39 Finalize Deployment In order to minimize the first boot time (Boot -> Specialize -> OOBE -> Start Screen) specialize pass must be completed by the manufacturer. Specialize pass will configure hardware specific information which Windows will run on. 1. Apply the final image (FinalImage.wim) to the destination computer. It will boot in OOBE 2. To skip OOBE and boot in audit, press CTRL+SHIFT F3 when system suspends at the OOBE screen 3. After the system boots in audit mode, manufacturer can run tests and diagnostics on the computer. 4. Finally, sysprep using only /oobe and /shutdown parameters. Don t include /generalize parameter C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /shutdown
