Exams & Grading Assignments 50% Midterm Exam 25% - (multiple choice) Final Exam 25% - (multiple choice) There will be certain Extra Credit opportunities throughout the semester
Academic Honesty For the purpose of this class, cheating is defined as: Copying all or part of another student s homework, project or exam and passing it as your own Allowing another student to copy all or part of your homework, project or exam in order to pass it it as their own If you find code or resources that you use online you must give credit. Simple letting me know that you use something is enough. Discussing concepts and strategies is fine, but you must hand it your own work.
Extra Help! Office hours: Thursdays after class from 9:30-10:30 in Room 328 There will be experienced teaching assistants at the ITS Lab to help you. Dates and times will be posted to the blog. Tutoring must NOT replace attendance Do not be afraid to look for answers online. The web is an amazing resource, and I use it all the time!
While in class... Arrive on time...in fact arrive 5 minutes early Refrain from conversations with classmates during class time If you re confused or I am going to quick PLEASE ask questions No cell phones and texting during class Computers are ok for note taking & following along No email, facebook, twitter, tumblr, blogging, chatting, google hanging out, skyping, buzzfeeding, etc
