. Please note, this may take a few seconds, please be patient. When you have successfully accessed the Web Editor you will see the following screen: Page 7
9 If you are unable to access the Web Editor, please refer to the 'MultiTrans Troubleshooting' guide available on our website here: Stage 3: Web Editor - First time access (Estimated 3 minutes) The settings referred to below will only need to be adjusted once. You will not need to revisit these each time you accept a task. 1. Click on the MultiTrans Options' button on the 'Web' tab. This will open the MultiTrans Options window. 2. Click on the TermBase tab, In the Tags to be used for translation section please make sure the boxes are ticked/unticked as shown in the screenshot below. In the Search options section, make sure the boxes are ticked/unticked as shown in the screenshot below. 3. Click the TextBase/TM tab. We recommend setting the Lowest fuzzy match to 75% by moving the slider left/right. Page 8
10 In the Search options section, make sure the settings are enabled/disabled as shown in the screenshot below. 4. Click the Penalties tab. Set the penalties as shown in the screenshot below 5. Click the Auto-Process tab. In the Other section, make sure the Skip segments with no matches checkbox is not ticked. Page 9

12 Stage 4: Completing the Task (Estimated 2 minutes) 1. When you have finished making the adjustments to the settings as described above, click the 'Complete' button on the 'Web' tab. 2. The following box will appear. Click 'Yes'. 3. You will now see the 'Update Services' page. Click 'OK'. 4. You will now be returned to the workflow where you are assigned to the task and you can log out of the MultiTrans TM portal. Congratulations! You are now fully configured and ready to use the MultiTrans TM platform for your projects with us at Capita TI.
