Dealer Instructions for the Product Configurator Purpose: By providing you, the dealer, with information about the Product Configurator and the instructions for the use of the Product Configurator it is our goal that you will become proficient in navigating and using this tool so that ordering and quoting products for your customers will be easier than it has ever been. Introduction: Product Configurator is a quoting and ordering system that works the way you do. It makes creating quotes and orders fast and easy, allowing you to create multiple quotes and orders simultaneously. Product Configurator is a web browser-based application that uses a multi-dialog approach. A multidialog approach means that you can open several quotes, orders, etc. at the same time and work with them all at once. Product Configurator is compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and up, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari. Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and older is no longer available. Getting Started: As previously mentioned, this is a web-based application which means you have to navigate to our Waudena Millwork website to get started. 1. Go to www.waudenamillwork.com Next, sign into the Waudena Millwork website by clicking on the Sign In box in the upper right hand corner of the page. 2. Sign in using your User Name and Password
Once you are logged in navigate to the Configurator link 3. Either click on Dealer Resources and then click on Product Configurator, or hover over Dealer Resources and from the drop down menu click on Product Configurator After clicking on Product Configurator you will need to click the "Launch Configurator button. The Product Configurator will open up and you should be at the quote search screen. The Product Configurator quote search screen should look like this: Working with the Product Configurator: Now that you are logged in and are at the Product Configurator you can work on getting a quote started. Let s begin. 1. Click on Quotes and click New.
This will launch a new quote, which will look similar to this: From here you can select a customer to create a new quote for. 2. Click on the customer dropdown box NOTE: If you do not have the customer in the system already, you can create them. On the top menu bar click on Customers and click New. Here you can enter the customer information and it will automatically save into the system. **If you don t want to create a Customer, you can put the person s name in the Quote Name field.
3. Click the button to return to the quote and use the new customer Upon returning to the quote you can now find the newly created customer in the customer drop down box. Click to select. Next you will choose a product you wish to configure to add to the new quote 4. Click the drop down menu for Item and select the item you wish to configure For illustration purposes lets choose an Interior Door to configure 5. Once the Item is selected click This will launch the actual configurator where you will choose the options you desire for the item your customer is asking you to quote. 6. Using the drop down menus and images select the options for the product you re configuring Click this icon to generate image thumbnails of options for the item you are configuring
After you are done selecting all of the options your screen will appear similar to this with pricing details on the right. 7. Click the finish icon After clicking finish the item you have completed configuring will be added to your quote.
At this point you can continue to configure more items and add them to the quote, change options of an item on the quote, adjust pricing on items, and adjust the quantity of an item among many other things. NOTE: The Product configurator automatically saves all changes you make to quotes. Upon completing your quote you can do a few different things: 1. Click the icon in the upper left corner to return to the home screen. 2. Print icon: will allow you to print or email your different quote options as shown below.
3. Convert the quote to an order: If you choose to place an order from the quote you have just made, it will look something similar to this:
Fill out necessary information. To place this as an order simply click Conclusion: Congratulations! You have just walked through some fundamental steps on using the Product Configurator.
