You are responsible for all material covered during an absence. If you desire to be withdrawn from a course, it is your responsibility to drop the course before the published deadline (usually about ¾ of the way through a course). Five absences MAY be cause for dropping a student from the class. Tardy is defined as arriving after I start the class. Please do not disrupt class by coming in late. New Policy: Students who repeat a course for a third or more times may soon face significant tuition/fee increases at HCC and other Texas public colleges and universities. Please ask your instructor / counselor about opportunities for tutoring / other assistance prior to considering course withdrawal or if you are not receiving passing grades. 4 Students with Disabilities: Any student with a documented disability (e.g. physical, learning, psychiatric, vision, hearing, etc.) who needs to arrange reasonable accommodations must contact the Disability Services Office at the respective college at the beginning of each semester. Faculty are authorized to provide only the accommodations requested by the Disability Support Services Office. If you have any questions, please contact the disability counselor at your college or Donna Price at Academic Dishonesty: Students are expected to complete all materials (exams & exercises) on their own. This does not prevent the student from seeking assistance from the instructor or other students. Copying of assignments or cheating on exams will result in dismissal from this course and the student may be expelled from HCCS. Please refer to the HCCS Student Handbook, Scholastic Dishonesty (page 27) and Violations (page 28) for further information.
