Additionally, opportunities are now combined, so that all subscriptions with a specified end user and same end-date are combined into a single renewal opportunity. Please keep in mind that information from MyUTM is not automatically synched to the Partner Portal, so there can be differences between the two systems. MyUTM tells you what the customer is using related to configuration, end dates, subscriptions, etc. Not necessarily. 3 Can I order all Sophos products via the Partner Portal now? What is a SKU? How is a SKU different from a part? How will using SKUs make Sophos easier to do business with? How and when do I use the new SKUs? Do I use the same SKU for new and renewal orders? When do I need to include a License ID? Where can I find a License ID? Where do I send POs? Yes, if you have an ordering-enabled Partner Portal profile, all products will now be available there. A SKU, or Stock Keeping Unit, is a unique product identifier. This makes it easier to distinguish "like" products with different characteristics. A part is the code referring to a product it contains no information about its term, user count, sector or price. SKUs are used to build up the term or cost for a part especially when the price can vary by any of these properties. If the price for a part is static that is, doesn t have term or only varies by quantity then the SKU is the part. Most customers want to purchase products for standard terms like one, two or three years. However, in those cases where they need to add users to an existing license or they want to co-terminate a number of licenses to expire on a particular date for budget reasons, SKUs make it easier for you to calculate the price. Simply combine SKUs together to form the right product for the right sector with the right duration to calculate the total list price. When placing an order the PO will need to contain every SKU for the products you are ordering. When quoting via the Partner Portal, it will generate the SKUs for you. No, you will need to pick the right product for your order. New SKUs are only used for first-time ordering of a feature or product. Renewal SKUs are strictly used at renewal time that is, a different transaction is occurring on an existing license. License IDs will be required when you want to extend time (renew) or add features to existing configurations of UTM products. The License ID to use can be found in the license schedule you receive with each order or in the graphical user interface in the UTM. For licenses ordered in the past and for which you didn't receive a license schedule, the License ID can be found in MyUTM or in the graphical user interface in the UTM. As Sophos has existing operations in more countries, you can transact locally with Sophos operation in your own country where no Astaro entity existed before. This simplifies in a number of cases the VAT and other tax issues and makes it possible to deal with us in a simple, local way instead of handling more complex cross border transactions. 4 What company name should be used on POs? Will I still use MyAstaro? Is there a new price list for these changes? Will I get one invoice now? How are the documents I receive post-order going to be different? What is an Essential Firewall Key and when do Partners need it? All Astaro companies are merged legally with existing Sophos entities. This means that all contracts and orders going forward will be with the local Sophos company. UTM mid-term changes will continue to be carried out at MyUTM, while non-utm Sophos mid-term changes can provide renewal SKUs on the order. MyUTM can still be used for: - UTM product activation - trade new features for time - co-termination of subscriptions within a license - creating a cluster and adding nodes to active clusters - insight into subscription expiry - moving to a higher user band - RMA activities - Support requests - Certification Yes, until now, we have been supporting you with different price lists for different product segments. All Sophos offerings are now integrated and available within a single price list that can be found on the Partner Portal. Yes, one invoice can now be produced for orders with all Sophos products (both UTM and non-utm). Sophos order documents will be segmented into two distinct documents: invoice and license information. The Activation key is now called Essential Firewall key (EF key) to better reflect what it's used for: basic and essential firewall features. Essential Firewall keys are only necessary for end customers who want to use a UTM hardware appliance with Essential Firewall functionality only. The Essential Firewall key will no longer be printed on the invoice but instead be included on the label on your device (the same label that also contains the hardware serial number).
