Description WebSphere Site Analyzer, V3.5 enables WebSphere users to analyze, report, and manage Web site content, usage, and site health environments. It runs on a variety of operating systems and is available in many languages. Analysis Robustness and Usability WebSphere Site Analyzer, V3.5 supports and analyzes logs from all major Web servers and HTTP log files from S/390 and AS/400 servers. It also supports analysis of various other components within the WebSphere platform and provides centralized task scheduling, including: Log file FTP Multiple analyses Generation and publishing of reports From the client interface, users can schedule analysis tasks to run at a specific time or time interval. The progress status is available at all times from client machines. The ability to automatically retrieve log files with a wild-card specification enables users to quickly pull log files from multiple servers to be analyzed together in near real-time mode. Version 3.5 Features Embedded DB2 support for scalable analysis and cost savings to customers National language support enablement and translation Support for Linux and Windows 2000 toleration to the industry s most robust operating system platform offering that already includes Windows NT, AIX, and Sun Solaris Ability to create content analyses for information about the structure of Web sites and site health information Support for analysis of the following servers: All major HTTP Web servers WebSphere Edge Server WebSphere Commerce Suite via an API (lite e-commerce analysis) WebSphere Voice Systems support for content analysis of VXML (speech-enabled) pages Easy-to-understand graphical reports that depict how Web sites are performing Content and Structural Analysis A fast, Internet-friendly Web crawler allows you to explore unsecured or secured servers without damaging server performance. Using the content analysis features, you can display a hierarchical view of all or part of the site, list specific page attributes such as load sizes or meta-tags, or even search for site problems such as broken links, unavailable resources, or missing image files. Modular Reporting A modular reporting paradigm enables you to customize your view of information. With a set of predefined report elements, users can quickly get information about your Web site. In addition, they can easily create their own elements for additional data. Reports can use time-stamped data or be generated on the fly with the most up-to-date data. A graphical charting capability lets you easily see results with bar graphs, pie charts, and other visual presentation formats. Scalability and Trending By creating user-defined aggregate tables, you can customize WebSphere Site Analyzer, V3.5 to make the most relevant data available for analysis. For example, you can create error reports that include data about the resources that caused the errors. In addition, because the data is stored in a database, you can create trend reports showing growth and change over time. Categorical Analysis Powerful user-defined categorization organizes site data into logical groups, such as search engines or sport pages, for analysis. Browsers, platforms, subdomains, domains, and referrals can all be grouped into custom categories to track affiliations, advertisements, or geographic location. For example, using content categorization, you can easily subset your site into logical areas of content, such as the sports section or the business section. Usage Analysis WebSphere Site Analyzer, V3.5 provides valuable information about site usage, such as the number of pages viewed or the number of visitors. Support is provided for most common HTTP log formats including the three-log, combined log, and Microsoft Internet Information Server, V4.0 log formats. Usage reports are easily created using one of the predefined report elements, such as page views by day, or customized to reflect specific information about your site. Visitor Analysis WebSphere Site Analyzer gives you critical usage data about the number of visitors, length of visit, entry Web pages, exit, and more, using a full heuristic sessionization process. You can perform multithreaded reverse DNS resolution, displaying readable names in reports instead of IP addresses. Other valuable visitor analyses can be performed, allowing users to understand where visitors originate, how long they stay, and what they do on the site. This is excellent information for the marketing and sales campaign executive as well as the IT organization. Transition Plan WebSphere Application Server V3.5 does not include the Site Analyzer component. All Passport Advantage customers with active subscriptions as of August 31, 2000, for WebSphere Application Server Version 3.0 Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise editions (non-linux licenses) are entitled to the same number of no-charge licenses of WebSphere Site Analyzer V3.5 as they are authorized for WebSphere Application Server V3.0. WebSphere Site Analyzer V3.5 will be generally available through normal subscription fulfillment channels. Euro Currency This program is not impacted by euro currency. 201-028 -2-
