1 Introduction 1.1 Definitions and Abbreviations Term/Abbreviation EHI HSP HSP-UT HW KIR SW Definition ETAS Help Desk International Hardware Service Pack HSP-Update Tool Hardware Known Issue Report For severe Problem Reports which occur after a release, ETAS has introduced the Known Issue Report to inform affected customer immediately. The current Known Issues of former versions can be found on the ETAS website: http://www.etas.com/kir Software 2 Product Definition 2.1 Functions at a glance The Hardware Service Pack is a product for the firmware management on the ETAS hardware. This product consists of two components. HSP Update Tool Service Pack o LABCAR Hardware (LABCAR-FWP) o MCD Hardware (SP) The HSP Update Tool is the user Interface for the firmware update process. This tool enables an easy update of the firmware in the ETAS hardware and gives clear information on the current versions of the firmware contained in the hardware. The Service Pack contains the actual firmware, i. e. the files that will be downloaded to the hardware. These release notes are valid for the HSP MCD Hardware Service Pack. The content of this release notes, i.e. Chapter 3, can for each installed Service Pack version also be launched from the HSP Update Tool. 2.2 General Description 2.2.1 System Prerequisites The following minimum system prerequisites have to be met: has to be installed. See the HSP-UT release notes or Getting Started for information about the HSP installation. Page 4 of 7

This list also shows features of existing previous refreshes of this HSP major version. Description Products Released With Support of new FETK Trace FETK-T1.0A Improved heap memory handling to avoid sporadic communication issues, see calls 509978, 509968, 510314 Support of Emulator Probe for the Infineon AURIX microprocessor family. ECU adaption via 12 pin Erni and 7 pin JST connector Support of Service Based Bypass V2.1 and V3.1 when in FETK mode respectively connected to a ES89X. (min. SW requirements: ASCET V6.4.0 or INTECRIO V4.6.0) Support of Service Based Bypass V2.1 added. (SBB V3.1 was already available with initial version; min. SW requirements: ASCET V6.4.0 or INTECRIO V4.6.0) XETK-S20.1B ETK-S20.1 FETK-T1.0A 3.2.2 Corrected Errors The following table contains all errors that have been corrected in this release. This list also shows errors that have been corrected in existing previous refreshes of this HSP major version. Update of DISTAB17 event list handling for 3rd party use case. Event list entries will be written DAQ lists are started and after subsequent resets. Update to support MCE measurements in case of ECU is power cycled during running MCE measurements. Correction to the calculation/display of the BR_XETK- monitor variable: CRC error counter The XETK will now respond with Unknown Page, instead of Reference Page, when an unexpected response is in the page switch mailbox. In some cases measurement using CCP is not possible because an error occurs. ER LED of ES636 does not turn ON when EPS cable of CH1 is unplugged ECU communication get lost when device is frequently is reinitialized. Reboot of device necessary for correct function. Calibration using ilinkrt fails and provides wrong data with XETK when using MCE functionality Adaptation of acceptance range for BOSCH Lambda sensors Support multi-project A2L (working for FETK-T, FETK-S, dmetk, XETK): Overlay memory configuration allocates only available calibration handles ETK Handshake fails powering ECU and ETK simultaneously on Update ETK S20\21, which is in Dual Mode, is not possible.
