BYOD Intune Enrollment for ios These instructions will guide you through the process of removing enrollment from MaaS360 and enrolling your smart device(s) in the new Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) tool. Please read the complete instructions before you begin the installation. If you do not feel comfortable completing these steps on your own, please open a request by visiting the DTMB Service Request Mgmt. site, choose the Smart Device category, then Smart Device Migration Assistance. Step 1) On the Home Screen, locate the Settings App and tap on it. Step 2) Find and tap the General option. Step 3) Scroll to the bottom of the screen until you find the Device Management option, tap to open. Step 4) Tap the MaaS360 MDM Profile. Step 5) Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on Remove Management. Step 6) Enter the device passcode. The same passcode used to unlock the device. Step 7) Tap Remove Management. Step 8) Navigate back to the Home Screen and tap on the App Store icon. Step 9) At the bottom of the screen, tap the Search option. ipad users only the search option will be in the upper-right of the screen. Step 10) In the search textbox, type in the words Company Portal. Tap on the company portal option that appears. Step 11) Tap the Get option. Step 12) Tap Install. Step 13) Type in your Apple ID password. If you do not know your Apple ID password, visit https://iforgot.apple.com and follow the reset password by email options. Tap OK when ready. Step 14) Tap the Open option once the app has completed downloading. Step 15) Type in your full @michigan.gov email address (@boimi.gov for BOI users, @mgcbmi.gov for MGCB users). After tapping on the password textbox, the page will be automatically forwarded to a new sign-on page. Step 16) In the user name textbox type in: the same email address from step 15. In the password textbox, type your State of Michigan network password. Tap Sign in when ready. Step 17(Screen may not appear) Read the Terms. Accept the terms by tapping the Accept button. Step 18) At the top of the screen, tap Begin, then Continue. Step 19) Tap Continue, then Enroll. Step 20) Tap Install. Step 21) Type in the device passcode. This is the same passcode used to unlock the device. Tap Done in the upper-right corner when ready. BYOD Intune ios Migration Enrollment Page 3
Step 22) Tap Install, and then Install again. Step 23) Tap Trust. Step 24) After the profile finishes installing, tap Done. Step 25) Tap Open, then Continue. Step 26) A pop-up will appear, asking to install the Outlook app. Tap the Install option and type in your Apple ID password if prompted. The timing of this pop-up will vary from user to user. Step 27) Tap BYOD, and then Done in the upper-right corner. Step 28) Tap Continue. The company portal app will check to ensure that the device is compliant with all company policies. This process may take several minutes. When complete, tap Continue again. Step 29) Tap Done. Step 30) Navigate back to the home screen of the device and tap on the Outlook app icon to open. Step 31) Tap Ok, followed by Get Started. Step 32) Tap Notify Me, then Allow. Step 33) Type in your full @michigan.gov email address (@boimi.gov for BOI users, @mgcbmi.gov for MGCB users), then tap Add Account. Step 34) In the user name textbox type in: the same email address from step 33. In the password textbox, type your State of Michigan network password. Tap Sign in when ready. Step 35) When prompted to add another account, tap Maybe Later Step 36) Read and tap through information, or tap Skip to go directly to your inbox. Step 37) From the Inbox of the Outlook app, tap on the Settings icon in the lower-right of the screen. Step 38) Tap on your email address, if multiple of your email addresses are listed, tap on the email address with the Office 365 label at the bottom Step 39) Tap the Advanced Settings option. Step 40) Tap the switch to the right of the Save Contacts to Device option. The toggle will turn green when enabled. Step 43) The device is now successfully enrolled and syncing mail. If mail is not syncing or you have any additional questions, please contact the Client Service Center at 1-800-968-2644. Step 41) Tap Save, followed by OK. 42) In order for BYOD users to edit and save documents accessed via the Outlook app, they will need to install the following apps from the Intune Company Portal Michigan Apps Store: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader for Intune. Other recommended and approved productivity apps include: OneDrive, OneNote, and Skype for Business.
