Installaton 7. Installng on computer Informaton! It s possble to do a slent nstallaton of cablabel S drectly n command lne. 7. Installaton parameters. Insert the delvered CD-Rom n your computer, the nstallaton should start automatcally. If the autorun does not start or f you have downloaded the nstallaton fle, double-clck on the fle «cablabels Setup.exe» to begn the nstallaton (where matches your verson). Installaton 9 Select the addtonal tasks to be done by the nstallaton program and check the selected optons summary. Clck on Install. Program startng After nstallng cablabel S, an con of the program s placed on the user desktop and/or n the start menu (dependng on selected nstallaton optons). Start the program by double clckng on one of these cons.

0 Installaton 0. Actvaton! Dependng on the nstalled verson, an actvaton s needed before you can use the program. Attenton! Except the Lte verson, the program cannot be used wthout beng actvated. The software wll be automatcally actvated after some seconds through nternet. Notce! An nternet access s requred for onlne actvaton. Otherwse you wll have to use the fle actvaton... Fle actvaton Fgure Fle actvaton If you don't have an nternet access or f onlne actvaton dd not work, t s possble to use ths alternate method. An actvaton request wll be sent after a few steps. In ths case, after enterng your product key by clckng on the Request button an emal wll be prepared for sendng to our actvaton servce. The actvaton fle wll be returned to you by emal once generated. Ths fle must be transferred to the computer where cablabel S s nstalled. Select the receved actvaton fle wth the suted button. Clck on the Actvate button. After actvaton, the software wll restart automatcally.

If you use pre-prnted labels, ths background pcture can for example dsplay your pre-prnted label. 8 Overvew 8..0 Layers Layers contan all dfferent objects composng a label. Each layer can be hde or locked. Each object on the layer can also be ndvdually hde or locked n order to prevent movng. A layer can also be assgned to a pre-defned prntng resoluton. For example one layer for a 00 dp resoluton.. Add a new layer 6 7 8 9 5. Delete selected layer. Expand / Collapse all layers. Pn layers wndow 5. Close layers wndow 6. Edt / lock layer 7. Object vsble / nvsble on dsplay and prntng 8. Object lock 9. Object nvsble only on prntng but sent to the devce 0. Layer vsblty. Layer objects assgned to a specfc resoluton, wll only be prnted on devces supportng the same resoluton. For example objects from a 00 dp layer, wll not be prnted on a 00 or 600 dp devce. Ths can be useful to dsplay the real sze of a barcode.

Confguraton Color management Notce! Pcture splt color settngs are only used when prntng on a two color prnter. When prntng on a two color prnter (XC...), you can specfy the secondary color to prnt. For ths you can select a color from the lst or pck t drectly on the screen or n your label usng the eyedropper tool. The objects defned wth ths color wll then automatcally send to the secondary color prnthead. Dfferent settngs to adjust the tolerance of ths color are also avalable. The gamma correcton allows you to change the renderng of the lghtest colors. Colors auto levels redefnes the color scale by applyng the lghtest pxel to the whte color and the darkest one to the black color. 5. Show / hde the help panel. Pcture splt color. Add a devce To add a new devce clck on the Confgure prnters lst button n the general rbbon or clck on the Prnters tab on the welcome page. Select the devce type () and devce model () to nstall from the rght lst. Double-clck on selected model () or clck on Install selected devce button () to nstall t. It wll be added on the left n the nstalled devces (). Valdate wth the OK button (5). 6! Attenton! Wth cablabel S Pro, t s possble to use any other non natve devce (6), provded that t s detected and nstalled as a prnter on Wndows. However, standalone mode and "Replace" cannot be used on these devces, and the data ntegrty s not guaranteed on the prntout. 6 5 Use 6 5.5 Save a label on a memory card The Save to memory card button n the general rbbon allows you to export your label to a memory meda (Compact Flash card, USB memory stck, IFFS...) to use t n standalone mode. 5.5. Savng to a prnter, a card reader or a fle Clck on the Save to memory card button to open the upload wndow. Select the prnter model where you want to export the label (). Select the target Card reader, Fle or Prnter (). Notce! As durng an export to a prnter, the Card reader target generates a JScrpt fle, then copy t wth the fles of TrueType fonts and of pctures objects from layout, by placng them n ther respectve folders. Ths allows to upload the labels to a memory meda plugged drectly to your computer, wthout the need of connectng to prnter. The Fle target generates a sngle JScrpt fle, by ncludng n a bnary form the fonts and mages. To vew or edt the lst of plugns, just clck on the About button n the toolbar of the General tab. Prnter states are dsplayed n the spooler, whch allows to montor devces from the prntng computer. If a prnter s unavalable, jobs are automatcally queued. Attenton!
