KWRH-VPN for DigisignMD Installation and Access Quick Start Guide Overview Kell West Regional Hospital utilizes DigiSignMD for electronic signing of documents. In order to access the DigiSignMD application, it is necessary to have a secured connection to the Kell West network. This is accomplished by using a dynamic VPN connection. In order to remotely sign documents, you will need to download and run the installation program from KellDoc.com. The installation program will automatically create the VPN connection and remote desktop profile as well as install desktop shortcuts for both. This document describes the process of downloading and installing the necessary resources and also how to use them. Download and Install In order to download and install the KWRH-VPN and DigiSignMD resources, perform the following steps: 1. Use a web browser to navigate to http://kelldoc.com
2. Carefully read the Rules, Limitations, and Terms of Service. If you agree, next click the button to begin the download. 3. When using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 Professional, the following dialog appears. Click Save as : 4. Save the file to your desktop:
5. Double click the KWRH-VPN.zip file on your desktop: 6. Double click the DigiSign-VPN.exe file: 7. Click Extract all : then click Extract :
8. When the new window opens, once again click DigiSign-VPN.exe : 9. At this point what happens next depends on several different factors: Anti-Virus Software, Computer and/or Domain Configuration, user account type and privileges you will need to run the setup program regardless. In this example click Run :
10. When the following screen appears, press any key to begin the installation: 11. If installation is successful, your display should be similar the one below:
12. Press any key to exit the installation. You should now have two new icons on your desktop: - this securely connects you to the Kell West network and launches the electronic signature application DigiSignMD. At this point, you can delete the KWRH-VPN.zip file and the KWRH-VPN folder from your desktop. Connect and Sign In order to sign documents, you must use the DigiSignMD application, but before you can do that, you must be connected to the Kell West network. DigiSignMD WILL NOT FUNCTION UNLESS YOU ARE FIRST CONNECTED TO THE KWRH NETWORK. The following steps outline connecting to the hospital network using a secure VPN tunnel and then launching the DigiSign application: 1. Double click the KWRH-VPN connection icon on your desktop: 2. When the Network Connections KWRH-VPN.pbk dialog opens, click Connect : 3. When the Connect KWRH-VPN dialog appears, enter you user name, you password and the domain name that you received from Kell West Medical Records personnel. Optionally, you may click the Save this user name and password for the following users: box and select the Me only or Anyone who uses this computer options, then click Connect :
4. If challenged for your credentials again, enter them then click OK : 5. You are now connected to the Kell West network. Click the icon on your desktop to launch the DigiSignMD electronic signature application. 6. You will need to enter you Kell West network credentials again. REMEMBER always enter the domain name and a back slash for your user name (e.g. domain\username). Enter your password, and optionally check the Remember my credentials box then click OK :
7. If you see the DigiSignMD Login screen, click the Login button: 8. You may now sign your documents:
9. When you are ready to exit DigiSignMD, click the DigiSignMD icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click Exit. This will close the application on the server: 10. Now please disconnect from the Kell West network by double clicking the KWRH-VPN icon on your desktop, then click Hang Up : 11. Connections will time-out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
