37 Microsoft Office Free download for Students LSBU Students are able to download a free copy of Microsoft Office to their own computers or other devices. They are licensed to use this while they remain students at the university. MS Office for Students You can install the full, latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on up to 5 PCs/Macs plus up to 2 tablets and phones (including ipad and Android ). Publisher and Access are also available, but only on PCs. These applications are available on a subscription basis, which is supplied by the university while you are a current student. Please Note: You must connect the PC or device to the Internet every month to maintain the subscription. For downloading MS Office applications on mobile devices/tablets, please go directly to either the Google Play Store if you have an Android based device or to the App Store if you have an Apple device. You will have to install the MS Office applications individually and sign in with your LSBU username and password when you run the application.
How to download & install your free Microsoft Office on a PC 1. Logon to My LSBU and follow this path: My LSBU > Library & Academic > IT Support > Software > Microsoft Office 2. Read the important information on this page about device and operating system compatibility. Then click on the following link towards the bottom of the page: 3. A new page will open. 4. Enter your LSBU email address and click Get Started 5. You will get the following message, click I m a student : Page 2
If you are off-campus, a login box might appear. Enter your LSBU username and password. Click OK 6. You will see the following message, click Sign in: 7. A new page opens. Select Work or school account. 8. If a pop-up window appears, sign in using your LSBU username and password (organisation login). Page 3
9. A new page appears. Click on OK, got it. 10. Your LSBU Outlook email account opens. Click on Office 365 in the top left corner. 11. The Office 365 page opens. Click on Install Office 2016 in the top right corner. Page 4

Using Internet Explorer - You will now see the box at the bottom of the screen below. Click Run: The installation of Microsoft Office will start. Using Google Chrome the file will download to the bottom left-hand corner of the screen: Click on the dropdown arrow and click: Open when done or Open Page 6
The run box below will appear, click Run. The installation will now start. Using Mozilla Firefox the file will download to the top right-hand corner: Click on the file name and the run box below will appear. Click Run. The installation will now start. Page 7

When you open a MS Office application you will first need to accept the License Agreement. Click Accept. 18. Then the Default File Types window appears.
