When calling or emailing, please provide as much of the following information as you can: Your Username (used to login to the system) The exact text of any error message Expected behaviour Actual behaviour Page/URL Browser and version being used Screenshots (if possible) of the failure process We allocate a ticket number to each report and email you confirmation. Please quote this ticket number in any subsequent communication relating to the issue. 2. Introduction When you have chosen a new provider for your email and hosting services, the new company may ask you to do one of the following: Change your Name servers Update your DNS records Transfer the domain to a new provider This basic guide will take you through the steps you need to complete to action any one of the above. 3. Change your Name servers To change the Name Servers on your domain name follow the instructions below: 1) Login to your account page (please go to www.cloudsell.com). There will be a Log In button at the top screen: 2) You can then enter your Username and Password for your account. If you are unsure of either of these details, you can use the Forgotten your Username or Password? option under the Username and Password box. info@
3) Click on "LOG IN" it will take you into the Control Centre. 4) In the 'Eservices' section of the page click on the 'My Domain Names' link. 5) In the My Domain Names page, click on the button called "Update Name Servers" to the right of your domain name. info@
6) Click the Clear out Name Servers button. 6) Enter the new servers with their IP address. You can do an IP address lookup at the bottom of this page if you do not know the associated IP addresses. info@
7) Click on the "Save Changes" button. You will see a green successful message once the change has been updated. Please note: Once the name servers have been changed we will no-longer have control of your DNS and any web or email services you have with us will stop working. This is when you will need to talk to your new hosting provider. 4. Update your DNS records How to Access Your Domain Name and DNS 1) Login to your account page (please go to www.cloudsell.com). 5) In the My Domain Names Page, click on the button called "Configure DNS". 6) You will be taken through the cloudbuy basket and checkout. There is no charge for the DNS service, however this will be a 0 price. 7) On your Receipt page you will have a Next Steps option. info@
Form here you will be taken back to the My Domain Names page. 8) In the My Domain Names Page, click on the button called "Configure DNS. info@
9) Click the Load From Template button if you have NO DNS entries. 10) This will give you the cloudbuy default DNS. 11) You will now be able to remove/overwrite rows and add rows if needed. This will be dependent on what your new hosting provider has given to you. If you are unsure of what to put in these pages, please get in contact with the support team. They can be contacted by email at support@cloudbuy.com or by phone on 0118 963 7052. 12) Once you are happy you can click on the "Save Changes" button. 13) The change will update within 30 minutes. info@
5. Transferring the domain to a new provider 3) Login to your account page (please go to www.cloudsell.com). There will be a Log In button at the top screen: 4) You can then enter your Username and Password for your account. If you are unsure of either of these details, you can use the Forgotten your Username or Password? option under the Username and Password box. info@
3) Click on "LOG IN" it will take you into the Control Centre. 4) In the 'Eservices' section of the page click on the 'My Domain Names' link. 5) Click on the "Transfer Out" button to the right of the domain name. 6) Remove our IPS-TAG CALLEVA and enter the IPS-TAG of the new administrator (Nominet,.uk domain names only). 8) Click the "Confirm Transfer Out" button. 9) You will be taken through to the cloudbuy basket and checkout. There is no charge to transfer your domain, this will be a 0 price in the basket and checkout. 10) Once through the checkout you will receive the transfer authorisation code via your registered email address. (ICANN,.com,.biz,.net,.info etc., domain names only) 11) Once through the checkout, the change will be submitted to the registrar.
