STEP 5: from the Project Browser _ double click on East STEP 6: select the Column _ type PR (properties) _ set the Top Level: Level 2 _ set the Top Offset: 0-0 STEP 7: from the Ribbon click on Attach Top/ Base _ select the Level 2 floor slab _ (column top should align to the bottom of the floor slab) Column Family STEP 8: from the big R _ scroll over New _ click on Family 5 7 select the column 6 8 2

STEP 33: click on the Lock STEP 34: from the Project Browser _ double click on Lower Ref. Level lock STEP 35: from the Ribbon under the Annotate tab click on Aligned (DI) 35 STEP 36: dimension the 2 horizontal base reference planes as shown in image 36 _ Lock it _ press ESC twice 33 34 36 9

Parameter STEP 37: select the dimension _ from the Options Bar click on the Label pull down menu _ select <Add parameter...> 37 STEP 38: Name it: Base Depth _ Group parameter under: Dimensions _ click OK STEP 39: re-lock the dimension 39 STEP 40: from the Ribbon under the Annotate tab click on Aligned (DI) _ dimension the horizontal base reference planes as shown in image 40 _ click on the EQ 38 40 10
